Other Stress and Relaxation Methods

Recently I've been pretty stressed out, with a few factors being the main reasons; school, personal life, drama, me being an angsty teenager and whatnot, so I was wondering; what do you usually do when you're so tired you want to just lay down in  bed and sleep but can't? How do you relieve yourself some of the tension?
 
Meditation. None of that hippie shit like going "Om" or talking about your aura. Just sit down somewhere,close your eyes, and only think about breathing and keeping your posture straight. 
 
Smoking. Cigarettes. Hehe. 


Also walking. Walking and smoking. I like to smoke.


Besides that I don't have a lot. I try to replace smoking with working out but I get bored of exercise quickly. I play with my dog but not while smoking because he's an angel that shall not be exposed to such chemicals. 


If I can't sleep then I'll do some sit ups or push ups till I'm tired, then go for a smoke. 
 
i've been writing my thoughts on a journal when im stressed or pissed off and i don't know if it helps but it definitely makes me feel cool. also i like pampering myself like taking a hot bath with a bath bomb, putting a face mask on, and painting my nails. 
 
Play fast paced video games until I burn out when I have time to recover.
 
If I'm ever stressed out, I'll most always find myself sitting down and talking to some close friends while simultaneously playing video games with them. In a sense where you don't want to/can't do those things, I'd keep a journal containing your thoughts, or anything else you'd like to fill it with; such as things ranging from poetry, drawings, or experiences.
 
Journaling has helped me so much when it comes to thoughts keeping me up at night. If I'm feeling anxious about something or I can't stop thinking about it, getting it down on paper is like the thoughts are leaving your brain, traveling through your arm, to the paper. After I write it down, I can sleep no problem.

If I'm overstressed from work or school, a hot bubble bath works wonders for me. I fancy it up a ton, like a spa. I have a bath bomb, bubble bath, a foot scrub thinger, my favourite sugar scrub, and some nice smelling body butter for after. I make a playlist of my favourite songs and sing along. It always works for me, not sure why haha.
