Speaking with Laiba would have been an interesting -- even amusing -- experience for Adelaide, had things not taken a sudden turn when the angel asked if she needed to "remove" Morgan and Brody from the vehicle. As Morgan spoke up in defense of the two of them and looked to her, Addy quickly nodded in agreement. "These two wolves are both my companions. They are here by my will," she reassured Laiba, though the angel's face betrayed no emotion whatsoever. Addy cleared her throat adding, "Thank you for watching out for us. How are you going to help us get to Boston?"
William nodded tersely at Gaveel's answer, not expecting much else from her. What she said next had him frowning, however, as much from her tone as the statement itself. The normally stoic angel was almost hesitant as she remarked that Heaven's gates would be closing soon. Will wasn't sure what that meant for the rest of them and before he had a chance to ask, he turned to see Mac holding out his angrily-buzzing phone toward him. Will took it, glancing at the screen with a sigh.
He glanced back at Gaveel and Micah apologetically. "We have to go. Emergency council meeting. Thank you for the update," Will finished, somewhat awkwardly as he returned to the car, sitting down alongside Mac to fire up the Beast.
Elijah managed to tactfully ignore Brendan's glare as he and Ashley-May entered. Elijah didn't recognize the man Brendan introduced as Chester, though he gave him a respectful nod of greeting all the same. Approaching the table, his eyes scanned several lines of text inside the dossier along with the accompanying visual aids. It was certainly thorough. He nodded at Brendan's remark, "It certainly sounds promising," Eli remarked politely before glancing up at Chester. "Can I ask what your stake in this is, Mister--"
He didn't have a chance to finish as Thor materialized before them -- always one for an entrance. As it happened, the deity quickly revealed Chester's identity... only creating more questions for the bemused hunter. "'Horseman'?" Elijah echoed flatly. "As in, one of the Four?" He kept his eyes on the two, even as the door opened to admit William and Mackenzie behind him.
