Jordan went into the cafeteria, got her tray, then spotted Miu waving her and Rob over to her table, and quickly made her way there. She sat down at the table and smiled at Miuna.

Charlotte threw the article in her locker and closed it. She made sure to hide the article at the far end just in case someone tried to break in again. If a student saw the article there could be a war between students, something Charlotte wanted to avoid. She stayed up all night with Richard and was dead tired, she headed to her room to get a few hours of sleep, she didn't care about the punishment the principal could give her for skipping a whole day of class.


" What is the worse he could do? Put me in a musical?"

Rob stayed with Jordan and got his tray with her, then they both sat by Miu. "How did you get Turkey?" he looked down at his questionable sloppy joe. "This is sucks." He frowned, but then ate the joe, "Actually this is pretty damn delicious." He continue to stuff his face

"No noise baby Nico. We're going. I don't want to hear anymore of other people's mumbling" Ryan said standing up as Nico climbed onto the teen's back. Ryan slung the messenger back over his shoulder and grabbed a sandwich. He bit out of it when he saw Bella approach them, "Aww Nico how are you doing?" "DAH!" Nico put a thumb up then continued drinking. "That's right you better be doing good...or else Ryan will get sliced up later" Bella eyed Ryan. "He's a baby! Why would you say that in front of him?" Ryan's eyes widened while Nico smiled at what his sister said. "He likes it when people's emotions switch around especially unexpectedly..I have no idea why though. I also have no idea why he's fine with you. You don't even have any emotional powers or something. I would understand why he would wave and smile at Mr. G, but you? Do your emotions change a lot Ryan?" Bella asked. "Maybe, anyway.." Ryan said changing the subject. "Did you come to pick him up?" Ryan's eyes lit up at the idea of getting the baby away from him. It wasn't that he hated the baby, it was simply the fact that the baby was spreading fake news around. Bella shook her head, "I'm eating lunch just like you are. The principal said to go back to his office after I ate". "What's taking the process so long? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take this long just to assimilate Nico into the system" Ryan said. "It has to do with his powers...well, I'll talk to you later bye Ryan" Bella said hurrying off to her...crowd. Ryan looked at Nico, "My emotions huh? The constant change of my emotions?" Ryan thought about a scenario. Actually, he thought about ALL the scenarios. Maybe Nico's power had something to do with feelings. Ryan took another bite out of his sandwich, "I guess your sister is right".

Alec walked into the cafeteria, settling into his usual corner after getting a lunch. He didn't see Dexter, so he was perfectly content to stay in his spot alone. He glanced curiously at a group of students nearby, but was only able to catch a few phrases of their conversation. What he heard was enough to alarm him, so Alec casually moved to the other side of his table.


"One professor is already gone. The ungifted is still here."


"We should just take the fight to them. We can fight, probably better than most of the teachers."


At that, Alec stood up and strode over to the table. "Yeah, you could do that. If you want to get yourself killed and a price put on every gifted human's head," he growled.

"Doo!" Nico thumped the bottle against Ryan's head. "Ah! You're done? Okay, next time don't do that. That's bad" Ryan explained as Nico's eyes began to water. "...Hey be happy okay? Just don't hit people because you're done with your milk" The teen took the bottle and put it in the messenger bag. "Do you want to be a hero?" Ryan raised an eyebrow up at Nico. "Dah" Nico responded. "Then, only fight or hurt someone when he or she is doing evil. Heroes fight for justice, not for someone to put their bottle away" Ryan explained. "Da...DAH!" Nico pumped his fists in the air. Ryan scanned the lunch area and found Bella just talking with her friends. Wait, why couldn't she bring her brother over to her group?

Jordan laughed softly from Rob's reaction about the food then turned to Miuna. "So... Do you still want to know about the 'thing' Rob hid?" She looked around nervously, hoping nobody would try to listen in on the conversation.

Ryan decided to use his enhanced hearing and tune into what Bella was talking about. Bella was saying, "Yeah I know right! Well, main point is, the situation is being handled. Seth is inventing a machine that should assist Ni-". Ryan's hearing was getting out of hand when people started laughing around her area. He began to hear a variety of conversations going on. One that particularly stuck out to him was, "If you want to get yourself killed and a price put on every gifted human's head *growl*". Ryan looked around and found Alec conversing with some students. Nico just kept looking around the area without saying a word. "Hey stay on my back Nico" Ryan said making his way over to Alec. Nico nodded then kept his eyes focused on the direction Ryan was walking toward. "Hey Alec what's going on here?" Ryan asked.

"These idiots think they can take the fight to the ungifted," Alec said, glaring at the group of teenagers. They all appeared to be either juniors or seniors. "Listen, we'll never beat all the armies of the world and their weapons, not like this. And why try? Do you have any idea how many people would die if you just started a war like that? Gifted kids would be the first to go. You want that? You want the little ones to get caught in the crossfire?"

Nico's eyes lighted up with pleasure as he saw Alec's intense emotion. Ryan looked at the students whose eyes shifted to the baby when Alec brought up the thought of "little ones". "Isn't this topic not allowed on campus? Do you WANT Mr. Lipnicki to teleport here and slap a detention slip onto your heads? Be my guest I have him on speed yell" Ryan said straying away from a possible fight that might occur at the moment, and the idea of a war that might start.

"So just shut up about it. If there is a war, the adults will handle it. You clearly can't," Alec spat before walking back to his corner. He sat down again, his eyes hard. "Idiots. They don't know how hard the council works to keep the peace."

Ryan walked over to Alec, "You're a good guy for trying to shut all the amateurs up". He smiled, "Now if you excuse me, I have to carry on with my babysitting gig". Nico rubbed Ryan's head then looked at Alec, "Dah...". "Hm?" Ryan gave Nico a confused look. Nico clapped his hands together as a sign of "good work" for Alec, not only for his action, but also for his intense emotion. 
Ryan brought Nico over to the side of the lunch area. There Ryan was able to finish his sandwich with his right hand while Nico played with Ryan's left hand. "What if I bring you over to a few friends huh? Just for a quick hi then we can go to my locker and fly on the hover board" Ryan suggested to Nico who nodded as a reply. The teen could sense the baby's boredom, or was it his own? The two of them made their way to Rob, Jordan, and Miu. "Hi" Ryan waved while Nico hid behind his back. Suddenly, Nico popped his head up behind Ryan's shoulder, "Hida...".

Ryan approached before Miu could reply and Jordan smiled at Ryan, "Hey there!" Her eyes glanced down to the baby peeking over Ryan's shoulder. She felt a grin come across her face and she stood up, "Whose this cutie?" She asked him. Although she wanted to tell Miuna what was going on, she did welcome the distraction. She was afraid to bring it up here anyway.

Nico's eyes glowed, "Dah". Ryan looked over his shoulder at the baby, "Nico...". The baby outstretched his arms toward Jordan. Ryan looked at Jordan, "He has a thing for people with intense emotions, wavering emotions,..and I guess emotional powers". Nico started to get impatient and grabbed Ryan's cheek, "Daaaah...DAH!" The baby outstretched his other arm to Jordan, "Ba!"

Jordan laughed, and tucked a hair behind her ear, then gently grabbed Nico's hand, "Hey there sweetie. My name's Jordan." She smiled at Nico happily then looked back at Ryan. "He's the cutest." She thought for a moment, "Just out of curiosity, what's he doing out here with all us older kids? Are you guys related?" She frowned, "I mean like.. Brothers?" She laughed nervously.

Rob smiled at Ryan, and the stiffened at the sight of the baby. He tried to move away and make his movements hardly noticed, but it was hard for the linebacker. He wasn't scared, but nervous. He has never been good with small children, and small children with uncontrolled powers just made him uncomfortable.


" uhh cute." Rob frowned at the baby.

Nico giggled, "Doda". Ryan shook his head as he brought Nico to the front of him, "No, we're not brothers". He lifted Nico to his face height, "Why do we look alike?" Ryan smiled and Nico did the same. "Dah! Mm" Nico began outstretching his arms to Jordan again. Ryan looked at the baby then at Jordan, "You don't mind carrying him for a bit do you?" Nico looked at Rob and saw the big guy frowning. "Mmm" The baby looked away from the negative facial expression then back to the emotion queen.

Dexter attempted to ignore the issues with him by paying more attention to the love triangle going on between the two girls and Rob. In the back of his head, he was kind of uncomfortable with being in the middle of 'girl talk', especially with Ryan at the back of his mind. His thoughts then shifted over to Ryder, who he had just met just a day ago. He mulled over everything that happened with him up to this point. ".. He doesn't seem THAT bad. I mean, he does have all of the qualities of being a decent human being... so I guess that's a start." He pondered over the possibility of perusing that relationship but pushed the thoughts aside.


He watched as Miuna was called up to the arena to fight. Knowing her so far, he figured she had some tricks up her sleeve, but what he wasn't expecting was the absolute as*-whooping unfolding before him. He winced, even turned away at some point at the onslaught, until the unexpected happened. His face opened in surprise as the brolic fighter from before had been reduced to a chicken with his head cut off. He sighed in relief at knowing that his prediction from earlier about the petit girl was correct. She seemed in rather good spirits so the beating from before magically slipped his mind.


Once class ended, he rushed out the door praising Alah and all the gods from above for blessing him from participating in any barbaric acts for today. He went to stop at the bathroom to clean himself

Jordan felt someone from behind her get uncomfortable and she glanced back. She noticed Rob's expression and guessed it was him. She bit her lip for a moment then turned back, with a smile on her face, "Of course I don't mind holding him!" Jordan gently took Nico out of Ryan's arms and adored the little boy, bouncing him slightly in her arms.

Rob shifted away and almost ended up in Miu's lap. "What's its power?" He looked at Ryan with an almost pleading look, " or are you just assuming emotions like Jordan? I have nothing against kids... But nothing is more dangerous than a gifted baby with powers and no way to control them." He scratched his head and looked back at Jordan and the baby.

"Gi" Nico said happily hugging Jordan. "I have no idea why he has an interest for...emotion people. I mean, it's not a bad thing, but I don't really know why he does" Ryan said then shifted his gaze to Rob. "I'm guessing emotions? I'm not sure though" Ryan replied while Nico was admiring Jordan.

Off of the paint from earlier. He went to lunch and got his food when he saw the group of friends that he has familiared himself with. He saw a baby on Ryan's shoulder and nearly passed on the thoughts that ran through his brain. It didn't help that it kind of looked like him. His face was frozen in a face of horror, trying rationalize his train of thought.

Jordan laughed softly from Ryan's explanation, then hugged Nico back. She watched the little boy with curiosity, also wondering why he had a knack for people with a bunch of emotion. She tickled the boy, then glanced up and saw Dex's horrified expression, and felt it wash over her. "Uh, Dex you okay...?" She choked out softly.

Nico laughed then looked up at Jordan. No one steals the spotlight from the emotion queen! Ryan looked over at Dex, "Oh hello Dexter". Nico followed Ryan's gaze. Suddenly, behold! Nico's eyes widened in amazement, "Gah...". Nico was awesome in Jordan's arms in fact, he could even stay there the rest of his life! To Nico, Jordan was still the emotion queen. The baby concluded that Dex had the same type of emotional aura around him. To Nico, Dex was the emotion queen too! Yes, Nico could sense Dex's true feelings. The baby clapped in pleasure to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

Miuna tilted her head to the side out of curiosity as she watched the baby. She had never interacted much with infants, though she didn't think she'd be a horrible caretaker. She had held a baby once last year, but wasn't trusted again after she dropped him at the sight of a dessert stand. It wasn't one of her brightest moments. "It's too crowded," she murmured, referring to the incredible number of spirits she was unable to tune out. Her left eye was likely to stay this way for a long time, which posed a serious problem. The ability to see the dead took a hell of a toll on one's mental health. Tuning them out every now and then was the only way for Miu to keep her grip on reality. With that ability slipping out of her grasp, she was in some real trouble. "There's so many." She slipped the patch over her eye, blocking out the spirits as much as she could.
