Peter watched keeping a close eye on mainframe. He had set up a hidden camera in that room that was taking pictures. It was 1. Vera's alibi and 2. His way of making Mainframe known.
Zadock began to finish his incantation "...and let the shackles fall upon his soul and bind!" With that Jace could feel shackles grip his neck wrists and ankles as magic restraints began to weight him down and restrict his movement.
"Da mihi celeritate, ut quod celeri sicut flumen aquas validas" He chanted. His speed increased though he was still slower than he would have been normally. "Ut sciat se hosti cladem iacturam." Zadock suddenly began to feel more tired and weak.
Zadcok sighed and hopped back as 10 ragmen came up around him to protect him. The weights in Jace got heavier as he used magic.
Jace struggled to stand. He he closed his eyes and cast a counterspell on the weight. He sighed and looked up at the Ragmen. "Freeze." Every single one was encased in a block of ice. "Gotta say I'm rather enjoying this." Jace said. "Through all the cuts and bruises this is pretty fun."
Peter walked inside. "Hm..." He said.
The weights were unaffected by the counter spell but while the freezing spell was cast his weights increased. The Ragmen were frozen solid but they began to break free as if the ice wasn't a big deal.
Peter looked at her. It was impossible to see her like this. "It'll be okay Vera." He said. He punched her in the stomach. That plus all the pain she was already in knocked her out.
Jace stood up straight. "Think think think think." He said.
Zadcok was breathing heavily as he was unused to being weakened seeing as his immortality kept him in perfect shape. He began to draw his aura in around him whole 3 of the ragmen had escaped the ice and ran at Jace.
Jace pulled a third dagger from his pocket. "Oh boy." He said.
The Ragmen moved with inhuman speed and made it up to him in moments one charging dead at him with his shoulder down to drop Jace while one came from the side and the other stood ready.
"What?!" Peter asked. The room seemed to close in on Peter. "You bastard..." He grabbed Mainframe's throat. "I... will make you... suffer!" (NOOOOOOOOOO)
Jace panted his less than spectacular fitness taking it's tole. "Last ditch effort." He said. He unleashed all of his magic power at once destroying the ragmen and blasing Zadock with energy.
The Ragmen moved with inhuman speed and made it up to him in moments one charging dead at him with his shoulder down to drop Jace while one came from the side and the other stood ready.
Zadcok crossed his hands over his torso and he took off his ring. Immediately there was a ear equal amount of magic being cast back at Jace. The energy if not contained would kill anyone living that made contact with the energy. It also gave energy to all the ghosts within 3 blocks and caused them all to flock to the arena as they fought their way to Jace and Zadock. Zadcok was groaning in pain as he was glad his immortality potion was in his system otherwise he might've died a few seconds into this.
The energy reached the edge of the arena and disappeared. There was a force field protecting the audience.
Vanessa stops to get a few snacks and a large drink before she walks into the arena and sits in the front row.
Dusk soon sits besides Vanessa as she had a large drink too.
