"As if I would talk to you, Spell-flinger!" Straum barked, trying and failing to force his powered through the asphalt that now wrapped around every part of Zeke he might be able to reach from here. Then he screamed as the asphalt began to glow like coal on fire.
"You've mastered Pain, Straum, not punishment." Zeke snarled as the man screamed out in agony and then exploded in his hand. From the center of his body, a blob of red energy vanished into the fabric of space-time like water running down a sink drain. The same instantly happened to the woman in the blue bubble and Zeke turned to his newest ally.
"Those two? Weren't from around here...and neither am I, as a matter of fact." Zeke said as he drew a pack of cigarettes and light from his pocket, taking one out, lighting it, and puffing on it through shadow under his hood. "You can call me Spellcaster, for now at least. And before you ask, no they aren't dead. Well, they're super dead HERE...but they've been forced back to where they belong."

"Yea I can sense it. This reality has even worse quantum fractures than my own...something I didn't realize was possible without the fabric of space-time being completely ripped to shreds. It nice to end up in a reality where I seem to have the full gamut of my powers for once, actually." said Zeke as he took another long drag on his cancer stick. "I didn't catch your name, by the way."

"Whoa! So that's what that feels like from the other side." Zeke yelped as he turned to the new comer, scratched the back of his head and smiled nervously. "Boy I wasn't trying to attract this much attention."

"You see, the way my reality works, I get auto-sucked back in once I've cleared out my baddies out of a foreign reality like this one. The fact that I'm still here means those two small timers I just sent packing weren't alone. You feel anything else out of the ordinary? Or at least could either of you gimme the cliff notes on the rules of this reality?"

Zeke closed his eyes, focusing his mind on the unique quantum frequency of this new comer. Once he had it firmly locked in his mind he opened his eyes again, the glow his companions could see having now turned from red to blue. "Lead the way then please."
