Malcolm gave pause as he heard his name called by Chase, he frowned slight as he turned to hear the other wolf. He tilted his head askew as Chase used the work prophet knowing the pack did not have one. He nodded, understanding what Emile needed and what Chase's message had meant. "Yes, well then." he stepped away from the god and the kitsune. "I believe you two were about to travel away, were you not? We won't be removing the wards until we are done with Vitae: I would suggest leaving now. The demon won't be a problem for the pack."

He have the two men a quick nod good by before waving Chase to follow him as he made his way back towards the camp. The pack seemed unperturbed by the Alpha lack of presence, continuing on enjoying themselves; as always they had scouts in the woods watching and listening for any disturbances.

Mackenzie smile as William broke the silence they were holding and she hadn't noticed. She nodded slowly, peering up at him. "I did, for the most part. I ate too much food for sure. And I like hearing about my mom." It hurt to remember her, or at least what she had become. Mac never regretted ending the monster her mother had become but she did hate she couldn't have stopped it or her brothers from being taken. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze, thoughts troubled. If something were to happen to her, if the pack got her or the like, she didn't want Will or Ash to have to deal with her. "What did you think?" She as they approached the house.

Ashley-May smiled slightly at Eli comment. At the clinic doors she stepped around him to pull the door open. "Yes, sir." She said before getting behind the chair once more. Once inside the clinic she wheeled him back to his room, moving his chair along side hers. " I hope you like what I got. I grabbed a little bit of everything." She said as she took her seat next to him. "The Lunch Maids are really great cooks, might be even better than Mac. But don't tell her that."

Hypnos smiled and shrugged at him, " I don't mind staying here for a little bit. This isn't but a small piece of my consciousness anyway. Though is your Alpha sure he wants to keep a god of sleep in his pack while dealing with such a sensitive issue? Monster or not if you stay near me long enough you'll be put to sleep." Hypnos warned Chase. It's not like he couldn't multitask from within the Pack and inside the Colony. Though the news of the demon in the woods wasn't new to him he figured something good would come from leaving it be. " I've known there was a demon within the woods for a while now, but I just left it be. With my wards in place it couldn't enter the Colony even if it had possessed a human. As for if any human wants to make a deal with it wasn't my concern. Though I figured it would eventually end up finding and creating trouble for the Pack." Hypnos said with a mischievous smile. " And look what I found as a result." He chuckled and made an all encompassing gesture.

Ginny lays in bed, having already disposed of the now empty blood bags. She feels better than she's felt in years of only taking what she needed to survive. She can feel her full strength return to her, her senses become sharper, her regeneration finally taking care of problems that have existed for a while. All while still in her human disguise. It feels absolutely wonderful.

She curls up in her bed, smiling blissfully, and starts to drift off to sleep. Blood doesn't help with tiredness, and besides, she hopes to see the god again.

William smiled at Mac's response, glad that she had been able to talk to others about her mother without it being too painful an experience. He knew positive reminiscing about the woman was likely few and far between considering what she had become. When she asked him what he thought about the party, he simply turned to her. "I'm happy that you were happy," he said with a teasing grin before adding, "It was... nice, to have a few moments from the doom and gloom."

As they ascended the porch, he stepped up to open the door to the foyer before entering. Once Mac was inside and the door shut behind her, he said, "I'm less thrilled about the Council holding out on us," he said dryly.

Elijah raised his eyebrows at Ash's appraisal of the cooks. "Your secret is safe with me. Besides, I wouldn't want Mac shooting the messenger," he said. Looking over the assorted food she had gathered on the tray, he reassured her, "This looks great, Ash. Thank you, really."

Reaching for his sandwich, he glanced over at her before asking, "How are you feeling? Physically, I mean? Besides the food cravings of course," he said with a smirk.

"So screw everybody else including the person they are holding hostage?" Chase had to bite his tongue before he went further, pissing off Hypnos would only put his position here in danger so he took the moment to follow after Malcolm. "You should leave instead." He told the god simply, holding back. Still a dick, why am I not surprised. He suspected that godly outlook would never change and never agree with his own thinking. Hypnos knew of the demon but didn't warn Vitae or it's hunters, so they could deal with it instead of letting it do whatever it wanted.

"I had to convince our fearless leader not to run off after the demon himself." Chase noted once he'd caught up to Malcolm. "Though I get the feeling he just told me what I wanted to hear." He imagined Emile's wolf form sweeping through the woods on the trail after the perpetrator. "I thought all of the prophets were back at home base." He spoke referring to Borseti, knowing both Hypnos and the Kitsune were potentially in earshot he felt the need to cover for the location.

Eddie held his breath and closed his eyes as he was teleported away from the underworld. he wondered where exactly Thor had in mind to leave him. Certainly not the flower shop, but perhaps back at the road he was traveling when he was picked up by them. When he looked up, he was surprised to see himself in a place he didn't recognize, Vitae colony. Of course, this in unbeknownst to him. he looked around for a moment, trying to see if anyone saw him appear out of thin air, and whether they would question it. @AnyoneWalkingAroundVitae

Malcolm raised an eyebrow as Chase delivered his somewhat venomous words to the god. As much as Malcolm didn't like the god; personal reasons for sure, he was surprised to hear Chase round off his, what is now becoming, typical sass. He waited a few feet away until Chase was done and joined him. He smiled and nodded. "Another Emile French failure. He doesn't know the word in English. Shaman would be more correct, Druid even, if you want to go that far. Essentially a priest of the Pack's god, he's connected to him but not like an Oracle would be. Like the Alpha that position is passed down from generation to generation." Malcolm lead Chase further into the camp site, towards one of the few trailers that had been set up for use. Out side were various wards made of sticks and long grass dolls adorning the trailer and surrounding area.

Before Malcolm or Chase could get close enough to the trailer itself the door swung open and an old decrepit looking man shuffled out. "Yeah Yeah." He grumbled, voice hoarse. "I know, wards are broken. I'm coming." He stepped down from the trailer, leather bag slung over his shoulder. "Lawernce, I'd like you to meet-"

"Don't care." The old man muttered as he passed the two that had come to call. Malcolm didn't move, letting him travel further away before looking to Chase and shaking his head. "Don't be offended by the old man. He drew the shortest straw and had to travel south with us."

Mackenzie nodded once they were both inside the house, she certainly agreed with Will on his statement. "Not sure what to think about that really." She said as she wandered further into the house; it was oddly quiet not having Ash or Eli around to cause chaos and the place was so massive she felt like she needed to speak quietly to avoid an echo. Knowing what she did now, both the good and the bad about her families history, made her feel off. She wasn't sure if she should be happy to have found someone that could share pleasant memories of her mother with her, or sad that she didn't remember many of her own.

She shook her head slowly, trying to focus on the task at hand. "Do you think they've known long? I mean, obviously since Malcolm told them, but would you have listened to him in the same circumstances? You know he essentially killed or turned an entire colony of people, then comes to you and asks you to do the same. I don't think I would believe him; nor would I help him do it over again." She shrugged slightly, she still didn't believe it, didn't want to, but it made sense. How else had the pack so easily taken the people there?

Ashley-May smiled slightly hearing Elijah state that the food looked good enough, she was thankful for that; she wasn't certain if she had regained enough emotional sensibility to keep from crying if he said anything but that. She raised an eyebrow as he question how she was feeling, not entire certain if this were a trick question or not, to see if she would cry again; it annoyed her slightly. "Do you mean from lifting your heroic butt off the ground earlier? Or am I going to have another melt down and cry.... again tonight?" She huffed slightly and frowned shaking her head.

"Sorry. I can't keep it together, I feel like I'm fourteen again. I want to cry, all the time, for no reason. Then little things make me angry. Somethings make me laugh uncontrollably. I don't know if I should be around people for the next nine months."

Will mulled over Mackenzie's question, but there could only ever be one answer. "No," he answered truthfully. "I probably would have dismissed him same as them after what he supposedly did... at the very least," he said with a shrug. He didn't know how all of the Councillors had the restraint not to put a silver bullet in Malcolm's heart all those years ago, but he wasn't sure he would have been as scrupulous in their shoes. He paused before looking but up at Mac. "It makes me wonder -- assuming everything they said about Malcolm is true -- who told him about the First Sin? How did he end up establishing his connection with the Pack while he was at Borseti?" The questions were effectively rhetorical -- little more than something for the two of them to consider. He was sure Mackenzie didn't know any more about Malcolm's associates at that time than he did.

Elijah could tell by Ashley's initial response that he had touched a nerve, eyes glancing down toward the floor. Thankfully, Ashley-May apologized moments later and told him about the emotional roller coaster she was experiencing. As he prepared to reassure her that she had nothing to be ashamed of, Ash added, "I don't know if I should be around people for the next nine months."

Eli paused, pursing his lips and clearing his throat lightly. "Five," he corrected her with a gentle murmur before clarifying, "Nephilim have a gestation period just over half that of normal humans." As he delivered the news, he watched her carefully for her reaction.

Mackenzie could only shrug; she had her father's journal and had scoured it several times through her life searching for clues that would offer answers to the many questions she had, but had found none. "What or who ever told him, or how he found out he's kept to himself. He didn't write it anywhere and best I could tell he's never told anyone else." She bit her lip gently but smiled slowly. "So what's the plan, Councilmen Hendrix?" She knew they would have to figure out some kind of game plan for the morning.

Ashley-May paused, eyes wide as Elijah filled in some information she certainly did not know before. Lips parted to speak but no voice came out. She sat still contemplating what he told her. Of course it wouldn't be simple of easy, it hadn't been so far. "Well." She said quietly after a few moments, but she had nothing to follow up with.

There was so much she didn't know, was unsure of. She knew the a sped up pregnancy couldn't be good. "What does that mean for me?"

William sighed as he considered the question. "This may be our only opening to learn whatever we can about the First Sin and maybe get some clues about the infiltrator's identity in the process. That works best if we're aggressive with what we know and leave nothing out... but not knowing who the infiltrator is ahead of time, we could be putting Chase at risk. We can't be positive the Council -- or those that the Councillors talk to -- are loyal only to Vitae. In other words, we risk overplaying our hand."

He crossed his arms, turning to look at the wall of the foyer, lost in thought. "On the other hand, if we beat around the bush too much the Council will likely do everything they can to stall us out, even with Brendan and Diffey's support." He turned to look at Mackenzie. "Any ideas?"

upload_2017-7-13_23-40-5.jpeg
Elijah gave Ashley-May a sympathetic smile as she processed the information, waiting several moments until after she asked about the implications of this newfound knowledge. "I'm not entirely sure," he said hesitantly. "The lore that I've seen isn't exactly clear. There are mentions the carriage of Nephilim being... problematic for the mother while they retain their Grace, but nothing specific. For instance, I'm not even sure if it's necessary that you see a doctor periodically for checkups like most pregnancies. The baby will probably sustain you both health-wise, but any complications that may arise specific to Nephilim... I just don't know," he answered truthfully, his voice tinged with regret.

Food forgotten for now, he reached over from his chair to place his hand on Ash's shoulder. "Whatever happens, we'll all find a way to make it work."

Mackenzie regarded Will as he cycled through the possibilities they had before them. Pre-planning was not a strong suit for her. There were too many variables to account for to plan. She watched him turn through his own frustration and waited patiently until he brought it back around to her. A slow smile crossed her lips, as she shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't a clue." It was the honest truth, but she made her way back towards him and took his hand giving it a gentle squeeze. "All we can do is wait and see for now."

Ashley-May nodded as Eli answered her rather loaded inquiry, she wasn't sure if it was comforting or not to know that the Nephilim would keep them both healthy; though she really thought it was the Grace the Nephilim had that would do it. Not knowing what to expect was terrifying, but she knew Eli, Mac and Will would be there to help her. "Thank you."

She gave a slight sigh. "You need to eat, really." She said smiling again. "And me. Then I'll get you your meds."

William smiled at Mackenzie's matter-of-fact answer, not blaming her in the least. He brought his hand up to his lips, placing a kiss on her knuckles. "I guess we can be clueless together, then," he said lightly. He wasn't sure how to approach the Council tomorrow, weighing Chase's safety against the best chance to gather information they had received to this point. After all the lengths the werewolf had already gone to for their sake, he knew he couldn't gamble with his life regardless of the circumstances... they'd need to find some way to get the Council to talk while still hiding the source of their information.

Pushing the thoughts away for now, he sighed, looking around the house. "It's quiet. Think we'll be seeing Ash tonight?" he asked with a smirk, rubbing small circles on the top of her hand with his thumb.

upload_2017-7-14_9-10-15.jpeg

Elijah nodded at Ashley-May's gentle command, grabbing a sandwich and taking a bite. As they ate, he quickly discovered the Ash hadn't been exaggerating: the lunch maids were very good at their jobs. He looked over at Ash with a smile, "This is great, Ash. Thank you," he remarked sincerely. "So, after you drug me into unconsciousness to get me out of your hair..." he said lightheartedly, "...you ought to go by the new house. Relax, sleep in a real bed. You deserve it. I promise not to have any more unscheduled adventures while you're gone."

Mackenzie smiled as she watched Will kiss her head, she slowly shook her head. "She sent the message earlier, my lesson. She's working over night tonight; I would guess more to keep an eye on Eli than anything else." She leaned in against him then, resting her head against his chest as she slid her free arm around his waist to his back. "We have the house to ourselves... Mostly." She continued to forget about Adelaide. She told herself it was because the woman was so new, but she knew the truth of it: she wanted to forget she existed.

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley-May ate as well, though more selectively; she was far too aware of exactly how much she was eating, but at least now she understood why. She hadn't had a medical reason for her sudden mood swings and intense cravings. Typically women wouldn't expect these sorts of things until they were further along; but if Eli were right, and she would only be carrying the child half the time then an accelerated side effects would make sense. She knew with her time line shortened she would have to start considering far more grander things.

Eli drew her from her thoughts thanking her for the food. She smiled and nodded. "I'll bring more for you soon then, I know the nurses want you on a more liquid diet, and that's kinda textbook but tiral and error has taught me a lot. If the patient doesn't want to eat, they heal far slower than someone who craves food." She may not have earned her final degree, really only a few months shy of the goal, but she had spent a great deal of time in the emergency room and handling her own patients while in New York. Eli was telling her to go home but she slowly shook her head. "I trust that you won't go gallivanting around while I'm away, but the night nurse called off and if someone comes in for help over night and no one is here..." She gave a saddened smile. "I need this... this job. I want something to do, and I won't be able to hunt soon.."

William felt Mac's arms slip around his midsection and smiled, the expression faltering slightly as she clearly remembered Adelaide's presence within the house. "Adelaide's asleep," he said confidently, "She was exhausted." He leaned down -- practically hunched forward to make up for their disparity in height -- in order to bring his lips to hers. He brought one hand up to rest on the back of her head, gently tilting it up toward him while his other hand rested on her hip. Finally breaking the kiss moments later, he placed his forehead against hers. "We'll be fine as long as we stay quiet. This is a big house," he murmured with a teasing smile.

Elijah grinned between bites at the news that Ash wouldn't be cutting off his supply of food anytime soon. He knew in a few weeks he would regret feasting like this, especially with the associated inactivity of laying in bed all day. He would be paying in the form of hours spent at the gym, honing himself back into Hunting shape. William could be a taskmaster in that regard, not that Davenport needed the motivation. Still, for the time being, he was glad to have something other than the Jello-O and broth the nurses insisted on bringing him.

As Ashley-May explained why she couldn't leave, Elijah nodded his understanding. As much as he would have liked for her to get some real rest, he could see that circumstances wouldn't allow it for the time being. He didn't want Ash to lose the Clinic -- it was obviously a big part of her life right now. More selfishly, he wanted her near him for the way she made him feel, as much as he didn't want to admit it to himself.

"That'll make two of us, then," Eli said with a wan smile. "I'm no doctor, but I know enough to understand that I won't be swinging a sword for a long time yet. We can both be invalids together, having others cater to our every whim," he joked, holding his bottled water up toward her in toast. "To bedrest."

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie complied to Will's gentle encouragement, lips smiling as his kissed her own, eyes closing to enjoy the affection. She was continually amazing how lost she could get in Will's arms. The world had always been a dark and troubled place for Mac, growing up, as a teenage and even well into her adult life. Of course there were glimmers of light; reasons to hold on and continue doing that she did to protect them. She had been lost after leaving the Nest, not belonging anywhere, to anyone or anything until she had found Ash and the demon Mur. Even after Ash had been freed she had hoped the woman would return to her normal life, continue with her education, learn to mend people and make a difference. Mac had been both disappointed and happy to hear Ash wanting to join her. A tiny glimmer of light in a work of darkness that fueled Mac want to keep fighting.

William was different. To say he was a glimmer of light in her world was like comparing the light of a lighter against the sun. He made the world real. Made her realize she could care, did care, about herself. About living and that there was more to it than simply the next hunt. That life could happen, there was a possibility to more: a place to belong, a person to love and a home to rest within. Dark eyes flickered open at his suggestive comment, her smile turning into a smirk. "Mr. Hendrix," She purred quietly. "Your place or mine?"

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley-May laughed, collecting her own bottle of water and raising it to tap against his own in his mockery of a toast. If she knew Mac as well as she thought she did, there was little doubt to his statement coming true. Mac would a force to deal with for the next few months, and then after when there was a child to deal with as well. She was thankful for the ferocity of her best friend; even if she could be an overbearing hag at times, it was always done in the goodness of her heart.

She gave a slight sigh before noting Elijah was slowing down. "Well, Davenport, I think it's time we get you back into that bed." She said firmly. She stood from the chair and headed to the control panel at the foot of the bed, pressing and holding the button of the hospital bed until it lowered itself as far as it would. While it eliminated much of the gap there was still a rather sever height difference between the wheelchair and the bed itself. "This is not going to be easy in any way, you know that, right?"

William raised his eyebrows at Mackenzie's mischievous smile, her soft voice causing his heart to swell. He didn't answer for a moment, looking into the dark, green eyes he had memorized every detail of. It was bizarre to think that she had only come into his life days ago. The connection he felt to her was unlike any relationship he'd ever been a part of, certainly any romance. It was stronger, more alive. He had meant every word of what he had said to Mac after Franklin's meeting. She made him whole, like discovering a part of himself he hadn't even known was missing.

Looking down at her, he put aside the flirtatious game they were playing, heedless of where it was leading. Bringing his hand up, he ran it along the edge of her cheek, her question forgotten for the time being. The trust and admiration he felt for her was almost beyond words. Except one. "I love you, Mackenzie Cannonach... and I should have told you that a long time ago." He smiled, then, face flushing as he looked down at the floor. He knew the declaration had been abrupt, unexpected even... but it was a long time coming.

upload_2017-7-14_18-33-58.jpeg

Elijah sighed at Ashley-May's matter-of-fact assessment. "Yeah, I know... but I trust you. And look on the bright side: if something goes wrong and I start hemorrhaging, I don't have to go far for treatment," he said with a grin. Setting the empty tray aside, he looked up at her. "How do you want to do this? I'm ready when you are."

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie watched and waited for Will's reply; firmly believing and loving their playful game that continued on and off whenever they had the chance. Whether it was appropriate alone time between the two of them or a way for the both of them to simply ignore what was happening around them; she loved it. Every second of Will's attention he would dote upon her she would blissfully enjoy. It worried her that it took so long for him to reply, that he hadn't responded with some sort of banter along the lines or a tab, or paying her doctor bills; where she had expected it. Instead his voice took a serious tone that made her frown slightly.

"I love you, Mackenzie Cannonach"

Dark eyes widened after the statement, the rest of his sentence lost in murmur as she attempted and failed to understand what exactly he had just said. She honestly believed she had misheard him; certainly he had said something flirtatious, right? But his gaze averted and he flushed like she hadn't ever seen him do before. Her heart jumped into her throat, threatened to burst as she felt it swell within her. Lips parted to speak but nothing escaped them, she briefly shook her head, uncertain what to do, panic rising. With Will's slightly bent posture she leaped at him, throwing her arms over his shoulders, lips crashing into his. She took advantage of the momentum to wrap her lips around his waist the best she could, kissing him fiercely. "I love you too." She mumbled against his lips between kisses.

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley-May assessed the transition between Eli and the bed's height; typically this was done with geriatric patients not recent surgery patients. "Alright." She chose to ignore his sarcastic comments about immediate assistance. She wasn't certain if it were just a joke to him, or if it was he way of venting concerns about the seriousness of his injuries. She re-positioned the wheelchair so it was next to the bed before unscrewing the arm directly beside the bed. After which she pulled the sheet from his bed towards him at the chair. "Here, help me tuck this under you." She didn't want to try and lift him again, they were only missing about six inches, but she didn't want to risk dropping him and hurting him more so.

With the sheet beneath him she pulled it around and stepped behind the chair. She wrapped either end of the sheet around both her hands, twisting like she had done his cotton pants earlier and started to lift slowly until it was taut beneath him. "Okay, so on the count of three, I need you to use your arms to pull yourself up onto the bed. Don't worry about the chair, I'll kick it out of the way as soon as you're off. Just try not to move your legs or tense your core muscles, alright?"

William panicked as the seconds went at an agonizingly slow pace with no response from Mackenzie. He worried that he had said too much, gone too fast. He half-expected for her to rush from the room. Instead, he let out a grunt of surprise, nearly toppling backward as she wrapped her arms around his neck and launched her petite frame into him. He regained his balance at she sensation of her lips against his, murmuring the words he craved to hear: I love you too. The warmth in his chest turned to fire and he needed no encouragement to return the kisses with equal passion, his hands dropping down to wrap under her thighs in order to support her.

Never pulling his lips away, Will turned on his heel and walked further into the darkness of the house, navigating by instinct as he carried Mackenzie. His senses failed him as his boot caught on the leg of the couch, nearly tripping him up. He narrowly managed to regained his balance, turning toward the nearby Wall to lean Mac's back gently against it, laughing against her lips.

upload_2017-7-14_23-1-15.jpeg
Elijah nodded his understanding at Ashley-May's commands, tucking the sheet securely underneath himself. He readied his arms, already looking for decent handholds on the bed. Finding some that would pass, he turned to look back at Ash. "On your count," he said with an anxious smile.

Hypnos just smiled as Chase walked away after a rather amusing use of his typical passive aggression. After all it was all he could do. If he actually tried to kill Hypnos it would give him licence to 'defend himself'. Hypnos glanced over to the Kitsune, " Shall we depart? I'll travel with you to release her. Better to not give my brother the chance to upset the balance. I will however see if he's interested in taking my place here. " Hypnos said with a slight chuckle. "Please excuse me a moment." Hypnos said to the kitsune as he as Hypnos wrote a quick letter to his brother. With a classic cab whistle Hypnos gave the letter to an Oneiroi that then appeared to deliver the message. With the message sent Hypnos walked over to Chase and cleared his throat to ever so gently interrupt the conversation between the two werewolves. " I just wanted to let Chase here now that as per his request I'll be leaving your gracious home. However it's very likely that my brother will be taking my place. I'm sure you guys will have a lot more use for him than you would me anyway right Chase?" Hypnos asked giving the werewolves a friendly pat on the back.

The projection that had been within Mackenzie and the gangs home woke up as the situation with Chase came to a close. Getting his bearings Hypnos then looked around for Mackenzie and then stopped with a sigh as he began looking through the information he was getting from Mackenzie. Just the emotions he could feel from her he knew it would be quite a damper if he showed up. What to do.... Visions? That would ruin the mood between them he had been hoping would spark. Some other form of message.... a letter? It was old fashioned but it would work. Muttering to himself as he looked around for pen and paper Hypnos tried to figure out what to say. Thankfully when he did finally find what he needed he had it figured out.
Hypnos would write about his finding of the Packs location in the woods and Chase's current standing within the Pack. He would then go into his plan to go to Japan with a Kitsune to get help with the First Sin. He would then let her know that Thanatos, or a least a little part of him, would be inside the Pack watching them. He would then take up an entire paragraph to assure Mackenzie that Thanatos wouldn't blow Chase's cover, and wouldn't even attack anyone who wasn't supposed to die. Then at the end he would mention a demon within the woods that broke the warding and allowed him to find the Pack in the first place.

With the letter constructed He left the letter on the kitchen table and disappeared. He would let them have their moment before telling her about the letter.

Jordan let out a small sigh, more of boredom than frustration "I assume it would be best," he turned to the other wolves who had long since stopped paying attention, "I thank you for the hospitality you have shown on such short notice and hope that we can get along in the future. Despite the bits of hostility and insult flinging, I still believe we can work together~" The Kitsune bowed his head in respect before whipping his head back to throw the dreadlocks out of his face. "Let us depart, if they have no want of our help we'll respect it." Jordan looked at his phone and sent out another text to call off Himiko, no sense in her catching the damned thing only to be met with ungrateful responses. He put the phone back in his pocket and gestured to Hypnos to lead the way.

Himiko was not having a good day, first she gets the call to go out and hunt a demon, At least it let's me work out some frustration she had thought to herself. Himiko had been on the move immediately and had almost closed in on the demon when she got the second text from Jordan 'Forget the Demon, we have more pressing plans.' Himiko let out a primal growl full of frustration and anger and she looked at the woods around her. "Seems your time has been extended demon, fate would not have me tear you apart." she snarled into the open forest before running towards the end of the forest.

Mackenzie tightened her grip around Will as he started to stumble, frozen in place as she was fated to fall or remain in his arms based on his balance and sense. She was certainly relieved when he recovered and continued to their destination - not where she thought he was headed for certain. She sighed against his lips contently, feeling the wall behind her lend support to her within his arms. She leaned her head back against his, hand rising to cup his cheek, her thumb slowly tracing along his swollen lips. She smiled as she felt the sleepy gods presence disappear from the house; she supposed even he had his limits to how much he would watch.

Under normal circumstances Mac wouldn't be this ... forward with a significant other; always choosing to wait it out. Often times would be lovers grew bored and left, save for Ash, but given their current situation and what was coming she wanted nothing more than to share everything with him. "Now Will, I know how predisposed you are to being an exhibitionist, I really don't feel like our first time together should be in the living room: If Ash does come home, she will absolutely watch." She laughed and leaned in to kiss him again. "Come on love, let's go to bed."

Ashley-May was thankful for Eli's speedy preparation for this move, and that he trusted she knew what she was doing. "One...Two...Three." On the count she lifted him once more, somehow finding it easier than the last. As his bottom came off the seat she shifted her weight so she could kick the chair away and have more range. With Eli's help the two of them managed to lift him up the missing inches from the chair to the bed. Only when she was certain he was securely a top the bedding did she release the sheet. She shifted down towards the bottom of the bed, collecting Eli's legs to prevent him from using them to drag himself back into position. "Alright, use your arms to lift: Ill push you up."

Malcolm walked with Chase behind the old man as they headed directly to where Emile had been last next to the broken wards. The Shaman didn't need any assistance in finding where his ward had been broken: after all they had been his. As they approached Emile was no where to be seen, though Malcolm wasn't bothered by this. Instead he stopped a fair distance away from the shaman and drew Chase in closer, to keep them both out of the way. "This might take some time but it'll be worth to see. We put up the wards after Pan took a grip over the Pack and used part of it in his Trial with the colony. Though we're all wearing protective wards to prevent that again, Emile thought it best to ward the camp to stop any wayward gods from wandering in."

As he spoke Emile returned, stepping through the brush to where the shaman was examining the destroyed ward. The two had a brief conversation that quickly became heated before Emile threw his hands up in frustration glaring at the older man. His glare remained, though it was clear the shaman wasn't about to back down, instead he waited with his own glare; admittedly not as frightening as Emile could be. Soon enough Emile seceded with a growl, extending his hand out the shaman swiftly took a blade to it, drawing blood to the surface of the Alpha's palm before turning to start chanting; recasting his wards.

William opened his eyes, once again getting lost in the emerald pools in front of him as he felt Mac's hand against his cheek, her thumb tracing against his lips. At her comment about his penchant for exhibitionism, he chuckled. That hardly seemed fair; those had been as much her fault as his. His rising protest was lost in the face of what Mackenzie said next. He paused for a moment, eyes widening just slightly. He had realized things were headed in this direction and it would have been a lie to say he didn't want it with every fiber of his being. But he had wanted to give Mackenzie space -- and time.

However, any thoughts of refusal fell by the wayside as he she kissed him. "As you wish," he murmured with a smile, pulling away from the wall and hefting her upward before carrying her to the master bedroom. Once inside, he leaned one leg backwards to lightly nudge the door shut behind them, thrusting them both into the darkness of their own world until morning came...

On the count of three, Elijah felt Ashley-May pull him upward using the leverage of the sheet. Doing his best to keep his core loose and his legs limp, he dragged himself upward and onto the bed. Feeling it securely underneath him, Ash released the sheet, leaving his legs dangling from off the side. At her second command, he nodded, grunting with the effort as he lifted himself further along the bed while she pushed his legs into position. Finally coming to rest with a pant, he clutched at his abdomen lightly -- the flare-up of pain wasn't as bad as he had expected, though.

"That could have been worse," he remarked through gritted teeth.

Ashley-May gave Eli the same frown she had earlier at his sarcastic comments, but at least now she understood it for what it was; a cover for how he was feeling. She could see him holding close to his incision sight and she sighed quietly. "I'll get you those pain killers, and a sedative; it'll keep you from dreaming." She recalled the nightmares that had occurred just earlier today while he slept and she didn't want him any more disturbed than he had been recently. She gently pulled the sheet up over the lower half of his body, reaching to give his hand a gentle squeeze before turning to leave the room and collect the items that she needed.

Malcolm and Chase followed behind Emile and the shaman as they re-created the first ritual several times, rewarding all the trees that had been defaced by the demon, or demons; it was hard to tell at this point. Both men remained silent as the two others worked tirelessly to return the protective circle around the encampment. Once done the shaman shuffled back directly to the camp, not bothering to even regard Mal or Chase on his way. Emile, however returned to the two waiting.

"I take it we're back in running order." Malcolm stated and Emile nodded. "Good," He glanced to Chase momentarily before speaking again to Emile. "I'll inform the pack; no night games tonight and another hunting party tomorrow." He turned and started away.

Emile walked with Chase back to his cabin slowly. "Je suis desolé," He stated quietly in the growing night, "The celebration will be short ce soir. We need to find demon, know why he broke our wards." Once again back within the camp the pack was already cleaning up the night's festivities; putting away food and dousing fires. Malcolm had already organized a double watch to scout and make sure they didn't have any unexpected visitors.

At the Cabin, Emile would once more insist on Chase taking his bed; he certainly didn't mind sleeping the night away as the wolf he knew he was and it gave him peace of mind that he was indoors should something happen.

Elijah's expression softened as Ash not only promised him relief from pain and help sleeping, but an escape from night terrors. He could only assume that his previous bout of nightmares hadn't gone unnoticed while he slept. The fact that she had noticed and was taking the initiative in sparing him from more brought the feeling of warmth back to his chest. "Thank you," he murmured as she pulled the sheet up and over him, squeezing his hand. Even as she left the room and his pain continued, he began to feel the same calm that always fell over him when in Ash's presence. Elijah sighed deeply, leaning back against his pillow as he awaited her return.
