Eris waves as he drops. She looks at Batman. "Uhhh, was I supposed to drop too?"

"No. He's just bait. You have a different job." He said. "If you both show up then they'll get even more suspicious. They probably already know I'm here. Your my ace."

"Of course." The driver makes a phone call "We will drive you to a halfway point and another driver will meet you there." He said "Hop in."

Yeah." He got in. His Spider-Sense kept nagging him. Something was going on. Something that Bruce wasn't telling him.

The note said "No powers unless I say so. Batman is following us. Destroy this note." Makoto looked at Peter hit the ground "OH NO!" The crew looked at Peter hit the floor "Driver... should we see how he is?" Sae asked. The driver put the jeep in reverse and immediately pulled up to Peter "Young sir. Are you hurt?" Makoto said in his disguise. His voice was disguised thanks to Sae's magic.

They began driving back towards town "So... tell me my boy, do you remember what happened that led you to falling from such a height?" Makoto asked "I'm just out here with my family enjoying the African wilderness."

"That sounds like some of the human traffickers. When they fly in, they examine their catch. The good ones they sell... the bad ones... they feed to the lions." The driver said "It's awful. Interpol is trying what they can but most organizations don't care what happens here. I remember coming across some lions eating a couple of human bodies a few years ago. The lies I had to tell the kids on that trip." He shuddered. Edward hugged Makoto, showing fear.

I'm assuming that at least one of you knows what's going on?" He asked. He kept it vague. He figured among these people was the leader of Batman was so sure as to drop right on top of them.

"I do." The driver said "I live here after all. Seen a lot... and seen too much."

"Besides didn't you see the news. Five months ago he sent an army of alien enhanced heroes against Edgewood." He said. That was what the news said and the general public still believed it. Spider-Man always had a bad rep. He hoped that if someone he knew was here in disguise they'd slip up and correct him. (Throw me a bone?)

(Little things. Mostly it was the fact that his Spider-Sense wouldn't stop bugging him about something feeling familiar. It was between the two actually talking. Joey/Makato was one of the few that really respects Spider-Man as a hero and Peter knows about his belief in God. Plus Crusades and God kind of go hand in hand. I can change to suspecting rather than knowing if you like but Batman did also, without warning, drop him on top of them)
