Isabelle was woken up by an excited roommate shaking her awake. "I'm up" she groaned. Olivia was dressed and ready "come on! It's the first full day of camp!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Go on, I'll meet you there." Isabelle said sleepily.


Olivia shrugged and walked out of the cabin to go get her schedule. She arrived to hear them announce kids with the last names a-j to get their schedule. When it was her turn she walked up to Slader with her cheery disposition "Banks" she said telling him her last name. She grabbed her schedule and looked up at Slader "Isabelle isn't much of a morning person, is she?" She asked curiously as she began skimming her schedule. "Oh cool! Rock climbing and hiking!" She said as she continued looking over her schedule. "When you're done, come find me and Isabelle, we'll save you a seat at breakfast." She said happily as she walked away.


Isabelle walked up and Sarah handed her the schedule. "You and Slader have pretty much everything together except he has rock climbing and hiking while you have photography and creative writing. She frowned a bit and nodded, at least it was only two.


Olivia came bounding up to her "lemme see your schedule!" She exclaimed, "oh I only have meals with you." She said a bit disappointed. Isabelle peered over her shoulder and saw that Olivia was in rock climbing and hiking with Slader. "Well maybe you'll get to make some more friends" Isabelle said softly. Olivia shrugged "I guess you're right." She grabbed Isabelle's arm. "I told Slader we'd save him a seat at breakfast." She tugged Isabelle over to a table and sat down in the middle of the bench, leaving a spot open on Olivia's right for Slader.

Slader sighed as he grabbed Olivia's schedule. The rock climbing and hiking was going to eat her alive. He handed her the schedule, and shook his head at her statement about Isabelle. No, she wasn't a morning person.


After he finished handing out schedules, Slader walked over to Matt to see if anything else needed to get done. The counselor shook his head and motioned for him to go eat.


Slader scanned the crowd for Isabelle and found that she was sitting by Olivia, rather glumly. The only spot left was on the blonde girl's right and quite honestly he didn't feel like sitting next to her. He was exhausted from waking up early and her energy was going to drain him.





"Hey guys." He mumbled as he ended up sitting beside her.

Olivia smiled up at Slader "Hi" she said happily. Isabelle glanced over and smiled as she continued to eat her muffin. "So what does your schedule look like?" Olivia asked curiously. "Isabelle and I only have meals together." she said a bit disappointed. A guy walked over and tapped on Olivia's shoulder, she turned around and smiled up at him "yes?" He motioned for her to follow him. She obliged and walked out of ear-shot of the table. While Olivia was away Isabelle turned to face Slader "hey" she said giving him a small smile. "so I heard we have everything together except you're doing hiking and rock climbing. You know Olivia is in them with you." she said warning him.


A couple of minutes later Olivia returned with a grin. "Hey, Isabelle." she said as she slid a piece of paper towards her. Isabelle grabbed the paper and began to unfold it. She stared at the paper confused, "it's a phone number...why did you give me your phone number? Couldn't you just tell me yours." Olivia laughed and shook her head. "Oh no Bella, it's not mine!" she said with a giggle. "It was that boy's that was over here before. He thought you were cute." she said simply. Isabelle cringed a bit hearing Olivia call her Bella, it only sounded right when Slader said it. She stared at it feeling sort of foolish "oh..." She shoved the paper in her pocket. Olivia laughed "Isabelle, you're supposed to text him! It's like you never had a boyfriend." Isabelle didn't say anything, taking a drink of her juice. "Oh my gosh!" Olivia exclaimed "have you never had a boyfriend?!" Isabelle shrugged a bit, not answering the question. "It's okay we'll work on that" Olivia whispered and patted her back.


The counselor's announced to get to their first activity, for Isabelle it was photography. "I have photography, I'll see you two at lunch." Isabelle said as she stood and threw out her trash, making her way towards her group.

Slader frowned as Olivia left to go speak to the boy. He turned to Isabelle and spoke, "Hey Bella. Yeah I knew, I saw her schedule when I gave it to her. She's not going to last five minutes though."





He shut up as she came back, a grin on her face. A boy gave Isabelle his number? Slader looked over his shoulder at the guy. He didn't like him already.





When Isabelle turned to leave, he quickly jumped up and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't text him, okay? Why don't you stop by my cabin tonight?" He suggested, looking into her eyes hopefully.

Isabelle looked up at Slader "I uh didn't intend on it." she said softly. "and I'll see you at lunch. We don't have to wait until tonight." she said with a small smile. Olivia was by the group for hiking "Slader! Come on! We're leaving!" she called over to him. Isabelle cracked a smile, "have fun on your hike." she said with a slight chuckle. She walked over to the photography group and they walked off to their location. She happened to look to her right and saw the guy that stopped over earlier and gave her his number. He gave her a slight smile, Isabelle gave him a polite smile back.


They were taking pictures of their favorite part of camp and then they were supposed to go print their photos. Isabelle was down by the lake taking pictures of the lake and the flowers near it. She went in the dark room and began developing them.


Olivia waited for Slader to come back and then followed the group to go hiking "I love hiking, it keeps me in shape for my dance classes." She said following the group. Olivia chewed her lip a bit, "sorry, I've been talking a lot haven't I? This sounds sort of stuck up but I never really had to try to make friends so I'm probably not doing it right, am I?" she said softly looking over at Slader.

Slader sighed. Another hint just going right over Isabelle's head. He knew he'd see her soon, he just thought tht tonight they could be alone more. He nodded and turned to his group.


They were going to hike up the small mountain to the left of the lake for the first day. He glanced down at Olivia as she talked. "You're fine, Liv. I like hiking too. Football and all... Gotcha stay fit."





Slader ran a hand through his dark hair and looked up to the sky. The sun was shining brightly down and illuminating the lake below. It was beautiful out here.

Olivia smiled up at him "You play football? That's cool, my brother used to play while he was in high school. What position do you play?" she asked curiously as they hiked. Olivia was in pretty decent shape from dance. She smirked up at him "So do you think you're in better shape than me? I'll race ya" she said nudging him playfully, and she took off up the mountain.


Isabelle was alone doing her photography. She finished developing and had some free time as she waited for her photos to dry. Isabelle grabbed the book from her bag and headed towards the lake to read. She didn't realize it but the guy from earlier was taking pictures of her reading. @kailey
