"There you go. Now you're doing the right thing." Gerald says. He holds his hand around his ear once more. "Come on. Let's hear it, and don't half-ass it either, or I'll cut him in half...and we wouldn't want thaaaat would we?"
The golem gets into an argument with the wall and not a single coherent word is spoken.
"Please let him go...I'll be your apprentice " she said. Eric looked at her. "Hunter you don't have to." Hunter looked at the ground. "Yes I do.. please Gerald let him go."
"No. I'm not saying that all." Peter said. "I was referring to Batmaaan..." He looked at the hero glaring at him. "I'll stop talking now."
"Don't tell me calm down! Bomb in chest! Puny human blows up too!" It says before slamming a fist down at Jace.
"Hey. What if. I took out the bomb?" Jace asked.
Gerald smiles and takes a deep breath. "Ahhhh music to my ears." He looks at Nyx. "See? Such a beautiful sight." He lets Eric go and shoves him away. "You're free to go. Run along, kid. The adults are talking now."
"Human take out bomb? What trick. How human do that?" It asks.
"Magic." He said. "Or more accurately a spacial displacement spell."
The golem looks confused as it has no clue what any of that means.
Nyx had her hand over the wound on her stomach. "She's lying." Eric ran off as soon as he could. Hunter raised up her gun to shoot Gerald as a final attempt but a shadow wrapped around the gun, moving it down around she pulled the trigger. "Ah!" Hunter shouted as she shot herself in the knee. She fell to the floor. Nyx smirked. "She was only telling you what you wanted to hear."
"Ooooooh, you're in troublllleeeee." Eris says playfully.
"Ah, so she didn't put half-effort into it. She put no effort into it and tried to trick me. Nice catch." Gerald said. He walks over to Hunter and sits in front of her. He whispers to her. "I want you to listen closely since you don't think I'm being serious." He then softly says the word 'betrayal' to his watch and it lights up red. A second later, Eric feels a pain throughout his body that makes him feel like his muscles are gonna tear off the bones at any moment. Hunter can hear his reaction to said pain through a tiny speaker in the watch.
Zadock sent a text to Allyson "hey so uhh did you hear about the woods outside the city?"
Eric screamed out in pain. Hunter frowned tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry make it stop! I'll do it! I'll be your apprentice! I'm sorry I mean it this time" the pain in her voice was real. She really did mean it. Nyx smiles before vanishing into the shadows.
"Yeah I did. I'm on my way out." She texted back.
"You even heard about the army of ants and hornets? Do you like need some support?" Zadocks text seemed more like the texts of an old man than the age zadock had been.
"I heard about giant spiders. If you want to come sure" she texted back
Gerald smirks and speaks to his watch. "Ally." The red light goes away and so does the pain in Eric's body. He looks at Hunter. "Are you sure? You're not trying another trick, are you?"
"Uhh no thanks that sounds like a hassle and not to mention I'm not a huge fan of bugs. But I'll send some support for you
" As she finished reading the text Scraps appeared along with two other ragmen one looking like a large bird and the other looking like a relatively normal person his threads that held his pieces together looked more like tattoos.
"No trick..just don't hurt..him..." she answered as blood came out of the wound".stupid nyx..." she muttered looking defeated.
Allyson smiled. "Hey guys." She put her lantern ring in her pocket. "Let's go""Uhh no thanks that sounds like a hassle and not to mention I'm not a huge fan of bugs. But I'll send some support for you
The bird flew her towards the woods where some noise could be heard and some bits of spiders could be seen. The bird landed a little ways from the woods and hid in a shadow while the normal looking one followed Allyson.
"Well, you did shoot her first, and you tried to shoot me. It was bound to happen." Gerald said. The Monitor from earlier walks in. Gerald looks at it. "Monitor. Perfect timing. Take her to her new home so she can clean herself up. I have a few things to take care of and a few people to get rid of."
"Guess I should look for a giant Web or something" she said
