Alright, so I've been an absolutely horrible partner, and I am so sorry about that. Things have gone downhill for me, and I'm actually homeless at the moment, but I do have some free time available to RP with you if you're willing to keep this going. Again, I am so, so sorry to leave you hanging like this for so long.

Oh, goodness, I'm so sorry! Are you alright? I mean, clearly not, given the circumstances, but I mean - god, I'm sorry that is the situation you're living in. If it's possible, I would love to continue, but of course, your life and providing for yourself always come first.

No, no, it's fine, I'm fine- things are pretty complicated at the moment, but for now I have someplace to stay that has four walls and a roof. (and wifi!) I would love to continue this, it's a really fun RP, I just wasn't sure you would still be up for it after such a long vacation from it. I'll post my reply soonish; probably not in the next couple of hours, but with luck it'll be done by tonight.

For future reference, I can pretty much guarantee that I'll always be up for this roleplay - it's a storyline that I love, and I adore both the characters and the dynamic they have, so yeah. And of course, take all the time you need!

Maybe she sees him practicing and, as per usual, immediately is like "what are you doing? no, but what's it called? how do you do it? why do you do it? can I do it?"

Ooh! That would be fun. Considering he's usually driving, maybe that can happen if they stay in a motel for a night or two? Like, maybe they're running low on cash, so he scrapes together just enough for a two-night stay in a motel near a town he knows has a local poker thing going? And he would be his usual self; "Practicing. Poker. Like this. Money... Sure?"

Ah, I like! And of course, she immediately plops down, scoots closer to watch and says "teach me." It's not a question, rather a demand, but Cress has never been one to ask and Paul is likely used to it by this point.


I've always been greatly amused by the idea of someone hitting on her and her completely not understanding because she has literally only ever been romantic with one person and they were both pretty much like "you're the best thing in my life???you're my best friend???and seriously you're so pretty???wanna kiss??" and this scenario could be a possibility for that to happen. Like, Cress refuses to be left alone at the motel but she can't come into the poker place, so she hangs out outside instead, and some arrogant little teenybopper who thinks he's hot shit starts flirting and she's just like "rad, go away before I fuck up all of your shit."

Yeah, by that point he'd just shrug it off and say "Sure." again.


And XD. That would be hilarious to read- especially if the kid didn't get the point, and after cheating several people out of money Paul comes back to see Cress just scaring off said terrified teenybopper.

I like to think that, by the time Paul comes out, Cress has gotten up off the bench she had been sitting on and is on the defense because this guy didn't leave when she told him to, and then he actually tries to touch her, and it's probably something relatively innocent, like wrapping an arm around her shoulders, but it's unwanted and Cress is skittish like a rabbit, so within seconds she has her pocket knife drawn and pointed at him. "I said, fuck off." He's gone pretty quick after that.
