In the time before they got on stage, Alma ran through her usual sort of pre-show rituals to eliminate any jitters. That included applying a heavy coat of dark eyeliner underneath each eye, thinking through the set list, tapping through a couple of rhythms, - if she’d brought her headphones she’d likely listen to the set list all the way through but she didn’t have the time to head all the way back across the ship to go through her luggage.
Loud cheers pulled the brunette from her thoughts, signaled that the group before them was done. Letting her eyes briefly slide over the previous group as they exited, Alma followed closely behind her group as they took to the stage. It was finally time to get this thing over with.
Luckily, she didn’t have to carry her instrument on stage - that likely would’ve been a three person job. The drum set was already assembled so Alma just took a seat, pushing her curls behind her ears as she schooled her features into her usual show persona - cool and collected with a hint of wild energy brewing underneath that exterior. Taking the drum sticks between her fingers, Alma let the loud excitement of the crowd wash over her, drown out any fears or hints of apprehension.
Glancing between her band mates, eyes lingering a bit longer on Sammie as her thoughts ran back to the previous drama of the day, Alma flashed the girl a wolffish grin as she waited for the signal for her to tap out the beginning rhythm of their first song.
