Realistic or Modern Teenage Summer Love

Jamie noticed people getting slushies so she decided to get her self one as she walked over to the machine getting a blueberry one then went to the counter and payed for it and drank it standing in the corner.

Lupa

Glancing at her phone again, Lupa let out an irritable noise. This summer was ticking by painfully slow for the black haired female. She didn't really have any friends to be spending it with, nor did she know how to go about getting any in the middle of summer. School at least forced people to be in the general area of each other, which gave more chances for people to meet. 'Maybe I should just go down to the beach?' she thought, and then laughed at her own absurdity. The laugh pattered out and she sighed "I'm going to have to go put myself out there." she groaned, hauling herself off the couch and going to her bedroom, picking up her bag on the way. She threw in some beachy supplies (including extra strength sun-screen, because she'd rather not get sunburned) and her phone charger. Maybe she could find a cafe with power while out there. She sighed again, slinging her bag over her shoulder and heading out to her car (lovingly dubbed 'Rotmobile' due to its uncanny resemblance to a rotting banana).

Toby

Toby stared out the windows of the music store he worked at, watching the people on the beach. What he wouldn't give to be out there, rather than in here. He grimaced as the child beside him wrung a sour note out of the poor instrument he was practicing on. Turning towards him, the teen smiled "Let's end the lesson early, kiddo. Both of us are too distracted to get anything done, and I'm starting to worry you're less playing that violin and more turning it into a torture device." he said. The dark haired boy scowled and nodded "I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it sounded awful." he replied. Toby smirked, taking the violin and setting it back in its place. "Your parents are down at the cafe, they told me to send you over when we were finished." he said, glancing in the direction of the cafe in question. The child nodded and bounded out of the store excitedly. Toby sighed, running a hand through his hair and glancing towards the counter, noticing the boss had already left for the afternoon. He glowered at that, and then shook his head and let it go, grabbing the keys from the top of the counter and locking up for the afternoon. He headed down the street to see what kind of trouble he could get into.

Jamie walked out of the gas station and headed down the street walking in the direction of the cafe. She noticed two kids talking each other looking over at the cafe's direction she turned her head slightly scanning there facing then looked straight forward hoping not to cause any trouble cause one of them looks like he could be dangerous. Jamie kept her head forward then went around the cornor down an alleyway to take a short cut but there was a dead end at the edge of it.

"Dang it" she sputtered turning around walking back to where she was before then sat down in front of the cafe with her arms folded around her torso.
