There were all kinds of people around. The Fantastic Four, J. Jonah Jameson (for all anyone else knew WAS Jameson) most of the X-Men and a good chunk of Avengers. Most of them in their civillian having some connection to Peter Parker or Eris Pettigrew rather than Spider-Man. The mercs were all working catering and Jackson was playing a slow love ballad as people talked. There was still some time before it started so Peter went to greet her.
