Fandom Sword Art Online RP - An Alternate Universe

SORA YAMAUCHI ✘ SKY_YAMA

Sora laid on his bed looking up at the ceiling with the NerveGear on his head. He went through a lot of problems to get a NerveGear, but his Father managed to buy it on it's released day and gave it to Sora in his 17th birthday. He was excited, which was rare for him nowadays, and a bit nervous.

He had waited for this moment for a long time and was going to fulfill a dream he had for a long time. Entering the Virtual World. He closed his eyes and embraced the utter silence within his room. This silence didn't last for long as it was interrupted by his final words before entering the world of Sword Art Online.

"LINK START!"

The screen went dark, but not for long. Out of nowhere, a bright flash blinded him for a short period of time. He was then presented with colorful flashes that dispersed around him. In no time, and with his eyes still closed, he could already hear the roar of the crowd around him. He made it. He was finally playing Sword Art Online. When he finally opened his eyes he was blown away by how realistic everything was. He had never felt like this before and it was like he was in another planet. He looked around and saw hundreds of new players, just like him, and hundreds more that were still entering and spawning in The Starting City. Even though he didn't really know much about The Starting City, he quickly wandered down a street that seemed a little more quiet and less populated.

With much less people around him, Sky opened the menu with a quick sweep of his hand. He liked the interface of the menu a lot and quickly got the hang of everything. He had no items with him, except for his default armor and a basic sword. "So weak... Can I actually kill anything with this?" He thought to himself. Without wasting anymore time, Sky closed his inventory and ran towards the nearest market to buy some supplies and maybe equipment with the little money he had. He was going to need everything he could get for the training session he had planned.

Melody is in her room, she knew that she had all the time, but she was kinda nervous. She closes her eyes and says "Link start!".

After getting used to the light and sound she looks around "Well then" she says and smiles, she had been begging her mother to buy it, but her father gave it after a while, she thinks for a while and she bumps into Sky "Sorry" she says and looks at at to see if he was hurt "I'm still getting used to this place" she says and rubs the back on her head.

Lucian Abarai - Phantom_Gumby

Lucian smirked as he picked up his nerve gear. He was happy he managed to get a hold of a copy of SAO with only a few thousand on sale. To guarantee he got one he spent four days, FOUR WHOLE DAYS camped outside of his local game shop. He was the first one inside and the first one to the till to pick it up. The local news channel wanted to get a word with him but he was already gone by the time they said their first word.

He was laid down on his bed with his nerve gear in hand he parent bought him it for a present as he never asked them for anything so the first time he did they bought him it without even need to think about it. Lucian placed the nerve gear on his head and his smirk widened. He knew what to do next.

"LINK START!"

Then darkness, he was slightly panicked at first was it broke it was the first time he had used it after all. A few second after a blinding flash of light and then the sound of talking from people around. Open his eyes he was shocked by the games graphics sure he has played some of the newest and most expensive games out there but none could even hold a candle to what this looked like, the whole atmosphere was just like real life. The sound and feel of wind, the sound of people talking not to loud by not to quiet either just like if someone was talking nearby in real life. A smile broke across his face, he couldn't believe this to say that it was only a game it could have very much been mistaken for real life. The first real thing Lucian did was to swipe his hand through his hair and showing it to his eyes, he wanted to make sure his character looked right and the hair was normally a dead give away, it did his characters long and lustful purple hair could be seen. His character was right a near replicate to the one he played on all games...Yes the Phantom_Gumby was back and all he was thinking was to get leveled and see how long it would take for his first player kill.

Taking a quick look at his gear he sighed, he completely forgot how terrible gear looked like at the beginning of a game. He had a change of plans since you start of with a bit of currency he was going to see if at the very least he could buy s better sword or if not an accessory that maybe gives him a slight bit more damage of defense. As he was about to close his menu he began to hear a conversation talking about none other than him. "Do you think that's the real one?" a quiet feminine voice said who got a reply seconds later this time a male but be what about seventeen maybe younger. "What you mean the one that killed up in you know what?" a nodded could be seen out of Phantoms eye. "I hope its not." The feminin voice said as they walked away. It made Phantom smile he was know even in a game he had only just started well he was one of the top player on what people called the bingo book or the red book it was basically a book that people called bounty hunters would use to hunt down players for gold in a few games Phantom played he was in the top ten to watch out for in all of them. He began to slowly walk to the market.

Nyomi flopped onto her bed, her friends had left no later than a few moments before. Laying on her bed, the lights turned off with only the sunlight shining through her bedroom window, the NerveGear placed around her head and a wide grin covered her face. Her heart raced, adrenaline rushed through her body.

"Let's do this." She spoke calmly, taking a deep breath in and let it out. Eyes wide open Nyomi spoke her last few words, "LINK START!"

Darkness was all she could see before a blinding light appeared out of no where, she tried to keep her eyes open to get the full experience but it was like staring into the sun. Finally the lights dimmed and her character touched the ground softly as if she floated down from the heavens. It seemed that she was taller, defiantly, and her hair wasn't long. "Huh.." She wondered before seeing her reflection after passing a window.

Touching her face and squishing it a bit, "WOAAHH...! I'm a boy!" She exclaimed, her voice also deeper. It seemed that everyone around her had heard, staring at her like she was crazy. "Oh.. Uhh.. I mean, I'm a boy." Nyomi spoke with a little more confidence and walked away so the awkwardness would fade.

Getting to a more quiet place, she checked out her inventory by swiping her two fingers down. Nothing special or out of the ordinary, just the basic starter equipment and weapon. Were 1st floor mobs that weak for the weapons to be that low in attack?

"Perhaps I'll go buy a new weapon.." She mumbled to herself as she started her way the busy market. Everyone was so lively, excitement could be seen on everyone expression and some people had already started to form groups. It was fun to be taller than everyone else since she had always been the shorter person or literally looked down upon. In this form, people can't say she's weak or turn her away due to her appearance.

Sky jogged towards the market and on the way bumped into a girl, making him fall to the ground because he wasn't thinking he would collide with something so suddenly. "Ouch..." He whispered to himself. He slowly got up and wiped the dust off his armor. He finally acknowledged the girl who bumped into him. Not really caring for her words, Sky just blatantly insulted her "Dumb NPCs! Watch where you're go-" before he could finish his sentence, he looked at the name that was just above her head and read it out loud "Silver Rhythm...?" He took a closer look at the girl, she was a player just like him. As soon as he noticed she was an actual person his shyness took over. "I thought you were an NPC..." He said with a embarrassed look on his face. "I-I... I'm sorry."

"I noticed that" Rhythm says and she asks "You alright? And sorry again for bumping into you, I just logged in and aren't used to anything yet", she smiles slightly "You look like you know your way around, any tips you can give me?"

Sky sighed in relieve, he was glad the girl didn't get mad over him insulting her. "Actually, I'm new to the game myself." He said. "The only tip I can give you is to go to the market and buy better equipment or some potions." He stopped for a second and had an idea. "W-Well, you can come with me, I'm heading there right now. It's just around the corner." He put on a nervous smile. He didn't like hanging out with other people, even in video games, but it was the least he could after insulting the poor girl.

"Sure, I wonder why they give us such weak weapons at the beginning" Rhythm says and she sighs "Well I haven't had the time to look around, but I suppose I can stick with you for a while". she says and smiles at him.

Kazumi closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Link start!" She exclaimed, pitch darkness following after. Eventually, she started to see light. The scenery was different from her normal room. Everything looked almost medieval like. She read the instructions well before playing. She knew what to do. Lifting her hand, she swiped the air using two fingers, revealing the inventory. Nothing special, just the first things everyone started our with.

"I best get a better weapon then," she muttered to herself.

Aria ran to her room with excitement at the new game she had gotten. She laid down on her bed with the Nerve gear and calmed herself before saying "Link Start!!" Everything went black until a bright flash of light appeared and she was finally in the game. She squealed in happiness and looked around at the virtual world. She couldn't believe this was finally happening. She swiped the air with two of her fingers to reveal the inventory and noticed she had only starter weapons. Typical of any game. She smiled and decided to get to the market as fast as possible. She was so excited she could hardly contain herself as she ran to get some new weapons and potions.

Rosalia Leary - MusicWolf

Rosalia immediately ran to her bedroom, very excited to start SAO. She grinned as she laid down on her bed after putting on her Nerve gear. She had gotten the thing a while back with her savings and felt like it was a good purchase. She was the first in her town to get SAO and the local news team had wanted to interview her, but in the heat of excitement, she left before they could even start the camera. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, she calmed herself down and said, "Link start!"" Everything was black until a bright flash of light appeared. She opened her eyes and nearly squealed with excitement. She was finally in the game! She swiped the air and checked out her starting weapon. She figured she would grab a better weapon after gaining experience and such. After all if she had more game currency, she could get even better equipment. So she immediately ran for the city surroundings to get started slaying the monsters.

Aria arrived at the market and looked around in awe of all the players. She turned around as she walked the streets and nearly walked into some people. She quickly apologized and found it was to crowded to see to much. She managed to make it to a rather dark alley. She sighed, finally able to breath. Perhaps she would do something else until the market cleared up. She walked into the alley just to see where she would end up.

The whole market was jam packed with people rushing here and there, grabbing the best weapons thst they could afford with the starting money that they all had. Kazumi pushed through the mounds of excited gamers till she finally stopped in front of a rundown looking stall with a NPC giving her a kind smile. Not much people fell in line to this lady, but she decided to give it a shot. Looking through all the goods the NPC offered, she picked up a nice looking katana bound inside a midnight blue case. It was nothing much to look at, with it's simple style and modest frame. Just like her, it looked like a weapon that would be easily overlooked.

"I'll take it!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands together. Her black bangs covering half of her eyes. Handing over the money, she grabbed her weapon and pressed it to her chest. "It's finally beginning!" Kazumi breathed out, excitement prickling in her veins.

It seemed that a hand full of people had the same idea of acquiring better weapons and gear before heading out to kill mobs. Looking around the market with a rather dumbfound expression on her, or should I say his, face. Omi was rather clueless of what weapons to buy and which one would she work with better.

Standing in front of a stall that seemed to sell quite impressive weapons at a rather cheaper price, she was able to get her hands on a nice sword that just about took all her currency but it was worth it. It was quite the sword, especially for a beginners and the attack damage wasn't that bad. Too bad she didn't have enough money for anything else such as potions and armor.

Brushing it off, "I won't need it anyways." She reassured herself as she gave a majority of her money to the NPC, acquiring the weapon with a wide grin. The sword was the perfect size, well for her male form at the least. It would probably be quite big compared to her normal size, good thing she wouldn't have to worry about that, right?

Sky smiled back and noticed that some people we're looking at them, players who were probably alerted by Sky's screaming towards the girl. He didn't like people noticing him too much, but he didn't want to scream at even more people. "Okay, I'll help you. But first..." Before he could finish, Sky swiped at the air with his fingers opened the menu. He went over the Party option and invited Silver to the party. "...We better make a Party." He said looking at the girl, waiting for her reply.

((Sorry for the really late reply! I had some problems to deal with. c:))

(Can happen)

Rhythm smiles and she accepted "Well you certainly drew some unwanted attention to yourself" she says and looks at the Sky "I suggest we should buy some new weapons".

? SORA YAMAUCHI ? SKY_YAMA ?

"I guess so..." Sky looked down and laughed to himself.

He glanced at Silver when she mentioned weapons "Well, the market sells everything and it's just around the corner. We better get going then." Without wasting anymore time Sky started walking towards the market, hoping the girl wouldn't fall behind. The closer they got to the market the more and more players could be seen around the area. Probably half of the player base of Sword Art Online was here. Sky wasn't really surprised, it was the first day after all, but it was still amazing to see so many people in one area. He looked around, trying to find a store where he didn't have to wait in line. He looked around and the only placed that wasn't filled with players was a small stall with weapons there weren't too amazing, but certainly better then the basic sword he had.

With the little money he had, Sky bought the only sword that he had any interest in. The Jian. A Chinese one-handed double-edged straight Sword that looked like the right starting weapon for him and went well with his stats.

He looked over at Silver "What type of swords suit you better?" He asked, trying to help the girl out.

As soon as the weapon was in her possession, she noticed that a boy and girl had come by the stall as well. This stall wasn't crowded but still sold nice weapons from a little old lady NPC. Taking a few clean swings in the open so she would grow used to holding it, placing it back into the sheath. Omi looked back at the two, "Sky_Yama" and "Silver Rhythm" were what read above their heads.

Taking a glance at that weapon that the boy had bought, it was an impressive one but didn't work well with her own stats. It seemed like he knew what he was doing in the short amount of time it took for him to choice and buy it. The girl on the other hand was still choosing her sword, Omi was actually quite interesting in seeing what sword she was buy. They seemed like a couple or at least close friends, or maybe she was just really bad at guessing.

Lucian Abarai - Phantom_Gumby

Arriving at the market Phantom smiled at the number of player late game he would have a lot of targets if this is just the amount here. Taking a look around he sighed he saw no names he recognized meaning none of the group he started off player killing with a shame they would make good allies early game before he kills them again anyway. Walking towards what seemed like a weapons dealer judging from the fact most of the players were around there, Phantom sighed they was no way to approach the NPC as it was surrounded by players it made him annoyed and wish this wasn't a none pvp area since even early level with were he put his points he could probably well hopefully kill a player.

He noticed someone stood right in front of the NPC already had a new weapon this annoyed him why would that player still be there others wanted to try and get a new weapon but yet he was stood there talking to someone, it just couldn't wait could it no. Approaching the two he sighed a he pushed his way through player to reach them. Taking a look at the two players name they were "Sky_Yama" and "Silver Rhythm." He tapped the one called Sky_Yama on the back and waited for him to turn around once he turned around Phantom decided to speak. "You know some other people want to use the shop sometime today." Phantom said sound very rude and he meant it to be rude.

@RSM010

(sorry was eating)

Rhythm smiles and buys a nice sword which has a slightly blue glow to it "This one" she says and pays "Come on, we can go" she says turning to Sky. "You done?" she asks.

"Yeah, I'm do-" Before being able to finish his sentence, Sky was interrupted by another player who tapped on his back. Sky turned around to face the man and was surprised to see the name over his head. "Phantom_Gumby" was his name. He quickly recognized him from other MMOs he played. Luckily, Sky had never met him in a battle but had heard stories of how good he was. "U-Uh... Sorry. I was just helping someone..." Sky said showing his weak side. "Let's go Silver..." He added, quickly walking away. He wasn't afraid of Phatom_Gumby, he just didn't want to cause more commotion in front of everybody and make enemies in Sword Art Online in his first day.

Silver follows Sky "Who was that guy?" she asks and adds "If you think I'm crazy, I'm not. My mother just didn't think this kind of games are for girls", she smiles at the memories of her and her mother arguing.

✘ SORA YAMAUCHI ✘ SKY_YAMA ✘

"That guy is a famous PKer. I wouldn't mess with him if I were you." Sky said a bit upset. Players like Phatom_Gumby only play games to ruin the fun in a MMO and Sky hated that. Sky loved having fun in video games and he didn't like what Player Killers did to the MMO scene in gaming. He hoped he wouldn't have to meet Phatom again.

"Also, I don't think you're crazy." He said, looking forward. "My Father doesn't like me playing video games very much either, he says it's for kids." Sky rubbed his chin "Well, we've got our weapons now but have no money... How about we go kill some monsters?" Sky asked Silver, still with the player killings in his mind bothering him.

Silver nods "Thanks for warning me" she says and thinks for a while "And yeah, we should go kill some monsters, now that we have better weapons we don't really have to worry about getting killed easily" she says and looks at Sky "It's bothering you isn't it?" she asks.
