TV & Film Strangest film you've ever seen?

For me, definitely Donnie Darko. Cliche, yeah, but... Jesus, I can't explain it. Just one of those that makes you super uncomfortable while you watch it.

The Eyes of My Mother.

This strange, indie film centered around a woman and her problems with intergrating into society after her mother was brutally murdered and her killer locked up on her farm.

Strange, to say the least.

Funky Forest. It's by far and away the strangest film I've ever uncomfortably sat through. It's a film made up of a series of short little scenes that aren't exactly connected to one another. It's bizarre. Really, truly bizarre. I think it's supposed to be a surrealist comedy, or some kind of elaborate dare to see who could string together the most nonsensical and off-putting stuff and get it published.

Honourable mention has to go to Wizards, which is an animated film from the seventies. One of my housemates watched it when he was a little kid, and after listening to his half-remembered details of the film, we found out what it was and grabbed a copy of it. It is one very strange film.

An Andalusuian Dog, a 1926 (I believe) film. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. It’s only half an hour long and you can find it on YouTube.

Yellow Submarine. The visuals in that film are so strange and amazing. Top it all off with Beatles music and a nonsensical story and you gotta recipe for a weird movie.

The last one I can remember was The Children. I think it was a British film made in like 2008. And Jesus Christ was it freaky; basically this family goes to a cabin and their kids all go nuts. Pretty gory too.

Livid. I don't really recall it, ut I think it's a horror movie about ballet dancers? I don't recall it at all, but AFAIK the ballet dancers were puppets or whatever? I mean it was ok, but I did not enjoy it that much.

Honestly I barely remember it but I watched Tom a le Ferme with Pine Pine and I only know it was weird and we had no idea what was going on.

Mother! come out recently and was really weird too, especially to see with my dad, a lot of people thought it was amazing but honestly shock horror + a metaphor for Genesis and humanity isn't really that mind blowing? So it was kinda... eh.

Not gonna lie, Cloverfield Lane. I was really expecting it to be like Cloverfield, and it wasn't that similar.

....Le Fairy

A rather odd French film that I didn't enjoy at all, mostly because I had no clue wtf was going on.

There's also Hot Fuzz but I actually enjoyed that because it's so British (liek mee).

I hope animes count but I was joining a anime club for the first time and someone asked me in order to be in the club you have to watch a episode of gush gush now I wasn't into anime back then and I had no choice so I went along with it. there also some teacher there also and the things we have saw has stunned me for life lol never watched the anime never seen the episode to see why on what happened to the guy but ik that was some disgusting stuff.

Okay so I'd definitely say hands down, the weirdest one I've seen is Eraserhead lmao like even my dad said he was sure they were heavily trippin as they made it

Sad to say I'm too stupid to understand/appreciate art house films like Tree of Life or Valhalla Rising. I'll take my popcorn and my Avengers movies, thanks very much.

Deep Dark, Donnie Darko, and anything by David Lynch (especially Eraser Head, as mentioned above). Lynch short films, which you can find on YouTube, are pretty good if you like the surreal!
