Sweet Nothings

William inhaled sharply when he heard him say it back. Could this work? Could they actually get away with this, even with their parents not knowing? There was nothing wrong with this.. was there? William swam his body forward a little a took Bennie's face in his hands, grazing his thumb over his bottom lip. He didn't know what to say but.. he wanted him. More than anything, and this was the moment he could actually find out if he was his all along. "I.." He stammered, jaw tightening when the words almost slipped out. "I.. I love you."

Bennie:

Will's touch made Bennie shiver, not in a bad way, but because it was something he had wanted from the moment he had met Will. His own hands rested on Will's sides, keeping his close. "Will I... I love you to. Please though-" Making eye contact with Will, Bennie chewed his lip, terrified, "Please don't tell anyone... They'll send me away and I don't-" he took a deep breath, how did he tell this boy that he didn't know if he could deal with being apart from him? How could he say that he only wanted him without scaring him away? "I just- I need you..." In his whole life, he had never felt so vulnerable with another person before. It was honestly petrifying, but he understood why people did it now, why they let themselves be weak around each other.

When Bennie brought his eyes up, William couldn't bring his eyes away. It was final, they were meant for each other. "Little brother.. I won't tell anyone." He reassured in a soft voice, listening to how flustered the boy was getting. It was understandable. This was a big risk both of them were taking, especially when it came to their parents and the society around them. But, William was willing to risk it. "It's our secret, no one has to know." And with that, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to his wet forehead gently. "I'm not going anywhere, I'll be here forever.. okay?" He smiled lightly. He couldn't promise that.. but if he was still alive and well, he would be by his brother's side no matter what.

Bennie:

Relief washed over him as his brother assured him of the safety of their secret. He closed his eyes as Will planted a kiss on his forehead. Shaking his head in agreement, Bennie pulled Will into a tight hug, his face buried between Will's shoulder and neck. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to say that." It was about midday now, and the sun was directly above them, center of the sky. It made the water clearer and each of their eyes seem brighter. Despite how happy he was that they both knew now, Bennie still worried about the future, about how they would hide this from everyone. But, if he had to trust one person it would be Will.

William held his younger brother close as he clutched onto him in the water "The first time I set eyes on you.. I knew." He whispered, grazing his fingers across Bennie's exposed back. "I didn't know what to do for the longest time, and I bottled it up inside. I'm crazy about you, little brother, I've always been." William cooed, leaning forward to pepper a few kisses on his warm shoulder. "We can do this together.." He breathed against his skin.

Bennie:

Nodding, Bennie looked at Will, "We can do this, right? I mean... If we get caught..." He shook his head at the thought of getting caught and what would happen. "It's just you and me... You're all I need to get by, but I need you... I can't think about what I would be like without you..." He pulled his brother tighter, trying to push any bad thought away. Will's touch was everything he imagined it would be and more. He blushed slightly but tried to hide it.

(( Sorry, I have to go to work now... I won't be on a whole lot during the weekdays, but I will try to get on every day for a little bit. ))

{ That's okay, don't rush yourself. I won't be on that much either because I have class, but I'll manage to slip on every now and then. }

{ Nalakitty01 Yeah, I went to bed a bit early last night so I couldn't get to it. It'll be done today c: }

William held his brother close and swam back to lean against the dock, playing with the hairs on the nape of his neck. It was eerily quiet, only a few summer birds chirping along in the wind as the brothers gently floated within the shallow lake. “If anything happens,” The older one started, his voice firm, but yet soothing. “We’ll go somewhere.. I have a car. If they find out about us and don’t like it, we’ll run.” It was a bit extreme to think like that but.. it was the only thing. Where would they go? “Anywhere you want little brother.. I’ll take you there, okay?”

Bennie:

Hugging his tightly, Bennie smiled and giggled a little bit. He pulled back to look at the older boy, "Hey...Wanna race to the island over there?" The island was a little ways away from the dock, about a mile away from where they were. It was a small island, half filled with woods and the other half beach. He had a hint of enthusiasm in his eye as he antagonized his older brother to race him.

(( sorry for the short post... ))

William kept his weight up in the water very easily, tilting his head slightly to peer over his younger brother at the island. It wasn't very far at all, and it wouldn't take him long to get over to it. "Well, I'm sure we already know who the winner is." He grinned widely, floating over to line up directly with him. "Alright, three.. two.." William paused for a moment, glancing at Bennie. "One!" And with that, he started after it, not looking back a single bit.

Bennie:

Waiting on his brother to finish counting down, Bennie just focused on his breathing, getting ready to go. As they started, Bennie sprang into the motion of everything. He always went lower under the water than you were supposed to, but he could hold his breath for a very long time, so he didn't need to come up for air, and therefore, he could swim that deep under the water without any problem. He made it to the island only taking one breath once they left. He popped out of the water, his eyes still closed and his fluff of hair covering most of his face anyways. "Will?"

William instantly heaved to fill his lungs with air and dove down, swimming right underneath the thin surface, something he had learned while being on the swim team for a short while in high school. He would poke his head up every now and then for a gasp air, but moved in a way you could say, a mermaid did. Free and lucid, near the end, he went even deeper, disappearing into the water for a short time while his brother came up. Not knowing whether he won or not, he heard his brother's call above the surface and popped up behind him, wrapping his arms around him. "Gotcha!"

Bennie:

Gasping loudly as his brother surprised him, Bennie then let a smile creep on his face as he realized it was just Will. He turned to pull the boy into a hug, still breathing heavily from the race, "I don't know who won... but I don't really care." Taking his brother's hand, Bennie walked up onto the secluded island and sat down when he got to the dry sand.

William smiled when surprising his brother, everything about him was absolutely adorable. "Neither do I." He nodded, clutching onto his brother's hand very gently while walking up on the brilliant shore. "If anything, I would say you won just by the fact you're my little brother." He grinned, running a slick hand through his wet, mass of hair. The island they approached was very beautiful. Small, but yet secluded and very quiet. Something he would love to stay at forever if he could. There were no other people, just him and his little brother under the summer sun.

Bennie:

As the two of them walked onto the beach, Bennie took William's hand as he shook a little from the coldness of being out of the water. He found a nice spot on the sand to sit; white sand overlooking the clear water. He sat down in the sandy spot, smiling up at William.

William shook the water from his hair briefly before taking his brother's hand tightly, following after him with a casual speed. It was such a wonderful view before them, and right then and there he just wanted to kiss his brother. To hold him, to claim him as his own for no one else to have. He was right there in front of him but yet, he felt so far away. Once Bennie took a seat, William glanced around before sitting next to him, taking him into his wide arms.

Bennie:

Feeling relaxed in William's arms, Bennie gently kissed Will's cheek, smiling. He bit his lip and watched Will quietly, observing every move he made. ((PM? ))
