Why haven't they fixed that?!Assailant said:Yeah, of course. I've just been waiting for people to respond. Unless...

I dunno, and it's been getting worse for me.theManCalledSting said:Why haven't they fixed that?!
Well @Some_Bloke wanted Ratchet out of the scene, so I had him walk away.Assailant said:I double checked my other two lines to make sure the same thing didn't happen.
@theManCalledSting or @Some_Bloke, I'm waiting for you on Lost Light.
I had Constantine gesture to Ratchet that he could come back into the conversation.theManCalledSting said:Well @Some_Bloke wanted Ratchet out of the scene, so I had him walk away.
@Crenando[/URL] on Skype, also trying to slow the Lost Light Arc so that the Doctor Who arc can better catch up to it.
They did. There was an announcement for the option for alerts to appear for each post instead of only showing them if the entire thread was read, a while ago.theManCalledSting said:Why haven't they fixed that?!
*internally boils as notification for that never showed up*LegoLad659 said:They did. There was an announcement for the option for alerts to appear for each post instead of only showing them if the entire thread was read, a while ago.
I personally never use it myself, as the notifications work completely fine as long as you keep up with the thread. And the update was a while ago, maybe you forgot about it?Assailant said:*internally boils as notification for that never showed up*
That explains that one guy talking about it in that other thread. I heard that option sucked though.
The only reason why I use persistent alerts is if you ignore one notification, the website stops giving you alerts for that thread. Since a lot of things that goes on in this thread doesn't involve me, persistent alerts keeps me updated and not have to click on every notification.LegoLad659 said:I personally never use it myself, as the notifications work completely fine as long as you keep up with the thread. Same... but It never hurts me to check up on the thread.LegoLad659 said:I personally never use it myself, as the notifications work completely fine as long as you keep up with the thread. And the update was a while ago, maybe you forgot about it?
I use the standard alerts, mainly because I don't want to go to bed and wake up the next morning to find 50,000 alerts waiting for me to sift through. The way I handle them is, I open every one of them in new tabs, and go through them sequentially. Plus, I can see what's going on in each thread, in case there's something important going on in them. If I don't want to follow a thread anymore, I just ignore the alert that comes from it. Simple.ryanpk200 said:The only reason why I use persistent alerts is if you ignore one notification, the website stops giving you alerts for that thread. I am aware of the 'Unread Watched Threads' page. I do check that frequently. Funny enough, threads still show up on that page if I ignore it for a while.LegoLad659 said:I use the standard alerts, mainly because I don't want to go to bed and wake up the next morning to find 50,000 alerts waiting for me to sift through. Yeah, it's not the best system, but I haven't had any problems with it. Plus if you accidentally miss an alert, there's always the 'Unread Watched Threads' page.

I'd be surprised if they didn't. It's called Unread Watched Threads for a reason, y'know. If you don't want to follow a page then just unwatch it.ryanpk200 said:I am aware of the 'Unread Watched Threads' page. I do check that frequently. I meant when persistent alerts are on.LegoLad659 said:I'd be surprised if they didn't. It's called Unread Watched Threads for a reason, y'know. If you don't want to follow a page then just unwatch it.
...The unread threads page doesn't interact with alerts at all. I don't get what you're talking about here.ryanpk200 said:I meant when persistent alerts are on.
I thought with persistent alerts on its supposed to keep updating me no matter what. What I've noticed is that when something shows up on the unread threads page, you stop getting alerts for the thread. That goes against what persistent alerts is supposed to do. I guess that's only funny to me.LegoLad659 said:...The unread threads page doesn't interact with alerts at all. I don't get what you're talking about here.
That's how the standard alerts system works. Yes, persistent alerts are supposed to update you for every single post made in a thread, regardless of whether or not you've actually read the whole thing or not. I still don't see what's supposed to be funny here.ryanpk200 said:I thought with persistent alerts on its supposed to keep updating me no matter what. Just forget about it. I can't explain it correctly.LegoLad659 said:That's how the standard alerts system works.
