The year is 2022 and the long awaited next generation of VR gaming is finally here. Sword Art Online, Kayaba called it, is a whole new gaming experience that brings in a whole new universe in your hands, a full dive VRMMORPG. A life different than your current one. Whatever the reason, this new game seemed intriguing to you. Many wanted it, but only the lucky few managed to get one and access to the private beta, one of those lucky ones being you. After finally setting aside enough time to play the beta on the final day, you set up your VR gear called NerveGear, place it on your head, lay down and relax. After a few deep breaths, you log in with the voice command...

"Link Start."

You set up your avatar and jump in. While everything seems fine at first, things will soon take a turn for the worst as a dark secret is about to be revealed about this "Second Life."

"So it starts." Aiden said to himself, NerveGear in hand. The next generation in gaming, Full Dive VR. In the other hand, a copy of the game in question. Sword Art Online. This game doesn't seem all that bad. It looks like every other hack and slash game, but you can never be too safe, right? Leaving his thoughts behind, he connected his NerveGear, popped the game in and layed down in the nearby bed in his secluded bunker. Taking one more breath of fresh air, Aiden logged in with the trigger words and moved to the character customization. He skipped the character customization and is immediately spawned into the Town of Beginnings. He looks up at the town before him and says "So this is... Sword Art Online."

Around the same time, Toshiro, Soul Reaper in disguise, had arrived home with enough food for the week. He put his groceries away and hidden in the closet was his copy of Sword Art Online next to his NerveGear. He stared at it and eventually picked both up. Great, I finally have time to play this. Vanquishing Hollows takes more time than I thought. He looked at the time and realizing he had only a day before the official release, got his NerveGear set up and logged in as soon as possible. He spent some time in the character customization adjusting his height and face a bit before being spawned in the Town of Beginnings. "Time to relieve some stress." He said before leaving the main area to do some shopping.

Mulier Santoro​

Nearing the end of his week long vacation from work, he decided to spend this last day by re-logging into the game, which was the last day for the beta of SAO, kinda ironic in a way. He then went into his bedroom, and closed the door behind him before picking up his NerveGear and putting it on his head, then logged in and said to himself “gonna make this last day the best one” as he logged onto his account, the game already loaded inside. Once he logged onto his SAO account and now finally in the game, his character was loaded into the Town of Beginnings, which was where he last logged off. But this does not mean he was a beginner, for he been playing the beta two days after the beta’s release and managed to level up a bit but due to his work schedule, he did not have enough time to get into it much until his week long vacation. His character would load in, a large and tall knight holding a gold and black engraved Halberd in his right arm , looking around from his spot before hearing a familiar squeaking coming from one of the alleyways. He turned to face the alleyway as his pet, an Norwegian Lemming began making its way to him while squeaking, doing its best not to be stepped on by other people. He smilies underneath his helmet as puts his left arm on the floor, the palm of his hand outward, the Norwegian Lemming began to run up his left arm, before resting itself on his left shoulder. He then quietly got back up to full height as his Lemming squeaked on top of his left shoulder, as he began to walk around town, deciding what to do inside his head as his Lemming squeaked loudly and aggressively at any passbyers while resting on his shoulder.

Giorno was one of the more experienced players, being higher up than most others, with the exception of a few players. He wanted to find a way to become stronger in the final day of the beta, as he had heard about a solo player that managed to enter floor 8. He started the walk to the teleport station.

Nothing suspicious so far. Maybe I need to look deeper. Aiden thought to himself as he took a stroll down the streets of the Town of Beginnings. He had already picked up his gear and was ready for battle. Now to check the battle mode. He thought as he approached the teleporter.

Toshiro picked up his gear and ran immediately to the teleporter as fast as possible.

"Floor 4, Rovia" Giorno said. It was the highest he got being the beta. It was impressive, but not enough for him. He needed to get stronger if he was to even consider trying to surpass that solo player. He loaded in the city of Rovia and walked to the field. Several monsters load nearby but they are easy pickings and only take a few strikes to take down. He pushes forward to the harder monsters, only to find a lower level player attempting to battle monsters higher than her level. Giorno wanted to walk past, but his hands said something else entirely. The monster were a bit harder, but still relatively easy pickings for the kid. At the end of the battle, the girl leveled up quite a bit while Giorno's remained almost untouched. Before he could walk away, the girl asked "Wait. Could I at least know your name?" He stopped for a few moments before turning around and responding with "Giorno. My name is Giorno." before walking off to grind some more. A few minutes later, he received a friend request from someone called "Ryuko."

Toshiro was darting by the Town of Beginnings, dodging most civilians and players in an attempt to find the battle field. That is until he nearly ran into an obviously more powerful player with what appears to be a Lemming on his shoulder, but Toshiro was clueless on what the animal could possibly be, as Seireitei didn't have such creature. In the end, Toshiro can only muster the words "Sorry" before slowly walking away, not wanting to provoke the man any further.
