Fantasy Tamriel: The Great War

Good opening post @Brinie

I'm gonna take a minute to help explain to the rest of you how best to survive attacks in this format. The battle system is loosely based on Pathfinder / D&D. So I'll give you an example of how to get the BEST out of your character style.

Brinie has done EXACTLY what a tank should do. He's big. He's defensive. And you want him at the front. We all know it would be ridiculous if he were to attempt a spell or something like that. It isn't what his character does. He's a big fucking Nord with an axe.

If you want to discover someone's weak spots, and you have decent perception (which for the sake of argument, most of you will have), then try to utilise that in your post. TRY things out, and you might be surprised how I react to them. If something entertains or intrigues, I can be very forgiving.

This isn't all about hacking and defending (well alright, sometimes it is lol), but if you want to survive. Play to your strengths.

And be creative.

Treat these enemies as though they have the ability to outthink you.

Essentially, you're fighting me.

Meh crappy post... Sneak all the time. If spotted run and hide. Never fight from the front unless hidden. Work your way behind the enemy. Stick to the shadows or hide in flora. Go for pot shots at the back. This was Brahiel's quick guide to noob survival in skyrim.

I just drove five hours. Taking a break then driving back. Odd how the return trip is usually faster.

Once you're clear of Falkreath, chapter one should be coming to a nice close! (all being well) and I'll be able to outline how to spend your experience points :)

Buff up those tasty characters of yours.

@Brinie @JR McCormick @Naps @Anaxial @Mousie

If you all survive this attack, and make it clear to your next destination, you'll each be awarded 3XP points each which you can spend in your skills section.

That basically means you can upgrade one of your already owned skills to +1 (at the cost of 1XP) or add a new one for 2XP.

For example, someone who already has One Handed could spend all 3 of their XP points, making it One Handed +3.

But someone who has 2 Handed and wants some One Handed skill, could buy it outright for 2XP points and still have 1XP left over to upgrade one of their old skills, or boost the new one to +1.

Hope that makes sense! See ya'll on the other side.

@Mousie is up, then I'll be resetting things before we move on :)

It isn't up to me how it's handled! All about the DM's decision.

I, on the other hand.... am both apprehensive and intrigued!

This is surprisingly stressing me out. Mostly because my character can actually be killed depending on what I write, unlike other roleplays. It's great fun though, most fun I've had in a roleplay for a while.

Ships Drawald and Iriene.

But yeah scary how our characters can actually disappear if we make the wrong move.

That is the beauty of life!

She is a fickle mistress.

In saying that... so far you have all performed very well! Realism is key when it comes to pleasing the DM.

PS: Sorry for the late reply. My day/night cycle is utterly fucked. The wife and I are currently obsessed with Battleblock Theatre, and it has made for an unmonitored sleeping pattern lol.

@Naps and his sore ass is up.
