Well, this was a little awkward. Amy wasn’t sure whether to say bless you or if that would piss him off more. She stiffened as he grabbed the pill box, her expression a grimaced mixture of concern and caution.
“You might want to take that with-” Beck had already downed a shot along with the pill. “Water…” she trailed off. A quick search on her phone told her that, unsurprisingly, mixing alcohol and antihistamines was unadvised. Hopefully this one wasn’t the drowsy kind - they could do without Beck passing out and drowning in the hot tub when he inevitably joined the others.
“Don’t leave me out of the fun!”
Preoccupied with trying to determine Beck was in no real danger and refreshing her memory on good CPR practice, Amy hadn’t noticed Adi come through until the familiar voice rang out. With the door to the porch now wide open, the strong scent of weed was impossible to miss. This was anticipated, and Amy wasn’t judging anyone for it, but phew it was an assault on the senses. She exhaled long and slow through her nose, trying to redirect her attention to Beck.
“So, the cat. I’d like to say you won’t even know he’s here, but, well…” she gestured vaguely to his general - clearly affected - being. “He’s a sweetie, though.”
She scanned the counters, noting how they were already crowded with glasses and bottles galore. Time to pick her poison, she supposed. Although she wasn’t sure what the situation was in terms of sharing. If she were to guess, anything out in the open was probably communal, but clarification would be nice. The platter was definitely a free-for-all, at least, so she pulled some grapes from there.
