[Telltale] The Walking Dead

If truth be told, I would love it if it got to a heated dialogue at first, then move downwards from there. I don't mean to put my character more in the limelight than anyone else's but for this particular situation, he's going to be rather important I imagine. I can see this going many ways, including Evan leaving voluntarily as soon as he can walk again.


Oh well, we'll have to wait and see. As for Sam and Jon, I can only hope that they'll continue to be alright.
 
Haha lol, well I don't think SuperChoco will go lightly about killing off characters. They're not really enemies, though they could soon become enemies.

There are a few things that cause you to run into problems.


First and foremost, your character is not where the other characters are at. It's like you're supposed to be on a movie-set but have instead wandered off to the local hotdog place. All the characters, as far as I can tell, are inside the hotel in Crawford. Why did you move your character from her room to the wall when everyone else is at the hotel?


If I am being very blunt and honest, I am getting the vibe that you don't read or skim over other people's post. Because if you did read the other posts you should easily be able to tell where everyone is at. It is not a state secret.


The second thing that makes it hard upon yourself, and if I am speaking for myself, hard for me to reply to you, is the fact that you seem to rely on oneliners alot. Generally, and I am speaking from 3 years of experience in RP'ing here, oneliners are considered bad form. Why? Because you give the other players absolutely nothing to work with. If you're just telling me that your character is at X, I can't do anything. You need to tell me about your character's thought processes, I want to know what she is feeling and thinking.


She's in a zombie apocalypse! Wouldn't she be wondering about her future? Wouldn't she fear the walkers? Wouldn't she be concerned? If you give me more to work with, I'd be happy to reply to your character. But I can't as long as your character is #1: not in the same place as mine and #2 I know nothing about her.


If you can work on those two things, I am sure we'll be having a great time, if not, I am afraid you'll continue to keep missing out.

Well sorry y'all are way to fast. 1. I go to school, then after school EVERY NIGHT I have dance, archery, drama, figure skating. So I apologize if I don't want to read 20 pages. 2. This post didn't really help as to how I should join in.

Okay I can understand that and respect that. But you must acknowledge that I can't smell you're that busy, right? I mean, now that you've told me what the culprit is, I can sympathize, but I didn't know, nor could I possibly have known. Think about it, there is no way in hell I could've known so I feel the point you raise is a little unjust.


I am not trying to be mean, but you could've asked for a summary and be done with it. In fact, I believe Choco made a summary one or two days ago, you could look that up.


Perhaps more importantly, you don't have to read 20 pages to known what's going on. One or two would be enough. If you don't have the time for that then you'll have to forgive me. You can't expect me or anyone else to invest time and effort into replying to your character or helping her get involved when you yourself can't repay the favor by investing as much, or more time yourself. This is just my opinion of course, but if someone is putting half an hour or even an hour worth of time into crafting a post and only receives replies that were made up in 30 seconds, then I feel it is fair for that first person to ignore the second one. It's giving and taking. Consuming and delivering.


Danny, I want to stretch this, I am not trying to attack you personally. I am just trying to point out that there should be an equilibrium between how much time everyone is investing. Even if you were the most brilliant writer in the world, you can't possibly hope to give the other players something to work with if (almost) all posts consist of one or two sentences.


I am sincerely trying to help you out here and it's not my aim to offend or hurt you, I just want you to know why (in my opinion) you're having a hard time to get your character involved. I am going to leave it at this.

Someone's going to get hurt. This will cause a whole lot of shit. I am thinking 50 pages ahead, someone might get bitten and actually be able to trace it to this gunshot because this might be the inciting incident for having the group leave Crawford...it doesn't have to be of course, but I am thinking butterfly effect here ;)

I'm thinking we've already been kicked out, but this simply makes this worse.


We're gonna have to dead sprint out of here, with Evan draped over someone's shoulder, cause dear lord he's not gonna be able to make it to the gates with that ankle,


But on the butterfly effect: As long as someone doesn't take it upon themselves to shoot me, then, it's alll good.
 
Wow Macaberz, you're kind of an as*hole. For F*cksakes, I was just asking if you could tell me what everyone is doing so I can at least join in. I've been waiting how long for that blood dog person to reply but it's been like 4 days. Lia is shy why would she try to involve herself? If she needs help then yea she will talk to people. And if you have a problem with my RPing then you should've just not have joined this RP. I'm sure as hell that it would've made the people in the RP like me a whole lot happier. I was one of the first joiners to this RP and there hasn't been not one complaint. I'll just leave then. And yes. I am hurt because I write the plays for my school drama which takes me most of the year. Thank you buh bye. Thanks Choco for accepting me but I just can't RP with someone who makes me want to cry.

I am loving every bit of this RP :)


Evan's going to be a real pain in the ass if it boils down to escaping. I think they'd stand more of a chance by retreating into a building and taking a stand there. I am having a feeling more people are about to get hurt, and whilst that makes me feel sorry for them, it also adds excitement. They might have to go out and scavenge antibiotics and what not, this is some serious shit.

If you want me to shut up and just play along, I'll be happy to do just that. I did not mean to scare you away. Since my intention was never to hurt you, I will take back what I said and apologize. Please don't leave just because I am being upfront, it's weakness on my part.
 
If what you were saying was intended to put me in tears, then yea it worked. And no, I'm not overreacting. I'm ADHD, so I'm over-emotional whether I like it or not. And come on. I'm 16 years old (accidentally clicked the wrong button when I made my account). Is there no such thing as being a little soft instead of upfront? I would love to stay in this RP but how am I supposed to when I ask one question and get f*cking downgraded for it? How do you think that makes me feel? Yes there are lesser people on this site but usually people keep that to themselves! I've only been on here for a month today, after getting off of Omegle. No I'm not gonna have experience or know how to work this properly. Why would I? So congrats, you put a 16 year old girl in tears.

Danny, you don't have to do all that. We're just trying to give you tips on how to be more involved /: You're really busy and we understand completely. I suggest increasing the length of your posts little by little.

"I climbed the tree." You could write: "I grabbed the tree branch with my fingers and pulled myself up." It's basically the same thing but better. Try it and see if it works for you. (: if not, feel free to decide from there if you still wanna RP in this story or not.

Hey! I heard that :P Still, you could do it and I wouldn't complain. That's what I like so much about this game. Any character can die. If he dies and the whole situation naturally leads up to him dying, then I am absolutely fine with it. I know you're joking though...or are you? 0.o


In any case, don't forget that Evan has a pistol too. If Sam were to shoot him now, he might be able to return fire (and miss horribly, but that is beside the point :P )

See you're actually nice, and so are the others Macaberz just shouldn't have opened his mouth *budum tsss* (haha get it? we're on the internet xD ) I just needed someone to tell me how I can join in. I've been here some of the time, and read some of the posts but I just need help understanding and I'm often too lazy to write all that "I grabbed the tree branch with my fingers and pulled myself up." xD But he didn't have to insult me or my writing. I've been making poems and plays since I was ten years old. I just have better things to put detail into y'know? And tbh no one from Omegle is detailed, so where should I learn? I only started RPing last month and two months before that on Omegle.... So yea, I do get emotional when people basically spat in my face.

One of us gets captured when the rest escapes and then we all hatch a plan to get that character back from Crawford.


What do you guys think? a little cliche lol
