As soon as school was over Duncan hurried to his house. He ran as fast as he could. As soon as he arrived to his house he quickly unlocked the door and entered his house. His mother and father were out of town so he had the whole house for himself.

He closed the door and headed upstairs into his room. The NerveGear was sitting there on his desk, ready to be played. He felt both nervous and excited at the same time. He put it on and then he lays on his bed. His heartbeat began to rise and without hesitating he said "Link started!".

Cereal crunched in John's mouth as he sat at his computer. munching it quickly so as to be able to start SOA as quick as possible. Leveling was his top priority since he hadn't done much of it while in beta. Throwing the bowl to his side, he pulled on the helmet and whispered.

"Link start"

Chiyuu had gotten home at a relatively good time, still having some to spare before starting up the new game SAO, which she Beta tested on.

When she got home she went through her normal routine of eating some delicious and adorable strawberries, then going into her bedroom which was decorated in mainly black colors, with white accents. This room contradicted her clothing and bright hair so much, it was almost hard to believe she even lived there. She took the NerveGear and put in the SAO disk, then tossing the helmet onto her bed. Chiyuu had made her name in the game; Yuchi, which is part of her first name, only backwards. She herself thought this out to be pretty darn clever.

Chiyuu sat on her bed and looked at her digital clock, it being time to start up the game officially. She slipped on the helmet and laid very comfortable on her black Victorian styled bed. She had almost a wicked smile on her face as she uttered two very powerful words.

"Link Start!"

After saying this she was transported through a world of wondrous colors...

Hoshiko dashed home from school, leaving a trail of dust behind her, not caring about anyone in here way. As soon as she got home she quickly walked up the stairs and grabbed her NerveGear. She finally had the chance to get into the world of SAO! She put it over her head and shouted, "Link Start!"

Avery cast a wary look at the NerveGear next to her. She knew she was a beta tester, and had already gone through this process a million times, but it kind of freaked her out. She shivered, slipping the helmet on, taking a breath, and saying the two key words the said day in and day out during the beta. "Link Start!"

Yokimoto thought about his encounters in the Beta. The unfairness, everyone treating as if he were weak, but he plotted to show them up. He knew they were the ones in trouble. "Link, Start!" Putting the NerveGear on, allowing himself to connect, he made his IGN his real life's. He also changed his Language to American, even though he lived in Japan.

In the town of beginning, he looked around, confident he would be the strongest of them all. He had a simple dagger, for he was only lvl. 1. This is my turn to show them. They will look up to me!

"Come on, Mercedes or you'll be late again. This time I'm not going to take the blame for you." Mercedes's step brother Austine called from outside his room. Mercedes wasn't listening though. He was too mesmerized by the beautiful helmet that they called NerveGear to care about going anywhere. Think about it, really: boring old work at some dumb grocery store or a magical world full of strangers and wanders and so much fun! Think of all the hot virtual babes he'd meet through this thing! Sorry reality, but you proved to be useless when it comes to my needs of the female sex and the crucial need for entertainment, Mercedes said as he ran over and locked his bedroom door before plopping back down on his bed, a huge devious grin plastered on his face. After a moment of strange contemplation, Mercedes put on the NerveGear and lied down onto his bed, taking a deep breath.

"Mercedes, did you hear me? Or do you want to get fired?"

Sorry Austine, I can't hear you! Mercedes thought before readying himself to officially enter this new world of wonders. Ladies here I come! "Link start!"

Nicholas sat at his desk staring at the NerveGear helm. He investigated it, interrogated it (Spoke to himself), and after the grand jury had come to agreement with his conscience he began to put it over his head. He began to lie down on his bed and looked at his roof with a smirk drawn on his visage. "Link start!" he said with his voice breaking down in excitement over what awaited him.

He had chosen everything admiring every second of the visual phenomenon, but this was before he was even in the town of beginnings. As he spawned his eyes widened in observation of the beauty. He began to look on the menus for the guide.

As soon as they said "Link start" the NerveGear turned on. It showed a bunch of colors for a couple of seconds before the NerveGear logged them into the game. The screen was white for seconds but then the environment around them began to change. They were in the center of Town of Beginning, surrounded by a lot of players.Various gates weren't allowing people to leave the center. A female voice began to speak. "We welcome you to the world of Sword Art Online. Each one of you is now level one, have 50 cols (The money used in this game.), the default weapon you chose and a basic set of armor. Today you will be the lucky players to experience the complete version of SAO. We know that you will be satisfied with the experience. Good luck." The female voice faded away. The new players could feel the wind blowing and the heat of the sun. It all felt real. Soon the gates began to open allowing players to explore Town of Beginnings and even its surroundings. Duncan was too shocked to pay any attention to this, he just stood there looking up at the sky. "Unbelievable..." He whispered. Most players now began to leave the center of the town and began to explore the rest of it.

Yokimoto stood their, unimpressed by their introduction. He shoved his way through, making it towards the exit. As he left, he noticed an unexpected amount of wolves and Boars in the grasslands, but he was ready to tear them apart, even with his dagger. Walking like he owns the place, he provoked one of the boars. He chuckled as the beast charged him. Quickly evadeding the attack, with the hilt of his dagger, he hit the back of the boars head. The menu popped up for him, telling him he earned 24 experience, and 30 col. "Sweet, this is a lot easier than the beta."

Avery shuddered, looking around. It had been a while since she last was at the Town of Beginnings, so this was nice, yet unfamiliar. "I'm never really going to get used to that…" she mumbled, referring to the NerveGear. She smiled, looking at all the new people who were lucky enough to get their hands on the first copies. She rolled her shoulders, looking at her weapon. It was a beginner's, not at all like the one she had in the beta. She sighed, momentarily missing all the things she had in the beta, but that was past now, so Avery forgot about it.

In the most basic heavy armor Nicholas could find and a spear in his inventory, he made his way to the gates. He came to the fields only to find few other players settling in, but there was one that was just out of place. His eyes follow Yokimoto as he was simply grinding through these creatures. Nicholas saw an advantage in this or at least he hoped he did, because he began to make his way to Yokimoto as quick as he could with his weapon waddling in his hand.

When he finally reached Yokimoto he came to sudden halt and straightened his body "You seem like you know what you are doin-" he cut himself off there and began to speak in a demanding voice"I'm a newbie could you please train me?!" . He was nervously awaiting a reaction for this could be a head-start for him, since this stranger was killing things in a 3:1 ratio next to all the other players.

Opening his eyes, John looked around him. The starting town. He left it swiftly, and passed quickly through the fields, making his way towards a more advanced area, instead of a early stage one. As he walked into it a while later, he saw a figure running towards him. Putting his hand on the hilt of his blade, John got ready for a fight. As it drew near, he eventually saw it was only a skeleton of sort. Sighing, he ran towards it swiftly, pulling out his blade and slicing it in half in one swift swipe. Grunting, he walked deeper into the area, trying to find stronger enemies.

Mercedes must have looked like a complete idiot when he first entered the game. Seeing that he was able to customize his character into this hunk of blonde dreamboat and seeing that that was now how he looked in the game, he was beyond ecstatic. He was screaming cries of joy, and flexing trying to show off his new virtual being as if he was the only one who was able to change their appearance.

"Oh hell yeah! This is great!" Mercedes beamed as he did a final (and oh-so-manly) twirl to get a last self check of his now dreamboat character. He was ready to play the game now! Before too long he would practically own his game. He'd own his own guild full of the strongest and most sexiest virtual babes that would worship his now handsome feet. Everybody would know his name: Mercurydog, Mercurydog! ....Yeah perhaps he could've come up with a better username.

Oh well! The girls would look past that. He was all that and a bag of chips now! And he was ready to show everybody that. And he ran off to go find his first female target that would surrender to his pheromones. ...or another words figure out expectations vs. reality.

As soon as Yuchi was materialized into the game, she went over to a dark alleyway where she could be alone for a moment. She opened up her inventory and scrolled through it, finding that most of her Beta things had transferred over from when she saved the Beta EXE files. Even her great sword was still there, and she sighed in relief. Yuchi couldn't use the items yet though since they required a certain level and skill. She was a little disappointed though considering she lost the special skill that popped up (Not duel wielding) Yuchi liked her adorable looks in real life, so she had the NerveGear translate them into the game.

There would be plenty of training time later, so Yuchi left the alleyway, only to bang into some huge muscle guy. She fell to the ground as her small 5'3 self couldn't hold it's own just quite yet with being level 1 still.

"Owww..." She said as she did slightly feel the impact of landing on the ground.

Yokimoto stopped. "Training? you think this game is some kind of joke?" But, this kid was serious. He opened his menu, and oferred this guy a duel. "What, are you afraid? This is your training. Take it or leave it." Pathetic imbecile. The man who asked him for help, now stopped in hesitation, had aggroed a wolf. "Goddamn you if I have to save you." Waiting to see what this guy does.

Duncan finally snapped out of his trance. He grabbed his two handed mace to weight it with his hands. He was surprised when he saw it was pretty light, he would have no problems using it.

He decided to head out of the town to gain some skill points. He bumped into a girl by mistake. "Sorry!" He said to the girl before he kept on running. He passed through the main gate and into the fields outside of Town of Beginning.

Nicholas twisted his body like a paranoid man as he saw the wolf approaching him. "The last thing I'll do is die in the first few minutes." he remembers what he learned from the guide book's first pages. He waits for the wolf to take a strike and as it jumps forward he spins to the left knocking down the wolf with the back of his spear. He begins to charge a skill as he pulls back his spear past his hip and releases it puncturing the wolf multiple times. The wolf falls into a digital mess as his experience boosts up.

He didn't know how he did it yet and turns to Yokimoto "Why should I think this is a joke? I came here to embrace this not fool around. You were the quickest solution as I could see." he said before turning away and continues with "No, I do not want to duel and honestly you could kill me just like that out here the Guide says we are not in a safe zone." he pauses after that. "I'm sure you knew that already, but I think I'd rather join a party with you, hell consider me a leech." he exclaimed waiting for his approval.

He really expected Yokimoto to help him? Maybe he can help me in return... He sheathed his dagger, and walked towards the next village. Whether Nicholas followed him or not, didn't matter. He was already lvl. 5, after slaying a few wolves and boars. "Are you going to follow? If not, your death may be a lot closer than you would expect." Yokimoto now waited for his response, feeling how real the breeze felt in his hair, and how amazing the near sunset was.

John somersaulted around, dodging attack after attack. Cringing, he decided he couldn't deal with this advanced zone yet. He turned and dashed off at full speed back to the fields, where he took a second to rest under a tree and regenerate health. Looking up, he saw a small group of wolves approaching him. He placed his hand on his sword's hilt, and drew the blade slowly.

Mercedes spun around and looked down to see a small, adorable girl fall to the ground after bumping into his now virtually strong back.

"Owww..." she made a tiny moan of pain from the impact and oh...was it just SO CUTE!!! This was fate! Yes it was! The fate of the new virtual reality proving how much better it was than the fate of (*shivers*) reality. Ok Mercedes, it's time to put your bishie face on! ...Well, at least, he was sure he could pull on some kind of bishounen face. Sure, that was only an anime thing but this was the beautiful virtual world now that'll allow all his virgin dreams to come true! So, he's sure that this will work as well.

"Oh are you ok!?" He bent down and offered a strong handsome hand to the adorable girl. He was sure he was sparkling some pheromones down on her. "I'm sorry if my strong physique did any harm to your small cute one." ...Yeah, that came out well right? ...Maybe...

"I will come with you, but I'm sure there is a party system." he said not hesitating. "I mean, if I'm going to leech off of you, then we should do it right!" he pulled out his menu before looking at Yokimoto and saying "You're probably the higher level I think it'd be best, if you handle the party.". He felt like he was close to a great start. "If we go anywhere, where would we be headed? Not that I question your ability of leading!" he began to look around with his eyes following the road away from the town.

Hoshiko looked around at the bright world of SAO. She was so excited, she could barely contain herself, "Yahoo, I'm in SAO~!" she shouted. She decided the best thing to do first would be to kill some monsters because she'd need a lot of experience. Hoshiko exited the town and into the fields where there were many monsters. She had a pair of sickles to fight with so she swiftly dodged the monsters' attacks while countering and attacking them, racking up a lot of experience. Hoshiko smiled at her quick work.

This guy is getting way to annoying. "If you can shut up for a second, I will allow you to. Got it?" He looked in his inventory, and noticed he had 230 col. he was starting to get hungry, so he invited the guy to the party. He never expected someone to look up to him, but he wanted to be the best, and run solo.

When they got into town, he tried opening up a few shops, but they were all closed. "What the hell is going on here? I mean seriously, this isn't Beta. Everything is in working order!" He was agitated, and felt like punching something. The something he punched was his party member, knocking him down.

10 kills in three seconds. John beat his old record with those wolves. Wiping off his blade, he sheathed it once more. Damn NPC's... easier than Frostbite spiders in Elder Scrolls. Maybe if he could find some allies, they could survive in the advanced zones. Turning around, he began walking back to the town of beginnings. Few people remained in it, and most of them looking like they had no idea what they were doing. In the corner of his eye, he saw two people running in and out of shops, when one of them exclaimed loudly about them being closed. Approaching, he called out quietly.

"Maybe it's because the vendors haven't been completed yet?"
