Realistic or Modern Summer Vaca Baby

Esther came running down the stairs into the kitchen. I was late again wasn't I? "Uh... hi... everyone. Hi again Day."

"Hello Esther." Day says, a kind smile etching it's way onto her face. "Sorry for my behavior ealier, I'm new to socializing." Day adds, and pushes some of her hair from her face before pushing her glasses up her nose

Day shrugs and walks into the living room to retrieve her book. "I'll go out there, but I'm not swimming." She says to David before walking out of the house, book in hand, towards the lake. She finds a comfy looking lounge chair and sits down on it, glancing up at the sky before beginning to read.

David watches her go with a bemused smirk.

"Well, I at least am gonna hit that water."

David goes out to the porch and on the dock.

"Hey, watch my stuff, would ya, Day?"

He strips down to his skivvies and throws his clothes in a wad back at the porch; then he jumps into the water with loud whoop.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." She says, barely glancing up when he strips down but her gaze goes straight back to her book as her face turns red. "Bathing suits are preferred." She whispers to herself.

"Wooo! Damn it's cold in here!"

David laughs and treads water, looking back to the shore.

"C'mon, Wendy! Why don't you jump in?!"

He waves Day over.

She kind of did like the look of the water, but she didn't know if she should or not. "Well, I do have my bathing suit on under my clothes." She whispers to herself, trying to talk herself into jumping in. "Ugh, fine!" She calls out to David and stands up. She puts her book down on the chair, then pulls off her shirt showing a green and black bathing suit top that was tied around her neck. She then slips off her sandals, and pulls off her jean shorts to show similar bathing suit bottoms. She takes off her glasses, and puts them down on the top of her book, then she walks onto the deck. Her arms were crossed over her stomach and she looks into the water, wondering if it was clean or not. Some people thought she'd be self conscious of her body, but she didn't mind it. She wasn't big, and she wasn't super small, she liked it that way. "Is it really cold?" Day asks, looking at David, a small smile playing on her face.

He tries to hide a small smile forming at the corner of his mouth when she gets up and strips down.

"WOOO! Great job gettin off yer keister and showin us all that FA-ABULOUS swimsuit!" He cat-calls teasingly.

He shakes his head with an expression of mock seriousness on his face.

"Naw, it's fairly temperate."

Day rolls her eyes and sits down on the deck putting her legs into the cold water. "Ah. God, yeah right." She says, but she doesn't pull her legs up. Instead she pushes her hair out of her eyes and squints, trying to make the blur go away. "Gosh, I'm so blind." She laughs, and lays down on her back. Her legs still swishing around in the water as she looks up at the sky.

Day sits up quickly and wipes the water out of her eyes. "Ha, very funny." She says to David, then slides off of the deck and into the water. She holds her breath and swims underwater, feeling the cold water cascade around her. She stays underwater for almost ten seconds before she swims back to the surface, gasping for breath.

"See, look how much more you're enjoying yourself. I'll take the credit for that, of course."

David grins cheekily and dives down deep, then pops up to your left.

Day rolls her eyes and splashes David.

"Oh, shut up." She says swimming away and pushing wet hair from her face.

"I was perfectly capable of having fun by myself, thank you." She says sarcastically with a small smile on her face.

Esther went upstairs and got changed into her bikini and putting on some suncream while walking down the stairs and sitting in the water. "I can't swim... But I guess I could just sit in the water, y'know.." She said to herself while looking up at the sky.
