Fandom Super Smash Bros. (OOC)

I thought we weren't gonna do anything today aside from DnD in the evening, but my amazing S/O surprised me with tickets to the Super Mario Bros movie!

I liked it quite a bit! Had just a few qualms, but aside from that I'd give it an 8/10!

I'll try to get a post out tomorrow, so sorry for the delays!

I think my biggest problem with the movie is that Peach acts more like Daisy than Peach. I can't see Movie Peach inviting Mario over for cake.

I LOVED Peach being more action-based... BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT--

Yeah, I always pictured Peach and Daisy's dynamic being Ladylike + Tomboy: They're opposites in some pretty important regards which is why I wish they had kept Peach sassy but a bit more sophisticated:

Daisy - Has healthy, living parents, canonically, and doesn't have an actual King + Queen set of responsibilities, is very tomboyish and cancels out Luigis timid/reserved nature

Peach - Is actually FULLY responsible for the Mushroom Kingdom and SHOULDN'T REALLY be called "Princess" but "Queen" but it's okay, she's waiting to marry Mario until she claims THAT title and has a more ladylike and reserved nature to cancel out Mario's more bold, out-going nature


Their friendship arc, to me, has always been Peach becoming more independent through her development with Mario and Daisy as her friends, and Daisy had mellowed out due to her relationships with Luigi and Peach o:

I was looking forward to seeing how well Daisy and Dark Pit would work together! They're both independent and headstrong, and not afraid to play dirty. I think it would've been a fun interaction to play out.
