Speaking with Laiba would have been an interesting -- even amusing -- experience for Adelaide, had things not taken a sudden turn when the angel asked if she needed to "remove" Morgan and Brody from the vehicle. As Morgan spoke up in defense of the two of them and looked to her, Addy quickly nodded in agreement. "These two wolves are both my companions. They are here by my will," she reassured Laiba, though the angel's face betrayed no emotion whatsoever. Addy cleared her throat adding, "Thank you for watching out for us. How are you going to help us get to Boston?"

William Main.jpg
William nodded tersely at Gaveel's answer, not expecting much else from her. What she said next had him frowning, however, as much from her tone as the statement itself. The normally stoic angel was almost hesitant as she remarked that Heaven's gates would be closing soon. Will wasn't sure what that meant for the rest of them and before he had a chance to ask, he turned to see Mac holding out his angrily-buzzing phone toward him. Will took it, glancing at the screen with a sigh.

He glanced back at Gaveel and Micah apologetically. "We have to go. Emergency council meeting. Thank you for the update," Will finished, somewhat awkwardly as he returned to the car, sitting down alongside Mac to fire up the Beast.

Elijah 8.jpg
Elijah managed to tactfully ignore Brendan's glare as he and Ashley-May entered. Elijah didn't recognize the man Brendan introduced as Chester, though he gave him a respectful nod of greeting all the same. Approaching the table, his eyes scanned several lines of text inside the dossier along with the accompanying visual aids. It was certainly thorough. He nodded at Brendan's remark, "It certainly sounds promising," Eli remarked politely before glancing up at Chester. "Can I ask what your stake in this is, Mister--"

He didn't have a chance to finish as Thor materialized before them -- always one for an entrance. As it happened, the deity quickly revealed Chester's identity... only creating more questions for the bemused hunter. "'Horseman'?" Elijah echoed flatly. "As in, one of the Four?" He kept his eyes on the two, even as the door opened to admit William and Mackenzie behind him.

Chase nodded his answer to the question, "I bet you probably enjoy having someone chauffeur you around given you are so used to driving on the job back at home." He noted with a small smile, keeping his eyes ahead watching a few pack members before turning his head so he could look at the other man who'd parked on his shoulder. "We should probably grab what we have from the cabin before we are the last one's ready to go, you'd be setting a bad example." It wasn't like they'd had time to pack anything and everything the night before considering they'd been, well, preoccupied. Not that there was much to gather up to begin with, most of Chase's own belongings remained in his duffel-bag, in the Toyota, or near the bag. Giving the mans arm a pat Chase proceeded to move around Emile to head back to the cabin, and once inside he shoved a small pile of likely dirty clothes into the open duffel-bag. The man stood with the handle in one hand, thrown over his shoulder before glancing around the cabin which he'd called home for a while. Mentally checking for anything that shouldn't be left behind, once something clicked he quickly moved towards the kitchen area where Ashley's gift basket had been left to collect it.

Chester did his best to remain patient and to not muck things up. To that end, he stood to the side as other members of the council started coming in, smiling and nodding to them when they first looked his way. Until Thor came in. After a momentary look of surprise, Chaos gave a devilish grin in time for The Thunder God’s attention to come his way. Thor’s reaction was milder than the Horseman had been expecting, but still delightful.
“Ah, Thor!” He greeted jovially. “Great to see you after all this time. You’ll be happy to know that I’m here to play nice. Just asking for a favor in return for a favor.”
See Thor brought back some old memories. Damn, this job use to be way more fun. Chester glanced over at Elijah and suppressed the urge to play with him. He still need these guys on his side.
“Retired.” He replied with a more reassuring smile. “You could say I left over creative differences before the 4 Horseman got the Apocalypse gig. I have a lot of names, but the most succinct one is Chaos. Though Chester has been my go to for the last couple of decades. My stake in this is the rescue of an old friend of mine. Another former Horseman you probably know as Conquest.”

Ashley-May soon settled next to Diffey, content to stick with the Elder for the time being, he was more her speed for the time being. She listened, as Brendan and Elijah went over the folder of information, giving Chester a slight nod of introduction. It was business time after all, however the calm atmosphere quickly evaporated as Thor arrived. She sat forward, watching the deity levelly. She frowned only slightly but nodded. "You and I are going to have a long talk the very second there is free time." She paused, attempting to sound angry. "I miss my friend."

DEincn1.jpg
Brendan frowned at the mention of the extradimentional visitor but didn't ask - he knew it had to do with the girl Hendrix and his aide had taken away. He wasn't certain if he should be thankful or not that Thor evidently knew Chester but continued as Elijah questioned. "Yes, now if we could just stick to-" The doors of the REC center opened to admit the missing part of the Council. With an annoyed sigh Brendan simply leaned back in his seat, waiting for everyone to settle. He glanced to Ginny with a shake of his head. "The very least you're here, ready and willing. Any chance you could teach everyone else this trait?"

bTU0wF0.png
Mackenzie followed William into the REC center though paused at the odd entity that was clearly a guest of the Council. She couldn't quite place what it was but knew, somehow, it meant no harm to the colony. She didn't bother glancing at what Elijah and now William, were leaning over, instead finding herself an empty chair to drop into. She rolled her eyes the very second Ash made a gagging noise, standing enough to drag her chair away and position it further from the pregnant woman. Ash hadn't like the smell of smoke in their long years of hunting together and Mac didn't want to have a fight with her. For the time being all she wanted was some sleep. Where's Hypnos when you need him?

Laiba regarded the human after she spoke, eyes turning over to regard the pair of wolves. All the beings within the vehicle seemed tense but she hadn't detected any hesitation within Adelaide's voice when she counted both wolves as her allies. "Then you shall keep them." she nodded and stepped closer to the vehicle. "Please remain still and within the vehicle. Humans often have adverse reactions to being aported." She placed a hand on the roof of the car and within seconds they were moved, across the continent to a deserted highway only a few miles outside of the edges of Boston. Satisfied she had managed to complete her part fully she stepped back from the vehicle. "I will await you here, once you have completed your mission return to this place and I will return you home. Be noted, I cannot assist you with your Seal or the enemies you may face."

Emile rolled his eyes, "My pack wait for me," He stated simply but the truth of it they were both aware it was hardly the case. While the pack listened and 'obeyed' for lack of a better term, the pack was a far cry from a ruling dictatorship and far closer to a family referring to its patriarch for guidance, most of the time. He followed the other man back into the cabin and set to work collecting the odds and ends that had gathered. He was typically very tidy, and so the task was done shortly, his small pack with a minimal amount of clothes slung over his shoulder as he watched Chase finish up. He finally gave an annoyed glance to the 'gift' Ash had delivered to Chase during his time away. "I think we give that back to her, oui? She use the leash for her ..erm." He frowned searching for the correct word. "You call him 'hubby' before? Elijah."

William knew as soon as he stepped into the assembly room that the stranger wasn't human, something the others were clearly already aware of. He managed to catch the exchange between the mysterious man and Elijah, prompting him to raise an eyebrow, though he did not comment as he approached -- also tactfully ignoring Brendan's obvious annoyance at their tardiness.

Elijah slid the dossier across the table to his partner, who took it with a nod of thanks to scan over the information contained therein. Meanwhile, Eli kept his attention on Chester -- or Chaos, as it happened. "So, the demonic presence may be small, but I can only imagine they're employing some hefty spell work to keep your... compatriot bound. We need to be prepared to counter that and break any binding spells we come across."

Adelaide opened her eyes, finding herself clenching the steering wheel tightly in her palms. Looking up, her stomach lurched slightly as her eyes were greeted by a very different road than the one they had just found themselves on outside Vitae. Her attention was taken back to Laiba as the angel spoke again. Addy smiled queasily at the woman, nodding. "We understand. Thank you for the help, Laiba," she remarked.

With it clear that the angel had no other information or warnings to impart on them, Addy looked ahead at the Massachusetts highway -- Boston's skyline visible in the distance -- pressing down on the accelerator to send the Civic rolling on its journey.

Ginny chuckles a bit at Brendan’s remark, staying out of the other conversations for the moment, as she waves to those members of the council finally getting here. She looks at the plans with Elijah, humming. “Yeah… looks like another research session.” She says with a small smile. As much as she loves reading, those get really tiring after a while.

She doesn’t say much at these meetings, mainly because she doesn’t have much input. Other than a lot of questions on what she should be packing, which would probably annoy everyone present. She’s still trying to learn how to do all of this.

It took a moment for Chase to catch what Emile meant about returning something in the bags contents until he mentioned the leash. "So you're saying you don't want to try it out?" He asked with a mildly fake pouting face that faded into a smug smile, remembering the shade of red it had turned Emile then he continued heading for the door. "I mean you can try, but return gifting it won't have the same effect given their lack of a four-legged form." Not that being human stopped a particular kind of people out there from using it in the bedroom. As far as Chase was concerned the leash had done it's job, and likely Ash as well once Chase had gotten around to letting her know the reaction it had elicited from the older man. Once he reached the Toyota parked just outside the cabin he opened the back door and tossed his duffel-bag gently to the opposite side of the back seat, then placed the other one inside before moving out of the way and leaning his hip against the open door to allow Emile access to do the same with his own belongings. "But that'll be your solo mission if you really want to." He stated, imagining Emile going to return it on his own and finding some amusement at the thought. "You nervous?" He asked pointedly, knowing the Alpha wasn't a fan of moving into Vitae even if only for a while. Chase had already voiced one of his concerns the night before, the other being in a place surrounded by hunters who know what he was. Yeah, he wasn't exactly thrilled about that.

Thor began making his way to a seat as he remembered a certain line from a book "And I saw in his hand a book, sealed with seven seals, the first of which was broken... And behold a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and he went forth to conquer..." Finishing just as he sat down. He continued "While I am well aware we can use allies, Conquest is a loose cannon, I will need guarantees he won't go rogue before I agree to help free him. And you must have fallen far from grace indeed, if mere demons can keep your brother bound." the Deity said, finishing with a look at Chaos.

He then turned to Ash with a solemn look and nodded "That we shall.". He wasn't quite sure if she was upset, but he had bigger concerns than thinking about that right now, with a Horseman in the room attempting to have his brother freed.

Brendan smiled briefly at Ginny's reluctant agreement about research, he had little doubt that the teenage Djinn cared much about books and learning as much as she would about actually doing field work. He let William catch up with Elijah but a frown soon settled on his features as Thor interceded and spoke to Chester, before the horsemen could reply Brendan cut in. "Vitae is not asking for assurances." He said simply, garnering the attention of those gathered. "Our new alliances mean that we must trust those that come seeking help - not matter who or with what they may have previously aligned themselves. We all die if Adam is free and that includes gods, horsemen, angels, wolves. Chester has given his word that, should Vitae assist with the recovery of his friend, they would consider us allies in the time to come. That is enough for Vitae to agree." It was a miracle the horsemen hadn't arrived and threatened the colony, demanding their assistance.

"As our ally, Thor, we kindly request your assistance. If you do not wish to join our forces in this endeavour we will understand." He turned his attention to the two men still regarding the dossier. "I'd like Ginny to be included in whatever plans we make of this: she needs to learn how to work with our forces, she's an asset. We can ask Franklin for assistance and possibly the pack." The latter half of his sentence sounding more like a question. "As well as the Men of Letters: We don't have to make this mole hill a mountain, we have the resources now."

Mackenzie frowned at the conversation at hand, she had missed parts of it, possibly even nodding off but she understood it had to do with demons. "I'll go. If it's Mur's gang I should-"

"The Prophet stays in the colony." Gaveel appeared not far behind William and Elijah, Micah at her side. "This is not in regards to Seals or the prevention of the First Sin rising; the Prophet is un-involved."

Mackenzie paused, lips parting in a sneer to argue but she quickly snapped her teeth shut, leaning back in her chair once more. She knew very well the secrets the Angels were hiding and why she needed to remain behind. She cast a quick glance over those in the meeting - many of which were watching her expectantly. "Well?" She hissed. "Figure your shit out so I can go to bed."

Morgan has not been prepared in any way for what was about to happen. Adelaide had settled with the angel that she and Brody were allies and not to be 'removed' - whatever that had meant. Satisfied she returned to eating her breakfast as Addy went on to ask how the angel was going to help. There wasn't a warning. No heads up of what the angel was doing, only that they should remain in the car.

Arriving in the new place was near sensory overload of Morgan. She the sudden shift alone made her head swim and her heart race but the sudden intake of new scents and noises; they weren't anywhere near Vitae or the pack any longer. She groaned, closing her eyes and dropping the remainder of her sandwich back into the paper bag, feeling her stomach roil in protest.

"I fucking hate angels," Brody grumbled from the backseat as Adelaide started them on their way to Boston once more. He reached over the back of the passenger seat to give Morgans shoulder a sympathetic squeeze. "For nearly omnipotent creature they're really fucking dumb." He looked over Addy, trying to assess just how she was doing with the aportation. This hadn't been his first, and by the way Laiba was speaking, unlikely to be the last time either.

Emile groaned as Chase continued with the leash - he didn't doubt if he lived to a hundred (and Chase tolerated him for that long) the younger wolf would still be dragging it out of the closet just to make him react with embarrassment. He followed along behind Chase as they headed to his car, tossing in his duffel bag once Chase stepped aside. "About la laisse? Bien sur, I just wait for you to take it out and show people again." He stepped back, glancing over the camp grounds to see that the pack were waiting on them now. "About Vitae: oui. I know we must trust." There were too many variables for Emile to consider just how badly this could go for him and his pack; if it was all a trap, a way for the people of Vitae to enact some sort of revenge, then at the very least the majority of those that had come South for Missy were headed back home again.

He sighed, reaching out to take Chase's hand. He gave it a squeeze. "But you will help me wit this." He did his best to speak only in English. "Wit living wit human, et, hunter. Tell me when I push too much, oui?"

Evelyn stepped through the threshold of the REC center soon followed by Arthur. Much to her relief it seemed the Council (not the name she would describe those in attendance) were still gathered for their morning meeting. She headed down the aisles towards the main stage, arriving just as the Angels did. It was startling, to see them suddenly so, nevertheless she stood her ground, letting them finish whatever conversation them were on before interrupting: their news was important but currently contained.

William 2.jpg Elijah Main.jpg
William found himself in the strange position of being silently thankful of Gaveel's sudden arrival and interjection into the conversation. The last thing he wanted was for her to go chasing demons. However, while he had no particular reason to trust this stranger making the request, he understood Brendan's position. "I can go," he said neutrally. Gaveel turned to glare at him disapprovingly and he raised a placating hand to cut the angel's protest off. "The Prophet will be here, in Vitae. I'll be doing more good as her Guardian getting rid of a few demons that might be a future threat than I would here."

Elijah pursed his lips, remaining silent until his partner finished before speaking. "I'll join this little venture if we need an extra blade. I've healed up enough to be useful out there." Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Evelyn and Arthur entering. Under other circumstances, he might have greeted them both with a sour glare... but he didn't. Brendan's comments about the need for unity -- not to mention his discovery about their daughter -- had him rethinking things... a bit. Instead he gave the two of them a courteous nod, grabbing the dossier and turning it over to Arthur so the two of them could be filled in.
Adelaide Main.jpg
Adelaide turned a sympathetic eye toward her two wolf companions, reaching out to lay a hand on Morgan's knee. "You two all right?" she asked, keeping one eye on the road. "That was... something else," she remarked flatly. The aportation had been unexpected and jarring and her stomach -- and mind -- were still only just settling.

Thor paused in contemplation briefly before responding, on one hand he wasn't eager to let a Horseman of the Apocalypse loose even if said Horseman was weakened and shared a common enemy, on the other hand he knew that he could be a potent weapon against Adam. "Well as alliances already have been made with werewolves, vampires, angels and even gods I don't see why we ought to stop now. I shall help you, but know this..." He looked at Chester with eyes that showed no signs that he was anything but dead serious "If your brother starts misbehaving and run amok, I swear by Odin that I will find the deepest, darkest hole in existence, and when I find it, I shall make it even deeper and bury him in it."

He then turned his attention to Elijah with a smile "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of hunting with you before, if you're lucky you might see Mjölnir in action.". As he looked back at Brendan however, his brow was slightly furrowed "I am not sure what you mean by including, in the end it is up to you and her to decide if she is to take part, yet I must voice my concern about bringing someone that inexperienced along on a demon hunt if that is what you mean. They won't hesitate to rip someone who hesitates to shreds. And if you speak about her powers as an Oracle... May I recommend trying to establish contact with a more gentle god? Choosing an Oracle is personal, I haven't done so for centuries, and some of the more savage Old Gods likely hasn't taken it too well to have one been chosen for them."

Ginny grimaces a bit at Thor’s words. “Mm, since Hypnos fell asleep, I haven’t had any visions at all. Which is kind of not helping with my anxiety levels.” She mutters, tapping a finger on the table. This whole situation is incredibly tense. And she really doesn’t like having the angels or the men of letters here for it. She’s still working on getting used to Mac, not to mention these strangers that would likely kill her under any other circumstance.

She drinks some more of her coffee, wishing she knew how to talk at these meetings. Some days she’d rather just not talk at all. It would make her feel safer.

Chase shut the door when Emile took a step away, looking at the now mostly vacant campground. It was clear they both had some misgivings about going into Vitae, but Chase's instinct told him it was the smart move. With a small shake of his head Chase leaned to bump his shoulder against Emile's when the Alpha said he was looking to Chase for assistance when it came to dealing with the colonists. "I'd argue I'm far from a leading example of how to live with hunters, but I'll be right there to reign you in if you get too Alpha with people." Joe didn't exactly count since that was his father, and he wasn't in Vitae very long before coming to the pack. The average person thought differently to hunter's for the most part, but the colony's inhabitants were also a little different to the average person. It was a difficult situation to think about more or less, and more often than not Chase gave up on the thought process before he gave himself a headache.

"We trust Vitae's council not to turn on us, we trust some people more than others. The majority of people we can trust to stay civil, but we can't trust everyone." His tone was rather neutral as he gave his opinion from the outside. Thomas was a painful reminder of just that, and he glanced in the direction of where the man was being held to see that he was being prepped for the move. Chase had meant to be at least a part of that, to make sure he didn't try anything but he'd just try and be their for handing the hunter over to Vitae's security. "And we can't trust Vitae to keep us safe from those few who might not be a fan of us being neighbors, so we do that ourselves." That was his opinion for the time being, the man let out a gentle huff before turning to look at Emile. "So, you wanna be the first one's out or are we bringing up the rear?" He'd asked, jerking a thumb at the Toyota behind them. Chase suspected the Alpha wanted to wait until everyone had cleared out before leaving, and on the other hand it would likely be a good idea for he and Emile to be among the first to arrive at Vitae's gates.

Chester had been preparing for the point Thor made about Conquest. He was a loose cannon. But, then again, so was Chester himself. That's why Conquest was his first choice for this little reunion he was planning. Well, that plus some personality and psychology flaws he knew he could manipulate in his fellow horseman, but primarily the loose cannon thing. Opening his mouth to answer the Odinson, the Horseman was cut off by Brendan, who made a good case for him. It was actually a bit of a relief to here them take his word seriously. Not many people did anymore. Admittedly, he had been bumming around for a century or so, which hadn't done his rep any good, but that was a side benefit for this whole plan too.
With Brendan's words apparently bringing people around, Chester was impressed. The threat from Thor was to be expected and would have been more worrying if he had said nothing.
"Well, Lex has been with demons for the past 70+ years." Chaos replied to the old god. "That hole might be nice compared to what he's been through lately."
Hmm. Maybe it was time to put people at their ease again.
"Besides, Conquest has a code of honor. You help save him, he's going to be the one to enforce paying off the debt, not me. It's all part of a web to keep the 'loose cannon' from going off script. If this was just about freeing him, I could have done that on my own."
Chester hoped that was enough to answer Thor's challenge about his own loss of power without seeming overly confrontational. The Norse god was spot on, but Chaos' pride wouldn't allow him to admit it. If he had done this before his fight with Death, he'd have only pulled in the humans for fun. Now, he needed them as insurance. Speaking of insurance.
"Oh, and good thought on the spells." Chester said with a wink at Eli. "Though don't be too worried. Lex has been used as a power source for demons for a while, so likely has little power in reserve to require heavy duty spells. Plus, some demonic birdies have told me that his current handlers are some lower level demons hoping to use him to bolster there standing. They spring for some heavy duty spells, that could get some princely attention, which they don't want."

Brendan frowned, visibly displeased with Thors decision to share how he felt in regards to Ginny joining the party. "I speak about the fact that she's a member of his colony who is actively training to participate in whatever may come and the fact that demons don't pose much threat to her: she's a Djinn after all, even inexperienced makes her stronger, faster and better than some of our most experienced hunters." He paused as he heard a grunt from Mackenzie, turning his glare towards the petite hunter expecting a fight.

"He's not wrong." She muttered, still reclined in her chair and half asleep. "I doubt demons would even know what to do with her, and from what I've read they're next to impossible to kill without being prepared."

Slightly startled, Brendan turned his attention back to the group. "It's decided then, William, Elijah, Ginny, Chester and Thor. You'll head out as soon as you're prepared; Chester has made it clear that the urgency is high enough this shouldn't be delayed too long. We're not sure how long the information he's given us will be good." He raised a hand and waved forward Evelyn and Arthur. "Director Brimely, welcome. I trust that you have some news for us? How are your members settling in?"

Evelyn nodded stiffly, giving a polite smile. "We're settled quite well, thank you Councilmen. Our presence here isn't of great news but I think we might have something of assistance for your on going mission." She glanced to Arthur who nodded and turned to stride away, headed back towards the doors. "My assistance will bring it here shortly, in the mean time I need to direct your attention to the girl that was retrieved by your hunters. Her name is Amethyst Koeing and she is the daughter of a former associate of ours. We've determined that she has been possessed by a inter-dimensional primordial entity. To what end, we don't have an answer, however we are aware that while she is the host she seems to be a willing candidate, now. We have the means to subdue the entities powers; it would make her more or less as powerful as a natural witch - as we've theorized, however while speaking with the girl it became evident that she was regretful of the lives she had taken, she was not remorseful of her actions."

She paused, considering. "This is new territory for myself and our faction; which is to say our procedures for this sort of happenstance are certainly far and away from what yourselves may consider. In this case I have come here to seek council from our allies on how we should like to proceed with this issue."

Emile rolled his eyes as Chase made attempts to side step. "Non, mais you know how to live wit human - human that know what you are, oui?" He knew Chase would never respond but at least Emile wanted to clarify that he and his pack mates would need assistance with living closer to humans. Some of his pack were married to them, lived among them within Borseti and had never had any issues acclimatizing to society but most of those that remained, himself included, had opted to live outside of the city proper, on their own territory and away from regular human interaction. He followed where Chase had looked, Thomas being loaded into the back seat of Brody's car, under the watchful eye of Malcolm. He nodded as Chase provided his opinions as to who they could or may trust, naturally adding his skepticism that not all could be trusted.

He sighed heavily, knowing the next few days - hell, the next few hours, were going to be stressful. "We go first." He said simply, he wanted to be first through the gates, the first the colonist saw (should any be there to witness). He wanted to make certain that they knew exactly who he was and who he represented, in hope that should there be any backlash it would only be directed at himself and save his pack members from any more pain. He nodded towards the drivers seat. "Okay, we go, chauffeur." He grinned, winking at Chase before briskly striding around the side of the car and out of reach from Chase.

Elijah chuckled, giving Thor a nod at the promise of potentially seeing Mjolnir in action. "I look forward to it." It would be a relief to hunt alongside a pagan god for once... instead of being hunted by one. Chester was quick to assuage any concerns he had regarding binding spells. "Good to know," he remarked thoughtfully -- that was one less thing to worry about. Complications were never welcome in any demon hunt, low-level or otherwise.

William offered Ginny a sympathetic smile as she expressed concern at not having received any divine visions lately. "You're doing fine, Gin," he remarked quietly. He considered offering the girl an "out" should she not want to go along with Brendan's plan of participating in the hunt, but resolved to leave that for later if only to prevent another argument. In any case, his attention was taken by Evelyn stepping forward to brief them on the status of Amethyst.

Will barely suppressed a grimace at the news, remaining silent for a moment before speaking up. "We've seen what she -- or at least the thing controlling her -- is capable of 'in the wild'. As much as I hate to say it, we can't afford to let her out of that cage anytime soon. Not until we're sure she's free of it."

Eli nodded before adding, "We won't make any headway on that front until we discover exactly what the thing is that's pulling the strings. And this isn't just some demon or monster: there are no lore books to delve into or accounts to rely on."

1554307383108.png

Thor looked at Chester before giving him a crooked smile "If that is the case I feel like we're bringing a battle axe to a fist fight here, I on my own wiped out a building containing plenty of stronger demons mere hours ago, they are in for an unpleasant surprise I daresay.". The Deity listened respectfully as Brendan came to the defence of the Djinn, he harbored no ill will for the girl and was reluctant to hurt her feelings "As I am sure you know training is one thing and battling for your life is something else entirely. And even the weakest demons are naturally stronger as well as savage than Djinns, particularly relatively small Djinn girls. Simple Black-Eyed Demons have been known to wipe out entire vampire nests on their own. Not to mention that they are nigh-invulnerable to someone of her strength. As our foe seem to be relatively weak, and not only I, but Will and even Chaos is coming along it shouldn't be a problem, but I think it is worth remembering for another time."

Having spoken enough of Ginny he turned to Evelyn "As for Amethyst, I will consult Odin, but I can't guarantee that he will know what to do. If worst comes to worst I am quite sure that I can destroy her, especially with Mjölnir. However I'd prefer not having to try and I hope it won't come to that."

The Thundergod raised his hand casually and lightning began to flicker between his fingers as he looked at it, with a small smile he added as he looked back at those seated at the table "In am ready to depart when you are."

Well… this conversation took a couple interesting turns. To an extent, Thor is very much correct. Ginny has spent years on the run from humans. Partially out of self preservation, but also because she didn’t want to hurt them.

That said, she thinks she’s gotten quite a bit stronger. Certainly braver and more confident in herself. And she thinks she can do this. She has to learn to fight demons eventually, and it’s better to learn on an offensive mission than defensive, at least from her point of view. There will be a plan, and others will be there to keep her grounded. And like Thor said, this will be like using a grenade on a snake. Complete overkill.

She doesn’t really know what to make of the situation with the new girl, so she just takes the time to think about the mission. He said they’ll leave soon. She has little time. Not enough to visit the tattoo shop. Maybe sharpie will work?

Chase scowled lightly at the jab, watching Emile escape around the vehicle and just shook his head before walking over and slipping into the drivers seat. Once inside he pulled out his phone and started texting, "Would probably be best to give them a heads up." He told Emile while eyes stayed on the screen before hitting send. Hope everyone is aware of the small caravan on it's way to Vitae's front door. The text going to Will since he was the one setting all of this up on Vitae's end. It wouldn't exactly be a good thing if the guards at the gate weren't fully aware that part of the pack was going to be showing up and allowed entry. Not to mention the colonies inhabitants completely unaware they'd be neighboring with the wolves that had recently held them as momentary prisoners for a while.

With that out of the way he dropped the phone in the cup-holder between the seats and started the vehicle on it's way. Making sure not to go in any particular hurry so that the other vehicles had time to start moving and keep up to some extent. "So how's the not texting or calling Morgan thing going?" He asked curiously, wondering just how hard Emile was fighting the urge to check in on her even if it was a more easygoing mission so to speak. From what he gathered this was the first time Morgan had really gone solo with anything, without a pack member at the very least tagging along. Now that the nightly dues were over and the Alpha wasn't distracted anymore he imagined the internal mother hen turmoil potentially going on in the other mans head. Despite the fact that given the time, Adelaide and Morgan should still be on the road with many hours ahead of them before reaching their destination.

Brendan nodded as the small troop seemed ready enough to get on their way. "Good, keep your phones handy and keep our command center updated frequently - I don't want another New York situation happening again." He stood, stretching and turning his attention to Evelyn. "As for the girl, I have to agree with the others: she can't be freed until we are certain that she is out of harms way - and can't harm anyone else." He reclaimed the dossier from Elijah and William, intent on turning it over to their agents running the command center so they could be informed on what to expect. He turned towards Mackenzie, nodding off in her chair. "Is there anything else, Miss Prophet?"

Mac frowned then glared at the Councilmen. "Not yet; I need to talk to some people about ... things I've seen. I don't really think they'd appreciate being talked about behind their backs." Several of them in this room alone. "But if we're doing I'm going to go home to bed."

"Ahh, no you're not." Ash cut up, standing as Mac did. "You're going to come to to clinic with me - looks like you've been on a bender, and smells like it too. You can sleep there while I work." Mac looked as though she was going to seek help from Will but Ash cut her off. "He's not going to save you from this: he let this happen, for whatever reason, and he's lucky he's leaving otherwise I'd be giving him a piece of my mind, let's go."

Evelyn waited, patiently, as the Council seemed to be finishing up with their morning meeting. She knew the envoy was about to leave but she glanced to the door in time to see Arthur returning at a jog, a brief case at hand. "Perfect timing." She mused before turning to those readying to depart. "We have this for you to take along with you: " She motioned to Arthur who set down the case on the table and opened it, revealing the golden egg shaped device. "It's a Hyperbolic Pulse Generator." As though that meant anything. "Keep it on hand, and if you're in a tight spot simply shift the patterns to match along the edge and it will immediately expel a demon - or angel, from it's host. It's a one time use, however, so do be certain to use it effectively."

Emile groaned at the question, giving Chase a side eye as the Toyota started its way out of the campsite and down the main road towards the colony. "Horrible." He grumbled, taking the time to remove his own phone from his pocket to check his messages - none, before stuffing it back into his pocket. "At least she bring Brody wit her." He said, though despite the statement he didn't feel any better about it. Brody had been a former hunter, nearly twenty years before, but he trusted the Pack Guardian to keep Morgan and Adelaide as safe as he could. "Mais, I still want to call her." He shrugged. "She right, I need to trust her but she still mon bébé, still une petite girl who need to be take care of."

He glanced to Chase, a smirk appearing on his face. "Don't tell her I say that, she kill us both."

William nodded to Brendan's instructions, fighting the urge to wince at the mention of New York. He knew that Ashley-May's tone meant trouble for him, but he was comforted by it all the same: he knew that Ash would be taking care of Mac in his absence. As he turned to make for the doors, he saw Arthur entering to present a "show-and-tell" for those assembled.

Elijah arched an eyebrow at the unassuming device, but didn't doubt for a second its efficacy. "That's a new toy," he remarked. "I see you lot have been busy while I was here in the States." He worked hard to keep his tone neutral. He didn't want to appear bitter... though he also didn't want to acknowledge that the Men of Letters were already more than pulling their weight when it came to contributing resources and expertise to Vitae. With a quiet nod to Arthur and Evelyn both, he took the case from the man, tucking it under his arm.

Will spoke up next, "Gather your things, everyone. We'll meet near the gates in twenty minutes." He turned, making his way over to Brendan's side to speak to the elder. "One last order of business," he said quietly. "The Pack is on the road, headed this way. I contacted the gate crew this morning, but you may want to double up on that." He had already discussed the arrangement regarding the Pack staying inside Vitae's walls with the man last night. Brendan had been... less than enthused about the news. Though Will got the impression that Brendan had been annoyed more that Will had pursued this course of action unilaterally without consulting himself and the others, rather than the idea itself.

Meanwhile, Elijah glanced at the Thundergod, "Do you think you can help us with transport, Thor?"

Ginny just continues to watch the situation, trying to throw together some kind of strategy for fighting demons. The others will have to handle exorcisms, since there’s no way she can memorize that amount of Latin in twenty minutes. Does djinn venom work on demons? Who knows. This is one of those situations that there really hasn’t been documentation on.

As Will says it’s time to get going, she nods, and gets up. “I’ll probably be in the library if anyone needs me before we meet up.” She says, and proceeds to sprint out of there. So much to do, hopefully she has enough time. She goes to her apartment to grab her knife and gun first, not sure what good they’ll do, before running to the library like she said she would.

She doesn’t have to look far to find a book with an anti-possession seal, since it’s pretty commonly used. The problem will be copying it onto her skin with a sharpie. It’s not something she can afford to screw up.

Chase smiled whilst keeping his eyes on the road ahead as his passenger grumbled his displeasure. Chase chuckled, it was very amusing to hear Emile speak about Morgan that way all things considered. Though it was a small surprise to hear Brody was with them, to be fair he hadn't seen the man in a while but hadn't given it much thought. Chase gave Emile a small accusing glance, "You didn't send him to go with her did you?" He asked curiously, not putting it past the man. As much as it was good to hear that Brody was accompanying the ladies, if the Alpha played a part in it and Morgan found out. Well frankly Emile would be a dead man for sure. "They're still on the road most likely, but I'll tell you what. Later when we are settled in if she still hasn't been in touch, I'll ask Ash to check in with Adelaide." The assumption would be that it would look completely normal and not like the back channels were being used for Morgan to be checked up on by her Uncle.

Thor smiled at Elijah's question "Don't worry, I can take you all with me. I'm not quite in the mood for chasing butterflies while waiting for you to make your way to our destination using automobiles.". He then turned to Brendan with a look that was almost dark "I will think nothing of that comment as you are quite unfamiliar with us gods, but there are first and foremost no Greeks with us, nor anyone else but me for that matter. We won't have another New York, I will see to that personally."

Then he realised something and turned back to Elijah "Before I forget, I think it's time to keep my end of the bargain. I won't need it when I have Mjolnir in my current state, but it's about time you got familiar with my sword if you're to wield it. While it's purpose was to slay dragons, it is still a divine weapon and capable of killing mere demons." The old god rose from his seat and made his way toward Elijah, and as he walked the air around his hand began to shimmer, and the blade in an ornate scabbard materialised in his hand. As he stretched out his arm and offered the blade to Elijah he added with a smile that showed that what he said was only half in jest "If you lose it I'll force you with me to my next family gathering and have you explain yourself to my kin - in person."

"This is going must better than expected." Chester thought, a little bit of a smile playing across his lips.
True, bringing Thor along did make things less interesting as far as the fight was concerned, but it might also help impress Lex. It would be nice to see the smug bastard impressed.
"Well, if your interested in more of a challenge, I know a few other places I wouldn't mind seeing get some hammer time." Chaos teased, giving Thor a mischievous grin.
Giving Will a double thumbs up as an indicator he was ready, Chester sidled over to get a better look at the blade Thor was offering Elijah.
"Wear nose plugs." He added in, sounding amused. "Halitosis and BO were the true weapon of the Norse gods that inspired fear among their enemies."
