Bio: Mei grew up in a relatively poor family, and their poverty led to many issues. Of course, Kei wasn't the type to let it get her down. One of her hobbies growing up was playing video games, even if she could only afford cheap retro games. It wasn't until she was 15 that she could afford a computer capable of playing more recent games. At this point, she befriended a girl who introduced Mei to her small game group, and Mei spent the next few years playing various online games with them. One Sword Art Online was announced, they were all excited. Of course, Mei had no way to afford the Nervegear, having just recently gotten a good gaming system. She had to save her money for other things, so she would be unable to join the rest of her group in playing SAO. However, as a surprise, all of her friends pooled money together for her to get a Nervegear and a copy of Sword Art Online, and they told her that they'd meet her once they were able to get the game for themselves. Of course, once Mei put the game in and began playing, she discovered that she was now stuck in the game world. Her friends wouldn't be joining her, and she may not even see them again depending on how she did. She vowed to fight hard so that they could all see each other again.

  Sin is a rather odd one to decipher, showing many psychotic tendencies he often enjoys creeping other's out around him and isn't afraid of trying to kill another player despite the consequences that can come from it. Despite these killing tendencies however Sin still works on surviving the game and tries using logic and strategy to get himself allies and in a comfortable position wherever he might be. Being rather prideful of himself, if he feels that his pride is being insulted Sin can quickly become hot-headed. Despite all of this Sin seems like a generally laid back person with a mysterious appearance and is hardly ever seen as anything besides happy and joyful, in fact he can become rather childish at times and has a quirk to speak in third person at times. He's a fan of jokes and pranks and loves those with a sarcastic attitude, This works the opposite for completely serious and stoic individuals that try interact with him as Sin seems to have little time to deal with someone who is going to bring him down and is rather picky about who he chooses as an ally or foe.
  
  All in all, Sin doesn't mind the fact he's stuck inside a game he can potentially die in and in fact tries taking this to his advantage. Making the best life he can get from where he is now, Sin often forget's what it was like in the real world and prefers to never talk about it. Sin can be a very secretive person which is first shown by the fact he constantly wears a mask with odd phrases. The most obvious shown phrase being what makes the smile of the mask "You are free".   Tristan is just like every other kid in any other school, with loving parents and almost anything he needed to be happy. However Tristan wasn't like the other kids, no he was much different and although he seems completely normal his constant thoughts and plannings had said otherwise. Ever since he was young Tristan would get himself into trouble, not much at school but out of school in his free time he would commit petty crimes such as shop lifting, vandalism and others. This all ended when he beat someone to death and was sentenced to seven years house arrest at the age of sixteen. Tristan claims that the long sentenced was because the kid belonged to a rich family but that has only be heard or said about the matter.
  
  One day when he was lazing away in his bed, bored out of his mind watching TV he saw an ad, "S..A..O?" it seemed interesting enough, he had a job and saved up a lot of money since he was never really interested in buying anything but food (He didn't eat that often). He already bought the gear a year back, however he was only able to have an hours time on the beta. His parents going out and buying the game for him that is when he went into the world of SAO. Before they knew they were called to a get together, which was expected for the first day of the game coming out. What Tristan didn't realize that the whole time it was some 'game of death' using people as lab rats. this idea shocked and agitated Tristan to the point he almost didn't think it was real. Tristan unlike many, quickly came to his bearings about the situation and left immediately and mostly stuck to his self. Although now spending some time in SAO 'Sinister Clown' needs allies, and he plans to do just that and make his way through the ranks. Turning this 'bad' thing into a little game of his own, he never liked the unrealism of games and now he was given exactly what he wanted.

Coming along good so far, I'm thankful every character has found a way to be unique whereas, if I'm honest, the original characters followed rather basic templates.

I do like how Cardinal has a sort of 'suspicion meter', where she can only go against game rules a limit amount in a certain time before the admin realises she's self-aware. In that case, it's not so much as support as just being abnormally helpful from time to time.

I resented ALO's ex machina healing system in the second arc, and wanted some thought behind how a character was going to be saved from a situation rather than just uttering a few words and having them restore health. Even if Cardinal somehow did nothing but lob health potions to people, I'd still prefer it several times more than I'd prefer the magic healing system.

No magic, not even much in the way of ranged weaponry, everyone has to actually get up close and dangerous with the enemy. I mean they didn't even have bows if I recall correctly. ALO, on the other hand, was a more traditional fantasy MMO.

Aye, that's why I'm giving a little more freedom with what characters are able to do in this version of 'Sword' Art Online, since the original was somewhat rigid in character design. Thankfully, every sign up I've got so far has been accepted with out issue, and I was legitimately surprised at the talent and effort that went into the characters for, in my opinion, one of the more mundane arcs of SAO.

Personality: A bit hotheaded. Is strategic in combat. Can be angered quite easily.


Bio: When everyone else panicked as they were trapped, Michi was calm and collective. She didn't have anyone to go back to in the real world. She was an orphan that never got a family. She came down with a incurrable sickness and was taken to the hospital. In order for her to survive she was put into permanent VR stasis. (Yes I am delving into SAO2) She had recieved SAO from the doctors because she was so excited about it. Now she can not communicate with anyone from the hospital. But, she was never the one to give up hope.

Appearance: blood red hair, longer than most males, it is very much in "blocks" or sections. Long pointy strands that cover his face as well. His roots are black as night. He wears what could only be described as a mixture between a traditional Japanese robe and a set of Samurai armor, all colored in a dark crimson and black.


Weapon of choice: long Katana: a very long, rasor sharp Katana with a brass guard in the shape of a chrysanthemum. The handle wrapping is white with a Cherrywood handle.


Special skill [optional]: Silent Killer: When kills something (directly) he becomes "cloaked", and undetectable by enemies or players, but cannot damage or do anything to anything in this state and can only move away. Lasts for twenty minutes when active. Can be chosen to be used or left alone. Passively ignores checking for bluffing


Personality: A rather crewl, sadistic man who desires just to survive, even at the cost of other people's lives. Cold, obstinate, and unfriendly. However, he is an excellent actor, his outward appearance makes him always appear to be sincere and like a normal person.


Bio: His life before mattered not. Now is all that mattered to him. Him and his blade, and survival.
