  • Make your characters different. If you put a character up that is similar to another I will ask you to change it.
  • Abide by RPN's rules, okay?
  • I understand that there may or may not be 'steamy' scenes, but please fade to black.
  • Look, I'm looking for stereotypes here, so feel free to make your character the head cheerleader, or head football player, or whatever.
  • This is REALISTIC you can't make your characters have powers or whatnot. There will NOT be a murderer in the woods, kay?
  • Have fun!
  • If you have read these rules put the word SUMMER at the end of your character sheet.

Day pushed her glasses up and turned the page in her book, the jerking of the car she was in was making it quite hard for her to read. "Ugh." She groans and throws her head back on the seat. She snapped her book shut and put it beside her, then takes off her glasses and runs her index finger and thumb down the bridge of her nose. Why would her principal force her to go on vacation with people she didn't like? Was that even legal? "Here we are, miss." She hears the driver say and she puts her glasses back on. She looks out of the window to see a large house surrounded by trees, they must have driven quite a bit into the forest to be here. "Alright." Day says when the car stops and she hops out. She hands the driver a twenty dollar bill, then grabs her green suitcase from the trunk. "Thank you." She says and gives the driver a smile as he pulls out of the driveway and leaves. She walks up to the front door to see a note that read: Dear student, here is a list of which rooms you will be in.

Day skips to her name and smiles. She walks into the house and up the stairs to the first door on her right.

As she drove down the forest road, her music was up and the wind was blowing in her hair. Scarlett wasn't one for the outdoors, let alone being around people she didn't like but, the principal is making them do this, she can't be the only one that doesn't want to do this. She then began singing along with her music as she made her way around a curve, "You're feeding me excuses and they're making me bitter. Don't raise a fuss, just keep it up 'cause no one likes a quitter." Scarlett loved to sing but, only when she was alone or in her car. When she saw the house they would be staying in she didn't see any other cars. "Awesome, no one else is here." She smirked to herself and pulled into the driveway. Hopping out of the car, she popped the trunk grabbing out her backpack and suitcases. "Here we go." After walking up the front stairs she reads the note on the door. She nods to herself and walks in, Scarlett looks around at her surroundings and then went to look at the rooms. Once she found the room that was assigned to her she began to unpack and fill up the dresser.

Allister was a bit agitated, yet excited about this trip. At least there are gonna be girls, he thought. He finally arrived. He hopped out of the car and grabbed his suitcase from the trunk. He then made his way to the large house and walked inside. He gave himself a tour and then decided to find his room. He got unpacked and decided to go to the kitchen and make himself some food.

Eli followed the principals directions to get to the lake house. He definitely did not want to be here; he'd rather have to go to the mall everyday instead of having to be around people he hated/who hated him. All throughout school he was called an 'emo I'm uncultured' but that never bothered him. He actually fed off the ignorance of all the kids who taunted him.

He pulled up to the house and parked on the side of the road. He stepped out of his car and stared at the area. This is going to be fun He thought as he walked to the front door, dragging his suit case. He read which room he was going to be staying in and found it. Once he as finished unpacking, he laid on the bed for a couple minutes, just taking this all in.

((So the light never came...))

The beautiful green scenery was rushing past her in a blur. The sound of the driver trying to start a small chat was being drowned out by the beating rhythms that blasted through her earphones and thoughts danced around her head of what she could have possibly done to deserve this life.

Gabriela was sitting in the back seat of her parent's Cadillac with her legs and arms crossed in resignation. Her eyes stared at the window wishing she could be anywhere but there in that moment. She thought about her friends and how they were probably already boarding the plane that she had booked to spend the summer at a lake house she had rented and spend the summer of their life's with the plan she had made. And where was she? She was driving through a bug infested forest towards a torture chamber.

This had all been her sister's fault...well the school principal had a bit to do as well. If her sister hadn't been the "perfect" girl in the family, Gabriela would have never had a standard she needed to reach and her parents would have been disappointed by the fail of a daughter that they had. But no, because her sister was the "perfect" human being, Gabriela's parents were extremely insistent on repeating perfection, but as we all know that is impossible. And since Gabriela had failed to be "perfect" she was stuck in this trip which her parents used as a punishment for her imperfection.

When Gabriela pulled up to the house she stared at it with a gawking expression. It wasn't the beauty she had rented for her trip to the west coast, but it was better than she expected. Gabriela waved for her driver to get her 4 suitcases and follow her inside.

(Which are the assigned rooms? )

((They won't be sharing rooms, and I was to lazy to write a room assignment thing, so uh.. Just use your imagination?))
Day finishes putting her things away and walks out of her room. She had heard people arriving, so she shrugged her shoulders and walked down the stairs and into the living room, a book in her hands. She sits down on the couch and opens the book to the three hundredth page, where she had left off in the car.

Her head snaps up when she hears a commotion in the kitchen, but she shrugs it off and goes back to reading. Just one of the other students. She thinks to herself as she turns to the next page. She snaps her book shut again when she gets bored and turns on the television, only to see that they only had one channel. Sports. "Ugh." She groans loudly and looks to see if they had any movies laying around the place.

Scarlett folded each of her clothing items and put them in the drawers. Once she finished she shoved her earphones in and began blasting All That Remains 'Won't Go Quietly'. As she made her way down the stairs she saw a girl sitting in the living room. Scarlett didn't want to talk to anyone right now so she went to the kitchen and get a drink. She payed her attention to nothing but her music, opening the fridge she looked around in it. Humming as she examined the items in the fridge, she grabbed a soda. Scarlett then grabbed a cup, put ice in it, and poured the soda into the cup. She took a gulp and stood at the window staring out of it into the woods.

Eli got tired of just laying on his bed, so he'd figured he go take a tour of the place. The first room he found was the kitchen, which excited him because he likes food a lot, and he was anxious to see what this place was stocked with. But his excitement dulled down when he saw another student drinking a soda. Although he didn't mind this girl; she was considered 'the freak' which was kind of close to what people called him. He figured she'd be the one he could get a long with the most here. "Hey..." He said quietly.

David drove along the road in his beat up Chevy pick-up. The local radio station wasn't bad and the cool forest air coming in though his open window felt pretty damn good. As he pulled up to the lake house, he set the truck in park and got out, slamming the door behind him. He took a deep breath and stretched. It was a pretty long drive. He grabbed his bag and checked the room roster. Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he whistled an old Charlie Pride song and made his way to his room. After getting his gear stowed away, he went downstairs to see what sort of food he could scrounge up.

After Gabriela was done setting up her room...well done telling her driver to set up, she waved him away. Gabriela sat in her bed for a bit taking in the fact that she would be staying here for a while and her parents hadn't even bothered to tell her goodbye. They had been long gone by the time she woke up. "Important Business" The noted had said, "Take out the trash before you leave".

Gabriela looked around her room which was nicely adorned thanks to her driver. He had hung up some pale blue curtains and hung up several of the pieces of art work she had in her room. He placed her white sheer canopy above the bed with the Light Blue sheets and neatly organized her books in the desk that had been provided for her. There was only one thing missing. Gabriela stood up and went to grab a small messenger bag she had been carrying. Gabriela opened the bag and took out a picture frame of her and her Grandfather Oscar. With a smile she place the photograph in her night stand next to the blue lamp and alarm clock she had brought from home. Gabriela brought her fingers to her lips and then placed them on the picture of her grandfather. He had been a great man to her, the only one who understood. Now that he was gone, his memories kept Gabriela from becoming like her sister.

With a farewell to her grandfather's picture, Gabriela went out of her room and out to explore the lake house.

Scarlett hears a sound behind her, it sounded like a voice. As she turned around a boy came into view, he was obviously trying to communicate with her, so why not. You have to make some friends in this crazy house. Scarlett put a friendly smiled on her face, she usually was rather loud but, since he seemed a bit shy and timid, she would keep it down some. "Hey, my name is Scarlett." She hesitated with sticking her hand out but, she did it anyways. Scarlett pulled her sleeves down as she did so though. 'So far, so good. One student down, six to go.' She thought to herself.

Day sighs, she hadn't found a single decent movie in the living room. She hears a slight growl come from her stomach, but she didn't want to go into the kitchen. There were others there, others who will push her around and call her a nerd. She shook her head and stood up anyway, walking into the kitchen. She ignores the four people in there and walks straight to the fridge. She sees it stocked top to bottom with all things that they would eat, so she digs around for a bit and finds an apple.

*Sorry I didn't get an alert....*

"Thanks, bye!" She payed the bus driver his money and walked towards the house, seeing that the door was already open. "H...hello? Is anyone in the house yet?" She mumbled while shutting the door behind her. I wonder what room I'm staying in... I want it to be a surprise so I'll look around the house first. Walking into the kitchen, she saw a girl peering into the fridge. "Oh... hello... um... what's your name again? Sorry I didn't remember it...."

Day looks at the girl who had walked up. "Hi." She says quietly and takes a bite of her apple. She didn't want to make friends here, she just wanted to stay as far away from everybody as possible, but seeing as they'd all be in the same house for a long time.. She'd have to be sociable. She gives the girl a halfhearted smile and holds out the hand not holding an apple. "I'm Dayliah."

"Oh.. right. I'm Esther. Nice to meet you I guess...?" She dragged her suitcase up the stairs and had a look around in people's rooms. I probably shouldn't be doing this... I might get caught... She thought to herself while peering in and out of the other resident's rooms. "I think this is my room..." Esther mumbled to herself and dragging in her suitcase to then place it on her bed. "Okay, lets get unpacking!" She said enthusiastically. She was pretty excited about this holiday, so what's wrong with making the most of it?

David came down the stairs and headed for the kitchen.

"Howdy everyone."

He walks over to the fridge and snakes an arm past the person there, grabbing a jug of milk. He pours himself a glass then looks around in the cupboards for a minute, finally pulling out a bottle of molasses. He pours a bit in and stirs it with a spoon before putting everything away and taking a long satisfying swig.

"Ah! That's exactly what I needed."

He looks around at the other people in the kitchen, a loping half smile on his face.

"Well, Nice to meet ya'll. I'm David."

Day waves at the boy who had just walked in. "Day." She says simply before walking past him and back to the living room where she sat down on the couch. She stares at the blank tv with a bored expression and takes another bite of her apple. She then lays down on the couch and stares up at the high ceiling, it was a nice house, but it just wasn't her thing. She didn't like lakes, she didn't like summer, all she wanted to do was go back to school, check tons of books out from the library and spend nights in her room watching anime and reading.

David lets his head casually follow the girl.

"Wednesday I think!" He calls out cheekily as he takes a look at the other people, occasionally looking her way out of his peripherals.

Eli smiled at Scarlett in a friendly way, "I'm Eli," He said as he watched others walk into the kitchen. Some of them didn't even acknowledge anyone... This is going to be fun! He thought to himself, observing the area.

Day laughs at what David had said and sits back up. He seemed nice. She gets up and walks back into the kitchen with a sigh. Maybe she could make friends with a few people, well, at least she'd try to. She tosses her apple core into the trash can and walks up to David. "Hilarious." She states, a sarcastic smirk on her face.

Scarlett gave the boy a friendly smile, he seemed to be like her. This could be the start of having everyone as friends in the house, as long as she doesn't scare them away. She took a deep breath and stepped to the side and looked at everyone in the kitchen. "Hello ladies and gentlemen, the name is Scarlett." She said it to where everyone in the room could hear it. Scarlett then began to speak again, this time in a sarcastic tone, "I know that we're all going to be the best of friends. Everything's just gonna be peachy keen." She rolled her eyes and turned back to the window, continuing to stare out it.

Eli chuckled quietly at Scarletts statement. He figured he should introduce himself, hoping to get off to a good start. Since they're all forced to be there, why make it any worse than is already is? "And I'm Eli." He announced to everybody in the kitchen.

"Do you want to tell us your favorite colors and what you enjoy doing most?"

David says in a sardonic tone, then offers an amused smile and walks out of the kitchen towards the living room. He plops down on one of the couches rather languidly.
