Noirin blushed at Kasja's words regarding her earlier behavior. She really didn't know what came over her. It was like someone had taken over her completely. She wouldn't ponder it too much for now because more important things were a foot. Still she couldn't help but glance at Nadia who looked like she didn't want to be there at all. In fact, she didn't touch any of the food and soon left the room entirely. She glanced at Aamir who looked just as concerned. It wasn't long before another prince showed up and came straight up to Asta and spoke to her a bit rudely. She couldn't think of this prince's name, but knew he was from Anahaly like Asta.

After the mention of her dream, several of the occupants volunteered to come with her to the library. First was Prince . . . Jian? Then it was Kasja and the Chosen of the Aquamarine.

"Oh my that would lovely, thank you. Hopefully we can figure out the rest of the clue sooner than later. Aamir, can you show us in the direction of the library?"

Aamir had been a bit distracted by Nadia's departure, but turned his attention back to Noirin.

"I'll have one of the servants show you the way. Excuse me while I go check on Lady Nadia," he said before finishing his own breakfast and leaving the room to go in the direction she and her mother left.

It didn't take him that long to find the pair for they had made their way outside.

"My lady, are you okay? Would it be okay if I escorted you wherever you want to go? The city isn't fully stable yet." he said to Nadia, completely ignoring her mother.

Back in the dining room, Belinha spoke.

"I won't be too much help in the clue deciphering department. I was never good at that kind of thing."

"Belinha, you ever going to greet Prince Salvador?" her father, Alfonso asked.

The young woman turned and saw the prince.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry your highness! Did you sleep well?"

Her family shook their heads and her behavior. In the meantime, Noirin finished her own meal.

"Well I am done. Mother what will you do this morning?"

"I am going to get our things together and then check my vending area to see if there's any damage. I also want to check our old inn room." Ingrid said.

"We were going to check our old rooms and vending area too. Belinha why don't you and your siblings check out the inn so you can check other things and your father and I will check on our booth." Emilia instructed.

"Sure. Prince Salvador, would like to come with us or do you have more important things to attend to?" Belinha asked the prince.

"Well, I'll wait for the rest of you coming with me to finish eating. Take your time." Noirin said.

Jian continued to stand with a soft smile on his face. Once turning his head back to Noirin, he began to feel his friends gaze lie on him, causing that soft smile to shift into a small smirk. The Vinsumian general prince had made himself known as a good samaritan, willing to delve into dusty old books to help the others. A fine addition to previous conceptions about himself. Still standing, he shuffled around his own chair and gently pushed it in, walking past another newcomer with dreads, and taking his new place by the wall. This new vantage point provided him with a full view of the dining room, allowing him to take in everything with a single glance.

His new spot immediately came in handy as, after a bit of chatter, Kajsa stood up just as he had. The strength of her gaze fell down onto Noirin as she proclaimed to join the duo as well. That put a genuine smile on his face. The woman was shown to be capable, albeit independent, back in the display room. Not only had she insisted upon staying in that room, but she had reportedly accepted her role as a chosen rather smoothly. An admirable attitude during times as confusing as these. Jian looked forward to speaking with her more during downtime. Perhaps he could learn a bit more of her ways of living that shaped her to be so.

Next to break the library team's silence was his chosen one - a young woman with long scarlet hair, striking even amidst a room full of nobles. Her ocean blue eyes were calm as she remained sitting, speaking in a soft tone. "I can also provide assistance in the search if you would like." She may have not seen him, but he nodded his head at that, offering the girl a smile from his post near the door. Jian was hoping that the girl would come through and join. From a political standpoint, this showcases not only the unity between the prince and the chosen of Vinsumi, but also their understanding and willingness to help others. Surely, the two of them have made somewhat of an impression on both Noirin and Kajsa. "Well done. Though perhaps a bit too soft."

A shattering drew his attention from one chosen to another, his lazily narrowed eyes landing on Nadia and the broken shards scattered around before her. Clearly distraught, she stood and excused herself. Jian watched her closely, raising an eyebrow as she struggled with the door handle next to him, the shiny metal knob bending slightly under the pressure of her hand. Interesting. Jian made no move to go after the woman, especially when the banshee that claimed to be her mother followed swiftly behind her. Instead, he focused back on the room to read their reactions. Pretty much what he had expected. A bit of shock here, a bit of worry there. Nothing he could use to gauge their ideals more. Though he did notice a little something. At some point, Damian must have swiftly left without him noticing. "A bit of a recluse that one." He mumbled to himself.

"Oh my that would lovely, thank you. Hopefully we can figure out the rest of the clue sooner than later. Aamir, can you show us in the direction of the library?" Jian, elegantly placing his hands back into his sleeves, watched on as Noirin thanked the three who had volunteered. The prince was a little surprised that he was the only 'protector' to offer his help thus far, but that would only increase his standing. No need to hope for competition where it is not needed. Jian watched as the soon to be king scrambled a bit. He was obviously worried about Nadia, though Jian figured it wasn't about his finely smashed cup that was worrying him. "I'll have one of the servants show you the way. Excuse me while I go check on Lady Nadia," He spoke quickly, finished his breakfast and took off towards the girl and her mother. Jian gave him a bit of a side glance as he passed him but paid the situation no more. He could only expect a punishment befitting the mother would be laid out soon.

The young Histadelian chosen spoke, nonchalantly claiming she wouldn't be much help in their search. A good practice to know your strength and weaknesses as well as the confidence to showcase it to strangers. The young general may have been overthinking it but he decided to make the mental note on the girl, just in case.

Noirin finished her meal and spoke with her mother before announcing that she would wait for the others to finish before their trek for the library would occur. While he was curious about the girl, or more so her dreams, he was patient and knew that they would be discussing it soon enough. Breakfast hadn't exactly been ideal, so Jian figured that the others might benefit from a bit of a calm, before another storm inevitably hits. Thus, he continued to be silent and observe.

The distinct sound of broken glass echoed within the room as eyes soon found their way, once again, back onto Nadia. Something was not right with her. Before anything could be said to the poor girl, she ran off.

Kajsa's eyes noticed the doorknob from a distance, eyes seemingly homing in and getting a more up-close look despite being many feet from it. The ornate knob was bent, the young woman could clearly make out the indents Nadia's delicate fingers had made in the metal. With a blink Kajsa was back to looking at it from a regular distance. Strange, she thought to herself curiously, though her expression never wavered. A second later Kajsa had pushed the thought into the back of her mind. Simply deciding to ignore the sudden visual clarity she had.

Noirin's voice soon had brought the Anja's attention back on to her as she thanked her, and the others, for volunteering to aid her in her search. "You are most welcome, Lady Noirin. I promise to aid you however I may," Kajsa stated, bowing respectfully to her. As her head raised, her icy green eyes looked up towards the Vinsumi chosen. A younger girl with eyes as blue as sapphires and hair the color of a ruby, she appeared as delicate as the other chosen. Compared to them, Kajsa was a blade of steel that stood within a field of flowers. Out of place. Nothing that'd she'd allow herself to be concerned over, she knew her strength and that was enough. While protectors were needed for the others, Kajsa herself was the only protection she needed.

"I must take my leave," she stated softly to Egil and Revna, "Once you are packed return home where it is safe. While the quake has ceased, who is to say another is not to follow." Revna's eyes began to fill with tears as she gazed upon her kin, "My dear Kajsa," she uttered while getting to her feet. Soon the woman wrapped her arms around the armored girl, who soon enough began to hug her back. "Promise me that you will return home safely once this is over. You must promise me that, Kajsa," Revna managed to get out in a broken, yet firm voice. Her grip slowly becoming tighter as she feared letting go.

"We shall see each other again. That is a promise." Kajsa replied quietly as she hugged her mother back. Her expression was still stony, unmoving, almost emotionless. As there was no fear in Kajsa's mind, no worry. This was a promise she swore on her soul to keep no matter the perils. After a moment's pass, the mother finally felt comfortable enough to let go of her daughter.

Unlike his wife, Egil reached his hand out towards his daughter, who took it in her own. The two gave a firm squeeze as the locked eyes, "For Anja," Egil stated quietly, a proud smile across his face. "For Anja," Kajsa replied in quiet confidence, the fire in her eyes and the smirk on her face was evidence of this.

"Come, Lady Noirin and Lady Hanako, we should find the servant and make haste to the library." Kajsa's sights were now set back on the door which Jian stood by and begun making her way towards it.

Trigger Warning| ⚠physical/verbal abuse/guilt tripping, mention of a panick attack. Read with caution.⚠

She didn't know where she was going, stumbling through the winding hallways, her hands struggling to pull up the skirt of the ridiculous dress so she wouldn't trip and embarrassed herself further. She heard footsteps behind her-her heart rate increasing as she speed up her movement. Turning down a hallway, searching for a place she could be alone and breath. Breath without the constraint of thousands of eyes on her, strange constriction of her chest making it harder to breath and the God dam walls pressing in at all sides.

Faintly her brain registered the sound of a voice, someone shouting her name-almost desperately calling out to her. It sounded muddled, far away as if the speaker was speaking through mallasis. She turned then, stopping in her tracks only to sink to the floor. The tears were unexpected, dripping down her face and more then likely smearing the makeup she had slaved over. When had she started to cry? Why was she crying, why couldn't she stop, why did it seemed that she was breaking down far easily.

"What on earth do you think your doing? Couldn't you "

A hand grabbed her, causing the young girl to flinch. Struggling to pull her arm away, her throat was closing up, her skin was crawling. She didn't want this, she didn't want this, why couldn't she escape. They were everywhere, watching her-judging her. What right did they have to judge her, to question her mother and her, this wasn't her fault-she didn't ask for this. She felt like drowning, to many hands-to many-

Slap

Her cheek stung, blinking in surprise as it whiped to the side at the force of the blow, mouth slightly wide in shock. Shakingly she raised a hand against her cheek, tear strained face staring up at her mother, she felt her heart grow cold at the look within the one person whom she never wished to look at her like that.

The women hand was raised, her delicate feature pulled into a frown, red lips twisted into a sneer as she regarded her daughter with a coldness that didn't seem fit on her face. It was an odd contrast to the alluring beauty, yet Nadia found herself trembling, further shrinking into herself as she lowers her head. Teeth worrying her lips to the point she tasted blood, when her mother grew like this, it truly ment that she herself had disappointed her. More then that, she had betrayed her mother, a betrayal that would take forever to garner forgiveness. It didn't matter if the mistake that she had made was miniscule in the eyes of others, it didn't matter that she herself didn't know what she had done to garner that look, all she knew was that she deserved whatever rebuttal she would be receiving.

Another hit came again, this time with more force then the previous one, then another. The fourth had new tears spring to her eyes, her mother shouting at her, yet the words were muddled. As guilty as she felt, she couldn't help the slight revoltion she felt whenever her mother's hand came in contact with her skin, the crawling sensation growing more and more, it took everything in her not to pull away. Not to claw at her arms and wrists in attempt to alivate this feeling, she almost welcomed the pain, it distracted her.

"I didn't raise you to act this way, do you hate your mother so much to the point your trying to sabotage me-? You do realize I'm only doing this for your own good"

Another hit

"I'm trying to help you yet you dare bite the-oh my poor sweet baby"

The sudden switch in tone had Nadia flinching, her mother sinking to the floor, gathering the girl within the warm embrace of her arms as she began to sooth her. Rubbing frantically at Nadia redden cheeks, murmur words of comfort spilling from her lips yet the warmth never reached her eyes.

"Do not be harsh on yourself, mother was to harsh-oh your Highness-"

"My lady, are you okay? Would it be okay if I escorted you wherever you want to go? The city isn't fully stable yet."

When had he arrived, why was he here, she hadn't expected anyone else besides her mother to fallow her-if she was being completely truthful to herself she didn't want anyone to come after her at all. She felt her mother arms tighten, the crawling sensation grew worse, it was an unspoken message that she shouldn't further embarrass herself-more then she already did.

"I-i apologize" Nadia tried to speak, yet stopped when the carefully perfected accent she has crafted for herself cracked. A strange lilt making its way into her voice, clearing her throat, she attempted to wipe away the remaining tears. Her mother moving to the side, oddly she didn't seem to be paying attention to the prince or her anymore, her gaze elsewhere.

"I merely felt unwell, I'm sorry for causing an unnecessary disturbance and to worry you to the point of looking for me" forcing on a smile, Nadia forced herself to push down all the uncomfortable swirls. Forced herself to take eaven breathing, she couldn't allow herself to crack further. "I'm fine now, would it be to much to ask to lead me to the rest? Lady Noirin wished us all to gather there? "

A sudden voice full of anger caught Asta off guard. She immediately raised her eyes to meet unfamiliar ones and oh did she wish she was back on her island once more. How did the people here get the beauty genes? She had no clue but she was sure her heart would not last the trip. For a moment she stood dumbfounded by the fact the prince had an open jacket, and she blinked quickly.

When she was accused of being the one who did not wish to save the world she instantly frowned. This man was heck angry. Her eyebrows were knit together in perfect frustration but she reminded herself that the man was a prince. She carefully constructed some words to smartly retort back to the prince and once again she scolded herself for trying to say something back to the prince. But who cared? If she wasn’t honest she’d be like a doll who only bowed her head to the rude ones. Her brain wasn’t smart enough to stay silent.

”I think I liked the prince I met yesterday better.” She laughed but feeling it was inappropriate she stopped laughing, quickly adding a, ”And yup! That’s me.“she confirmed. No guilt appeared on her features maybe a bit of nervousness but she stood her ground. She looked at him narrowing her bright eyes, assessing him or trying to figure him out. Was he maybe the brother of the prince from last night? She didn’t know. In any case, Asta was extremely expressive with her face and if anyone saw her it would be obvious enough she had no poker face.

”Well if you had a sibling it’s natural to try and care for them right? How can I trust strangers to care for my brother when I know him the best, Sir Highness Prince?”She questioned. But then when she noticed she spoke out of turn she turned a bit red. She tried focusing on something entirely different such as the sound of broken glass coming from the pretty pretty lady… Nadia? She was incredibly beautiful but she looked so troubled and it made Asta feel like watching a small rabbit cowering and trembling in fear for some reason.

She felt a twang of sympathy and… fear for the girl. Asta paused, why did she feel fear all of a sudden? But she also had enough anger to yell at her mother who looked so harsh at her daughter it was as if she was watching a fox and rabbit engage in a attack between the mother and daughter. If it were up to Asta she’d make Nadia’s mother do 250 push-ups and then a whole round lap around her hometown. At the mention of deciphering departing Asta turned her gaze to Belinha a warm laugh coming off from Asta as she nodded in agreement.

Asta remembers the time when one of her friends on the island told her she was one of the stupidest humans her friend had met. She wasn’t offended not really. That meant she was number one for something after all and someone her friend would remember... She quickly tried to stop daydreaming and return to talking to Mr. Angry Prince. Maybe she was being irresponsible. But honestly, her brother mattered to her more than any of these people in this room if she had to be honest to herself, and if that was rude then she’d apologize but she was merely stating her opinion. But then again… what would Eos think? She felt heavy in her stomach, and suddenly all the food weight down on her. Eos was the scariest person she knew… oh… if he heard her talking to the prince he’d give another 3 hour lecture on etiquette of ladies and men… etc.

Prince Faolan was with his mother and sister as they checked out the Sasuren section of the festival. It being close to the palace helped with most of the structures standing but there was still damage everywhere and none of the tents and smaller vendor booths stood standing. Faolon's mother and sister, Queen Maureen and Princess Maeve, did most of the talking with the people there, most lost so much and were worried about their lives. The queen was already making promises to cover for any loses and knowing his mother, she would hold up to it. While Sasuren had a hierarchy, even servants were paid sufficiently to support their families. After finishing with another vender, Maeve turned to her brother.

"Faolan, don't you have other things to do besides following us around? We have plenty of protection at the moment. Didn't mother and I tell you this morning you'd be our Chosen's protector? Her safety is more important than ours at this moment."

"Lady Noirin is perfectly safe in the palace. Things out here aren't as stable, Maeve."

Maeve wanted to groan. Noirin's father worked at the Royal Observatory, so the rulers were familiar with her family, but Maeve had never met Noirin until this festival due to her wanting to avoid royal events and Maeve couldn't blame her for the Court could be a hassle to deal with. She would have met Noirin when she got married, but Noirin got very ill, so much so that her mother didn't come to the wedding just so she could personally take care of her. Maeve's impression of Noirin was a good one though despite her quiet demeanor. She got to meet her during the festival when Noirin was helping her mother at her booth several days ago. They actually check out Lady Ingrid's booth initially and it too had been demolished.

Hearing her son explain why he wasn't with Noirin, Queen Maureen new she'd have to take matters into her own hands.

"Faolan, Lady Noirin and the other Chosen will soon be making preparations for their arduous journey to save our world. You need to be ready yourself. Now I order you to go where our Chosen is and help her in any way you can."

Faolan couldn't help but let out a sigh but replied, "Yes, mother."

With that he headed towards the palace.

Once he got there, he asked a servant where the Chosen of the Amethyst was and found out. He had visited the palace a number of times over the years and having a great visual memory, he knew where to go. Getting closer to his destination, he soon saw 3 figures and upon closer inspection saw it was the Chosen of Jasper, her mother, and Aamir. The mother seemed to be comforting her daughter, which was a big turnaround from last night. He showed up just in time to hear the Chosen address Aamir.

Aamir was about to answer Nadia when he saw Faolan approach. He nodded his head at the Sasuren prince to acknowledge his presence before turning back to Nadia.

"I will once I that you're physically better, Lady Nadia. I can see you've been hurt. Let me take you to the infirmary," he offered her is hand, before turning to Faolan, "I can assume you're looking for Lady Noirin, Faolan? She's in the dining room down this hall."

"Thank you. Do you need help finding the person responsible for your chosen's current state?" Faolan asked.

"No, but thank you," Aamir replied, briefly glancing at Nadia's mother.

Faolan noticed it and nodded before leaving them. He knew enough let Aamir handle the matter since the pair were still his subjects. Aamir himself figured out pretty quickly that Nadia's mother was responsible and decided to deal with her when Nadia wasn't around.

As Aamir said, Faolan found Noirin as well as the other Chosen and other princes with them. When Noirin saw him, she couldn't help but look away for the man was still pretty intimidating for her.

"Prince Faolan, what a nice surprise. Have you had breakfast yet?" Lady Ingrid smiled.

"Yes my lady," Faolan said before walking right up to Noirin, "Lady Noirin, I've been tasked to be your protector on this journey."

This caused Noirin to blush but she managed to look at the prince, "Oh, thank you your highness."

Ingrid smiled, really relieved that her daughter would be in safe hands.

There was a bit of an awkward silence between the two until Belinha spoke up.

"Well I am done! My family and I will see you later. Prince Salvador, you're welcome to join us if you want.

With that the Basurto family left. It didn't take them long to find the Histadelian area of the festival, but with all of the damage it would be another thing to find where their booth was. The parents decided to have the family split up to find their inn to see if they still had things there. So while her brothers stayed with their parents, Maria and Belinha looked for their inn and soon found it. Their rooms were standing but the rooms were a mess. Belinha didn't want to admit it, but seeing all of this devastation was starting to get to her and thinking about how something like this could happen back hope was scaring her. Would she be able to do what was expected of her? She was only 19. Why was she even chosen to begin with? At first the idea of an adventure seemed exciting, but seeing things now, she was beginning to doubt herself.

Maria saw the state her sister was in and spoke, "Why don't you go outside for a bit, Belinha? I can get started cleaning up here okay?"

The pink hair lady nodded and went outside to a nearby garden. Belinha was surprised with just how arid and dry Mulada was, it still had places that were lush. The capital located in an oasis after, so buildings had been built to blend in with the environment, similar to how Histadel's cities and towns were. Belinha sat at a bench looked at the flora around her. Suddenly, unknown to her, the Carnelian fragment, which was in a knapsack she carried, started glowing and the girl found herself in a daze as the greenery around her started growing slowly and some of the greenery started entering the inn. Maria saw movement out of a window and was shocked. Running outside, she saw her sister glowing orange energy as things continued to grow and obstructing her view of Belinha.

"BELINHA!" Maria shouted, which knocked her sister out of her daze, but she instantly fainted instead.

Maria tried getting to her sister, but the plants were too big to climb over.

"Someone help please!" she shouted.

After Belinha's family left, Noirin finished eating. She explained what she was going to do to Prince Faolan.

"Okay, I am done. I am ready to go find the next clue. Mother will you be all right?"

"I will dear. All of you be safe too."

With a servant to help, Noirin, Faolan, and those who said they help Noirin out left the room. The dining room had several entrances, so they didn't run into Aamir, Nadia, and her mother. They soon found themselves outside. Seeing all of the effects of last night's earthquake made Noirin gasp. Trying to get ahold of herself, she turned to the servant.

"Um, so which way is the library?"

"This way miss," the servant said before leading them away from the palace.
