The brass didn't do what it was supposed to and that was because the man was so strong however seeing that they were moving based on Crystax he pulled them off his hands and crumpled them into a small ball that he flicked at Crystax, that moved faster than a bullet and was aimed for his stomach.

He then causes the ground underneath the man to open up into a sinkhole, just to see how effective drops would be in dealing with the brute

The brute sank into his ankles and sighed before letting out a quiet curse and then clapping his hands at Crystax breaking the sound barrier with the force of it and easily sending Crystax into a wall. The brute would then jump with enough force to launch himself at Crystax.
