Our Setting

The date is October 12, 2017 in the small town of Moorewater, located in southern Missouri. The town itself is not special. With downtown consisting of only a few shops and restaurants, and sports from the local high school being the main source of entertainment, this town would be just another blip on the map. But what makes Moorewater special is not what it has, nor its location or the people that live in it, but the local abandoned asylum nearby and the urban legends that pertain to it.

Historical Facts

Built and ran in the 1930s, its official name is the Pine Valley Mental Institution, but most of the locals call it "Insanity", mainly to spook any outsiders that may come through. Now Pine Valley has a history, one of horrible deeds and experimentation on its residents all of which has never been proven, and those of which even the state denies, but its troubled past raises suspicions. Back in its operating days, at the beginning creation of Moorewater, the happenings at Insanity had caught the attention of the locals, who had eventually decided to pry into exactly what the institution was doing. But nobody ever got the chance to find out.
In the middle of the night on May 5, 1939 the Treatment Wing of Pine Valley suddenly caught fire and burned most of that section of the hospital, taking a number of staff and patients with it. A few weeks later the hospital was emptied and shut down, the facilities moved and taking all of Pine Valleys secrets with it before shutting its halls in behind a chain locked door.

The Legend

But legend has it that its not completely empty. Everybody in Moorewater knows the tales of ghosts that still roam the halls, claims of orbs and wails coming from the hospital in the dead of night or spectral figures peering our from behind the dust covered windows. It even got the attention of different ghost hunting organizations and TV shows, all who went in and got their footage of cheap scares before coming out unscathed and moving on. And as the days passed the legends became more stories to scare children, I mean surely it is just an old condemned building right?

Our Story
-
You are all students who are attending Moorewater High, a close knit school where everybody has heard of everybody else. There's one particular figure, a vixen by the name of Vex Farivan (Played by the ever sexy
Grayfox
) . A punk and adrenaline junky, known for cussing out teachers, skipping school, and doing dangerous and dumb shit constantly. But rumor has it she has come up with an idea, and is looking for a group of people "brave" enough to break into the asylum at night to take a look around. The rumor, of course, turned out to be true, so are you brave enough to venture into Insanity?
Eyyyy interest check for a horror rp! Characters can be either anthro, human, or whatever cat girl thing you want in between. But, I have to say, your characters are all normal high schools with no particular special abilities, and if you don't play your cards right or make smart decisions, they could meet their death at Pine Valley. This is GM'd by both Grayfox and your host, DrBezendrine.
Disclaimer; Your characters may die in this adventure, but only by player consent. It wouldn't be fun if we randomly decided to give your character a slice and dice without your approval. Also it wouldn't be that fun if no one ever died. Max character limit is 3 and mx amount of players will be 8 to prevent too much confusion!
