Peter gripped his fist. "It was nice meeting you." He squeezed from his throat. He jumped away and began swing. Perfect, he had made himself an enemy to the whole country in the eyes of the public by fighting the avengers and in the end the reason he did ended up being pointless.

Minerva woke up and glared at her. "Why did you do that?" Maddy sighed. "Still on truce and because your family."

But he had learned more in the last 12 hours than he had the entire time he had done this. First Gwen, then MJ, now Vera. Being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man wasn't going to stop crime. They just escape, or serve time, or bail out and then do it again. It was time for a harsher take. Starting with a new costume and alias.
