Maddy nods. "That's good...they killed Medic..I hate those two.they are going to pay." She tried to get up but Hunter stopped her and handed her a mug. "Nope, not right now. For now just chill. Your mom been worried since they brought you back. Your dad went to pick up some groceries for us. He filled us in."
Haka sat down and closed his eyes activating his nen technique creating a dome around them that stretched to half the warehouse. He sat that way for 30 minutes before opening his eyes "come in let's go "
"Right. We're up to speed on things. As for you, you're better off resting at least until you're back at full strength." Tyson added.
"Yeah guess your right. " Maddy said looking down. Hunter frowned and put a hand on her shoulder. " You weren't in control..don't go blaming yourself for all of it. "
"Right. Blaming yourself will only stress you out more." He said.
"Why are you sorry. Won't the cloning machine just bring him back?" Peter asked. "No." Jeremy said. "Not this time."
Maddy nods. "I know"
Eris silently stares at the television.
"On the bright side, you got to wake up to breakfast in bed. I'm almost jealous." Tyson said with a smirk.
"Guess that is a bright side " she laughed. Hunter smiled. "Here I got pancakes"
"She makes really good pancakes, and no, I'm not saying that out of bias." He says and laughs.
"Yeah I know she makes good pancakes." Maddy said. Hunter grabbed a plate of pancakes and handed it to Maddy. She then woke up Venus. "Aunty get up." Venus woke up and saw Maddy was awake. "You ok?" Maddy just nodded.
Venus got a text from Jeremy asking if she'd like to say a few words at his funeral.
Tyson casually swipes a pancake and eats it.
"There's plenty of pancakes you can grab one." Hunter said. Venus saw the text from Jeremy and replied that she would.
"I love when you talk food to me." Tyson said comically on his way to getting more pancakes.
Hunter laughed "guess I'll have to make more." Maddy smiled as she ate.
"That would be lovely!" He said. He sees Maddy smile. "You look happy again. Good."
"you two are just really cute together." She said.
"Huh!?" Tyson steps back and covers his face with a pancake so that Maddy doesn't see him blush, but he's already eaten half of it, so it's not as effective. "Uhh yeah thanks. We complement each other pretty well."
"yeah you really do. " Maddy said. Hunter laughed. "Yeah I caught a good one."
"She sure did." Tyson agreed. "She caught me slipping, but considering how things have turned out, I couldn't be happier that she did. I wouldn't even be where I am now if it wasn't for her, so I'd say I'M the one that caught the good one."
"Good" Maddy nods.
Tyson finishes the pancake. "That's why I can't stop thinking about taking down whoever trying to take out your family. I know we'll stop them. It's just a matter of when."
