It all began in the early 19th, Nikola tesla unleashed one last invention while on his deathbed. He called it the "Window". It was a highly experimental expiriment carried out by Harvard universities best and brightest and modeled after the notes of the elderly Tesla. After years of attempts theu finally Succeded though that term is used loosely. The Universal fabric of two universes were pressed together so that one could peer into the other side. The project was promptly shut down as all they could see was fire and death on a scale that boggled the mind. Convinced that theu had found hell many of these scientist left the field altogether and two commited suicide.
It wasnt until 1922 that the side effects began. First it was a strange creature about the size and shape of a fox, yet it was covered in scales and seemed able to ignore gravity. It was captured and studied and found to be made of materials not found in our universe, materials our physics say couldnt exist. However the government promptly stepped in and took the subject. Many of the scientists involved went missing and no one ever spoke of the Harvard "window" project again.
At least not in the civilian sectors, the government discovered that the project was a catastrophe. Nikolai had found another dimension and his project window had unleashed a massive ammount of energy into it. The fox creature was just a test subject for this universes scientists as they tried to make it to our realm. Over the decades more and more creatures came through and the givernment agency noticed a trend, the creatures were growing bigger and more complex. As such a new agency was formed to deal with these creatures one that had global reach and was shrouded in shadows. The Wardens. They were hands down the best soldiers in the world and they were tasked with capturing or killing these creatures that came through as our scientists attempted to find a way into this new dimension they dubbed "Tartarus" in an effort to make peace.
Much of history has been built by the Wardens and their science department. The Atom bomb was an attempt at forcing open a breach, Cell phones were an attempt at communications, and microwaves were an attempt to send a message. The hindenburg was shot down by a warden as it had become infested with helium (And flesh) eating worms. The sightings of bigfoot? Nessie? Ufos? All creatures and items from this dimension masked by carefully constructed and circulated conspiracy theories. In the modern age things have become far more difficult for the wardens. What was once animals and harmless beasts coming through has now evolved into dangerous predators and seemingly intelligent beings with purpose. Can mankind Prevent a war between universes? Or has it already begun? Either way Tartarus Beckons.
(Hey guys this Rp is gonna be pretty straight forward. We are humans Who are members of the Wardens. They have three branches of wardens. Hunters, Reserchers, and Propagandists. You can play any of the three roles but its up to you how they work. A new dynamic will be introduced into the Rp very early on to spice things up but for now no one has any superpowers or Mega advanced tech. You have acess to any modern technology or weaponry and are expected to be extraordinary in at least one regard only the best make it into the wardens. On a side not this Rp has a character age limit of 18 (not players mind you but their characters.) Insane characters are heavily discouraged as they will very likely die in this RP. That brings me to my last point characters can die in this RP edits are allowed, and it will be hard to die...But if you rush the final boss alone dont expect to survive. Make good decisions even if You dont die civilians might if you make mistakes and that goes against your record. Lastly i am all for good humor but this is not a satire rp, humor is not the prime focus in this Drama and Thrilleresque situations are. Have fun and if you have questions dont hesistate to ask
