As Selene trotted off, Sherman walked out of the alley and let out a sigh of relief. He looked at Marisol and asked, “How the heck do you lie so easily like that? If it were me, I’d break down into the truth mid-sentence.” Marisol shrugged and answered, “Years of living with siblings, I guess.”

"Kala! We need you." Allyson called out. Kala came back in the house. "Yes?"

"Okay" she made a charm appear in her hand.

"Okay." Ben said relived.

"Jackson had Dark Angel in his head. We need to help him not fall under control.

“Right, of course. Meet me in front of the Ghost Pepper Cafe, will have to call my friends to see if they’re in a similar boat.”

As Herb ended the call, he immediately regretted saying that. He hadn’t actually spoken to his friends in months now, and there was no way he could start now without it being awkward.


As Marisol and Sherman stood in shock of the tail discovery, Marisol noted Selene walking in their general direction. Not knowing how to explain this at all, she shoved her boyfriend into a nearby alleyway, shot him a glare, and pretended to seem as if she were busy on her phone. As Selene got closer, she looked up and said, “Oh, hi Selene. Did you just come from the mall?” Selene nodded and replied, “Yes, did you?” There was a little more suspicion in her friend’s tone than Marisol liked, but she still calmly answered, “Yea actually. Went to go look at a new pair of boots. Wanted to invite Sherman along, but he was busy with his math assignment. Asking him if it’s chill to pop in and visit right now.” She gestured to her phone accordingly. Selene simply nodded and thankfully went along her way, clearly busy with something as the odd girl always was.

Ben slammed down on the Omnitrix. "FAST TRACK! Gotta run. Someone's in trouble." He sped off to the cafe.

Peter had left. He planned to get Maddy back. He didn't know how but for now he wasn't sure what to think. Everything was just out of wack all the sudden. He stood in line at the airport. He was gonna go back to New York for a few days. Unsure of what to do with himself. He was going to ask Tony for help searching possibly.

As Herb headed towards Ghost Pepper Cafe, he called Marisol’s phone. When she answered, he didn’t bother with greetings, he quickly said, “Powers on fritz? Meet me at Ghost Pepper Cafe, kay bye, bring costumes.” He felt ashamed of himself for ending the call quickly, but he hadn’t wanted to make it awkward.

“Meeting at Ghost Pepper with Herb apparently.... Said to wear our costumes.” Sherman nodded and reached over to the nearest pebble to try and enchant it into his costume. As he opened his eyes however, it was the same rock as always. He tried again and again, but it wasn’t working. He frowned.

Marisol reached into her power, expecting for it to wash over her and transform her into Gorgon. Instead, her mind was slapped with knowledge of people and places that were like here and her, but not. She rubbed her temples, shocked by the sudden everything from nothing in her brain. “Powers not working too?” Sherman asked, looking at his girlfriend. Marisol nodded, and then noted a very useful looking pile of cardboard.

As Herb stood in front of Ghost Pepper Cafe, he noted two figures wearing very rough foil and cardboard costumes shuffling to him. He smiled to himself, thinking of how his suggestion of costumes outside of their powers hadn’t been so stupid after all.

I have super speed suddenly and I can't use my old powers." Jeremy came running downstairs. "Guys! I can't run! My speed it's gone!"
