When she walked in, they noticed that she walked straight to it, as if she were being drawn to it. The closer they got, the more she started to be in a trance. Whatever this mysterious gem was, it appears to have her hypnotized. She just stares at it in its display case.
He then found she had disappeared. In her place being slammed was a bag of cement. "Wanna try again?" She said hanging from the ceiling upside down.
"Maybe we should leave." Zhang said
"Time to go Eris." He said
"Honestly I don't like to fight. I enjoy sleeping out in the open but this is a city so I would like to stay in one of those rooms for a place to sleep please." she said politely.
"Technically we are in the suburbs but yes, this is a city. We do have a room for you to sleep in. Now then... any refreshments?" Petunia said
Eris doesn't hear them. "...really? For me? I really earned this? Thank you." She says to the diamond. Suddenly, she starts to reach for the case.
Zhang quickly grabs Eris and pulls her back "Are you alright?" He asks
He raised an eyebrow "Do demons frequently leave the afterlife to enter Earth? Is there some sort of way to control the flow?"
Before she finished talking, spikes erupted from the ground coming from every direction at break neck speed aimed right for her.
Peter pulled her back. "Eris!"
He could tell by the look in her eyes that something was wrong. Whatever that jewel was, it had managed to hypnotize Eris and it had a strong hold on her due to how close she was to it.
Peter grabbed her hand and pulled her out.of the musem.
She sunk into the ceiling and the spikes immediately broke the roof, letting the sunlight in.
"It's the jewel... I think it's magic." Zhang replied
When they got outside, Eris suddenly snapped back to her senses. She looks at them confused. "What's going on? Where are you guys taking me?"
"Away from the muesem." He said.
"Far away from the museum" Zhang replied
She looks at them confused. She had no clue that she had been hypnotized by the diamond. "Really? Is Rage in there? Shouldn't we be fighting him?"
Except there was no sunlight, only unnatural darkness. “Oh dear, you made me give away the surprise too early.” His smile widened.
"No there was a gem you couldn't take your eyes off it."
"It was the gem." He replied
"Shouldn't it be morning?" Susan said with a yawn behind him.
At a lightning fast speed, he bashed her in the side of the head from behind her, she had been looking at a shadow clone “If you actually knew how to use your gift properly you’d know exactly what’s going on.”
"Oh. Wow. I don't even remember-ohhhhh! Was it the one on the poster? I remember looking at it and..." She suddenly looks pale and scared. "...no. It can't be that. The Thief's Purgatory is just a myth."
"What?" He asked.
She held the side of her head after being hit before chuckling "Not like it matters. When in darkness, I can't be hurt. My organs turn into shadow. And your powers nullify in sunlight." She smiled "In other words, this is nothing but a stalemate."
Hunter takes his phone. "So not happening."
