Didn't the half year long Sitzkrieg came right after Saar offensive?

Pretty much. Saar offensive is in September of '39, and the French don't do much until April of '40 when they send an expedition to Norway. I only mentioned it since it was concurrent to the Invasion of poland and would give the western allies something to do while poland was wrapping up.

Norway could still be a good place to start though, the fighting goes from April into June and the French pull out specifically because the Germans have made a surprise visit to the homeland. So it has a pretty climactic end for the allies.

Sedan and Dunkirk start in May, so you could have the Company reassigned to the home front at the end of April if you wanted to do the more high profile battles.

Yeah, it wouldn't really give the the the French characters much to do. The germans would be off killing the polish characters while we'd be sitting in a cafe in Saarbrucken.

Also I was wanting to ask, do you know if your character is an officer or an enlisted? I didn't see if she had a rank. My character is a Lieutenant and I was trying to figure out how they might be in a unit together so we can actually interact more easily.

I didn't go that far into her details, as far as rank, though, I'd say she'd be an NCO, likely an Adjudant, or Sergeant First Class. True, by the point where we're actually in France, it's pretty likely that most measures of who's in what unit will be pretty much moot. Soleil's kind of rough around the edges, so he's not likely to make a good first impression regardless of the situation.

My vote would be Narvik, there were 2 major battles there during the Campaign and it was the allies main port, so it'll give the Allied players a way out if need be.

It's also north of the Arctic circle, so we get to freeze half to death in the snow all the way into June.

hmm, this is the recruit post i got out, and as the title suggest we're eyeing for a WW2 rp with steampunk elements so, like, walkers Realistic or Modern - Steampunk WW2 Roleplay

So Narvik was also a major Naval and Air campaign. given than airships exist, I imagine that means that the skies would be pretty much raining shards of broken metal on a pretty regular basis

I thought it was that they lost 10 destroyers and a few cruisers. Up to you how big it is at the end of the day.

Well, I wrote my whole intro post, then deleted it because I forgot that the Germans were in control of Narvik at this point in the campaign.
Then realized I could have just kept it if I changed the one reference to Narvik to Harstad since it’s literally just right next door.
And now I have to basically write the exact same post all over again.

So for Any allied Characters, just remember we’re disembarking at Harstad so you don’t suffer like I have.
