Realistic or Modern Stranger Falls Academy

Lawson Dennison

Lawson let out a small huff as he laid on his back, quickly flicking through the information pack he was given to see if he was given a map of the premisis and scanned his eyes over it, circling where both his dorm room was and the office. After he had finished looking at the map he got up and went into the ensuite bathroom to shower, glad he at least went to a boarding school which had private bathrooms.

The idea of the Stranger Falls party made his stomach both flutter with excitement and twist with nerves, the idea of that many people that he didn't know. What if he embarrassed himself? He would then have to spend the rest of the year surrounded by these people. At least he would know one person there... Lauren.

♥ Lauren Hill ♥

Lauren had finally decided on a medium-length sleeveless dress that her mother had given her for her birthday this year. It was a faded coral colour, and complimented her skin tone perfectly. She accessorised it with a rose-gold necklace and black wedge heels before leaving her new, sorted out room in search of the main hall, where the party was to take place.

She followed the pumping sounds of house music and eventually found the hall. She stepped inside- it was a mesmerising show of bright flashing lights. Lauren looked around to see if anyone she knew was here yet, but she couldn't spot anyone, so she went to stand by the food table and helped herself to a fruit punch.

As Lawson rummaged through his suitcases for something to wear to the party he looked up at the clock on the wall. The party had probably already started by now and he would be late, hopefully nobody would notice.

He chose a black tshirt with a graphic design on the front and a faded pair of skinny jeans. Lawson looked at himself in the mirror and fixed his hair to make his fringe sit right on his forehead, always being a perfectionist, and smiled slightly in approval of his outfit. He slipped on a pair of vans before leaving his room and finding his way to the hall where the party was being held.

Reaching her room, Nat threw her bag next to the bed and flicked through the packet after falling onto her back in the bed. She reached a page describing a party and shrugged to herself, "Might as well." She muttered before opening her bag and reaching into the bottom, searching for something that wasn't sweats, a t-shirt or jeans. She managed to extract a pair of blue leggings and an oversized purple button down shirt that she put on over the leggings, cinching a braided leather belt at her waist.

Nat knotted her converse and pulled a braided leather necklace with a silver charm over her head, pushed her hair behind her ear and walked towards where she figured the party was, following the music.

Roll stretched, havin gone through the whole information packet. Her eyes wandered around the room, resting on the sheet lying on the floor, advertising the party. She hummed out a long note, keeping it going unusually long. She stopped only when a group of boys loudly walked past her still open door, laughing. She paused her music to listen into their conversation.

"Come on bro, lighten up. we'll meet the best chicks this way."

"Yeah dude, scope out the hotties."

"As if any of you are in leagues with 'hotties.'"

"Can't blame a guy for trying." Their voices dimmed out, and Roll was left with her thoughts. Standing up and walking to her closet, she stared at the clothes in front of her, dully. Finally, she grinned, twirlig around where she was to stare into the mirror. She had a homemade t-shirt with her band on it and a worn out pair of jeans. Add her worn out and duck taped chucks, she looked like hell.

"Well, lets meet the neighbors, eh?" She said, tossing her headphones onto her bed and gripping the keys from the desk.

It didn't take long to find the party, after a certain point, the music was enough to draw your attention near. Entering the room, she gazed upon the students, making mental notes she'd never remember.

Lawson stepped into the large ballroom which was already crowded with students dancing, chatting and drinking punch. He slowly walked over t the food table, his eyes scanning over the finger foods that were laid out for everybody but he didn't feel entirely hungry so he only grabbed a few crisps and munched on them as he looked out at everybody having a good time. He didn't know any of these people.

Eliza walked into the ballroom and glanced around. She had just transferred and she didn't know anybody yet. She spotted a guy standing alone near the snack table and made her way over to him.

"Hey," she nodded at him, giving him a brief smile.

"Hi." Lawson smiled in return, having to quickly swallow the last mouthful of crisps before he spoke and covered his mouth self consciously. "I'm Lawson. What's your name?" He asked happily and held his hand out. He didn't know how formal kids were at this school, the yearly fees would suggest they were.

"Eliza," She smiled, glancing down at his outstretched hand, "I'm not that formal. My parents forced me here," she rolled her eyes.

"What grade are you in?"
