He looked down. And grimaced. "No getting out of this one is there?" He took off the webshooter returning to his normal clothes. He put it in his pocket his mask was still on the other side of the line. He looked back at Eris. And he gave her a sad smile. He mouthed the words. "I'm sorry." And "I love you."

"Yep." She confirmed, grabbing her change and shoving it in her wallet. "Have a nice day, hopefully with fewer criminals." Grabbing her motorcycle helmet off the floor, she headed out of the gas station with her drink.

(Herb's definitely not going to be happy about it. Abigail won't be necessarily sad, but she'll be pretty much 'well this kind of sucks' towards it. Zhi Ruo will see the 'death' of a fellow hero as a reason to step up her game, and maybe one of my villains will make a move.)

As he faded he closed his eyes and forced a big grin not wanting her last possible memory of him to be a face of terror. He smiled through his fear and yelled. This time she heard him. "I LOVE YOU!
