Well a new character appeared in the form of @LegoLad659's Kyouko and we've relocated to the Lost Light for a Party to cheer up Cadence. Ultra "Party Pooper" Magnus doesn't like the fact that Rodimus brought too many humans on board and worries that someone on the ship might step on them, Rodimus reassures his buddy that everything's fine under Rodimus' watchful eye.

That, of course, has the unfortunate side-effect of making Okabe a huge target for Chara simply out of sheer spite, should she ever find out xD

True, but given that Okabe is already friends with Frisk negates that, as that makes him a bigger target than falling on Chara ever could.

Well, I honestly have no idea. That depends on how much he actually knows about Chara. If he knows that Chara is using Frisk's DETERMINATION, then he might figure that the Frisk he's with will be at least equal to her. Getting between a clash of power on that scale would practically be suicide.

Yeah, kinda tough. I've been doing what I can to prevent Frisk from doing a manual RESET. I suppose it makes sense though, right? Someone has to LET their character die. If we ever lose our DETERMINATION, we can be killed.


Though I wonder. In a battle between two people with equal DETERMINATION, how does that work? Does it RESET if either die? Or are there no RESETS at all?

Well, Flowey finds his reset ability suppressed because Frisk's DETERMINATION is stronger... But I don't really know what would happen with two people that have equal DETERMINATION. I do have two theories, though:


First, nothing happens. When one tries to reset, and the other doesn't as well, then nothing is reset.


Second, the reset does happen, but both combatants remember what happened, and so it becomes an endless cycle of combat until one of them gives up or they decide to reach a compromise of some kind.

I think I like the second option better. The one where they both reset and remember everything, making Chara defeating Frisk impossible, and vice versa. Could make for some interesting situations.

Huh. I thought the first, but I actually like that idea the more I think about it.


I can just image Chara and Frisk just looking at each other as Kurisu and Okabe watch from the sidelines. Chara's face twists up in a cocky and sadistic smile. Her eyes glint with bloodlust. Suddenly, their face becomes angry.


"WHY WON'T YOU F**KING DIE ALREADY!!!"


Just that jarring change between Chara before the battle the first time through to the point of RESET "X" number of loops in must be incredibly strange to an outside observer.

I presumed they were fighting on the beach outside the house. Carnage was standing outside the door, Amber stabbed him, he stabbed back, Okabe shot him and the fight began.
