Name: William Alan Hendrix
Appearance: At 6'3" and 215 pounds, Hendrix sports a broad-shouldered and athletic figure. His skin is lightly-tanned, while his eyes are a shade of grayish-blue. Will keeps his dark brown hair close-cropped and his face-clean shaven in accordance with military regulations. A prominent scar is visible just above his left eye. A tattoo depicting the crest of the 75th Ranger Regiment is visible on his left bicep.
Rank: Staff Sergeant
Nationality: American
Specialty: Recce/Sniper Operations
Position: TBD.
Bio: William was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 and was given up for adoption by his teenage mother soon after. Will was taken into the care of the state, bouncing around between multiple foster homes until he was adopted by the Hendrix family at eight years old. He assimilated well into his new family, doing well academically in addition to participating in a local Boy Scouts troop. His adoptive father, an Army veteran, taught Will and his brother the value of self-sufficiency; camping, hunting, and hiking were common activities throughout William's youth.
After graduating high school, Hendrix enlisted with the United States Army in 2010 as an infantryman, volunteering for service with the 75th Ranger Regiment. After several months of training, he was assigned to the 1st Ranger Battalion where he served for the next decade in a variety of roles (including several years in the Battalion's Sniper and Recce Platoons), serving through multiple combat rotations in Afghanistan.
In 2021, Hendrix left the Regiment. He was reassigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team. He has served for the last two years as a Team Leader within one of the battalion's mounted scout platoons before being recently assigned to Task Force 183.
Thank you. I was gonna go back to work on her experiences in the battlefield to explain the SAW specialty. Is that cool? Also, is the gender thing alright? @Revan The CourierSafton said:Not necessarily. I'm assuming the gender integration thing has gone full-scale at some point between modern times and the year the RP has been set.
Scout Snipers in the USMC are by their nature veterans of the infantry; it's entirely possible that Allison may have spent time as an 0311 and was assigned a SAW before attending the Scout Sniper Basic Course later on in her career.
The CO of the task force is going to be female. Your character will most likely be the last Sniper I accept.TakAttack said:Thank you. I was gonna go back to work on her experiences in the battlefield to explain the SAW specialty. Is that cool? Also, is the gender thing alright? @Revan The Courier
The issue is the RP was meant to focus on the aspects of a military unit cut off from support for an extended period. A smaller unit just wouldn't work, sadly. My plans were originally for a task force of 50, it ended with 160 being a minimum.TakAttack said:Chance we can change the plot a little as to where it could fit the requirements of a smaller team?
