Something makes me think that the US wouldn't exalt someone who is sub-par in pretty much every category except chronic masturbation.
 
... then again, he apparently exalts EM's characters.

Though, I like to think that Fokuf is actually a mythically manipulative bastard who's just waiting for the right time to completely detonate the Realm. Maybe he's been brainwashed and trained by the Cult of the Illuminated and sponsored by a Gold Sidereal. Or maybe, omg, Fokuf actually is the Scarlet Empress who's actually Princess Magnificent who's actually Desus who's actually Lilith. What a surprise. o_o


...on a more serious note, I think Fokuf being a super-manipulative bastard who's planned everything would make him definitely cool, and considering what he does in the Locust War scenario, I don't think it's that far from the truth... Though, as he would be messing with Essence 7 entities, he must be having some kind of supernatural sponsorship if that's true... >_>

yes sub par in every way, EXCEPT in the ways that allowed him to, subtly, see to it that the dragonblooded of the deliberative chose HIM instead of the thousands of other bureaucrats to sit on the throne

but exaltation chooses those who have power, and the will to use it. he may have abilities that totally rock, but he has demonstrated almost no will to change the world around him, or do anything other than sign whats in front of him, and masterbate. I hope he does not do them both at the same time...yeesh.


he was picked be cause he was the biggest pushover creation ever put out, not because anything resembling skill, ambition, or even willpower.
 
He certainly couldn't have achieved any more if he was just a faceless, nameless everyman, could he? I mean, if he was put into the position of Regent, he could at least pretend to be incompetent and appear as if he's signing everything that's given to him, right? Who knows if his masturbation habit is his way of saying "lol, this faith is so hilarious I came buckets"?


Eh, well, I know this idea is silly but, hey, the thought of the DBs discovering that  an Anathema was acting as their ruler and manipulating the direction of the Realm, while they thought he was nothing more than a useless pathetic fool with a funny masturbation habit kinda excites me. Knowing Exalted, the silliest person has got to be the most badass entity in their environment. :|

My personal susupicion there is someone managed to use one of the distant mind control spells on him. Of course a number of things in the Locust Crusade version were...less than well thought out. Battles that didn't make any sense to go to who they said won and so forth. But Gem was destroyed...more than once, so it's all good. ;)
