Fandom Superheros and Villains

"Stupid thing doesn't start without a bit of motivation. Hold on." He held out his hand and a dark liquid switled around it. The liquid turned into electricity and amd he jump started the car with it.
Quinn's eyes widened. "Wow. That's impressive. What else can you do?"

"Why does it matter to you so much what people think of me? Last time I checked we aren't really friends."
"I don't know I was just trying to be friendly..." she replied, it was true she as well did find him a bit interesting but she wasn'tgoing to tell him that. "Look I'm sorry....ill leave you alone....you can go back to you nap or whatever....besides next class is about to start" she said getting up "Oh also Kaleb....I haven't forgot that I owe you.....so just let me know...." she added picking up her backpack leaving the library.

"Alright. After school then."

"I can build things. Tranaform my body and other things. I can mimic powers. I'm not sure if there's a limit to these abilitiee besides my own imagination."
"Amazing. How did you decide you didn't want to be a villain? I mean, did you ever think about it?"

He looked at her. "Well... I know what its like to have important things taken awau from you. I don't want people to feel that way ever."
Quinn felt for him. She understood that feeling. "Well, that's enough questions for now. Sorry for asking so many."

He looked at her. "Don't worry about it." He said as he started driving. "Its a fair question. There's a version of me from another world here. He is evil. I could have ended up like him without my friends."

"Really? Interesting. You must have good friends." She wrote down a side note.

"A few and one really good one. He got his powers in the same accident I did. But for him it was an activation of a dormant gene." He said. "If you're article is really about heroes... I can tell you my start. It may help people see what makes a hero a hero."

Quinn's face lit up. "That would be great. As long as you want to. You don't have to do that." As she said it, she had her pad and pencil ready to write.

"When I was about nine I was diagnosed with a terminal inoperable brain tumor." He said. "I had maybe six years tops. My best friend Sam and I made the most of that time exploring the city and playing video games together. One day the Doctor calls my parents and says that they discovered something that might save. All three of us had to sign consent forms to do it so that should have been a red flag. My parents convinved me to sign. They were desperate to save me I guess." He said. "Anyway. The procedure ended up being that I was injected with a dose of alien techno-organic nanomachines which the Doctors had been studying and thought would be able to remove my tumor without surgery. They did but they also did a lot more. They fused themselves to me. Combined to my body right down to the DNA." His face fell as though he was struggling to tell the next part of the story. "The resulting fusion made me unstable and... I exploded. You might have heard of it. How a reaearch hospital went up in an explosion six years ago leaving hundereds of dead and only two survivors... My friend and I were the survivors. He keeps saying its not my fault, that I couldn't have controlled it the way do now. But there's a level of guilt that never really goes away in the face of something like that. I don't know if its survivor's guilt or if I just blame myself." He shook his head. "Anyway, maybe I help people as a way to make up for the accident. To atone for the deaths I caused. Maybe its something more. Heroes are generally made up of two parts and I'm no different. We're made of one part tragedy and one part hope. Many of us just want to keep others from losing what we've lost. For me... Its my parents. Friends. And a whole building of patients and the Doctors who wanted to help them."
