He hopped onto it's arm and ran up to it's shoulder brandishing his sword. (BTW if you want my plan is for these to be permanent weapons upgrades)

As she did the the knives blades dug into the monster to giver her grip doing damage. Suddenly she saw a huge shadow and then a slicing sound link was directly above her his sword poking through the monsters hand as it attempted to crush her. It roared and flicked it's hand away. Link lost his balance and fell past her before she could do anything.
