sweet smelling dreams
Dakota stood in next to Ele, the leader of The SoP. Her red hair flowed freely out of her helmet, blowing in a soft, unknown breeze. A small, transparent snake circled her head, sweeping through her arms and legs. The red-head pressed a button on her spacesuit, and after a subtle beep, the helmet locks clicked. Dakota easily pulled the helmet off, closing her eyes and shaking her hair out. It all fell back into place, a little poofier than before.
The figure that stood behind the girl was much taller than her, almost reaching the low ceiling chandelier with his form. He wore a red cloak with a hood, which covered his features. However, one could make out his various eyes and diamond-shaped mouth that settled on his face. His long neck bore golden pendants and jewelry, all containing massive amounts of his obtained power. The robe fell down to his feet, but his three-fingered hands found their way through the sleeves and were resting on the glass table before the pair.
Around the table sat similar figures, all gathered for one purpose. To introduce and assemble the StarQuest squad. The team that would save the universe and bring back the peace that it had known so many years before.
A soft pink light shone through the tinted window, in which outside displayed the cold, black heart of space. Though she couldn't see it through the window, Aleteria was covered in a thin, baby pink layer that made up the protection spell. Below bustled millions of people and thousands of species, all making their lives in the safe Crystal City. From the hill that the SoP was settled on, you could make out the small shapes of hover transports and the pointed tips of the building of the city. Dakota found it truly magnificent.
Pink orbs floated near the ceiling, the main power of the spell around the planet.
Dakota looked around the room, though the windows, and thought of her father. The reason she was here. She recalled his squarish face, his thin eyes, and his curly, red locks that adorned his head. She remembered him telling her how important it was to fight for the things you believe are worth fighting for. She could imagine his crooked smile, his wicked laugh, and his clever sayings that she grew up with.
He was the reason she was here today, and that she was not some lost puppy, blindly stumbling along without its mother.
Dakota ran her fingers through her tossed hair, and brought them in front of her face. Oranga, her animi that had long accompanied her, had tangled itself between her fingers and had decided to take a nap there.
Dakota sighed, anxious to meet her team members and get their journey started. As she had been told many times, the longer they waited, the stronger Selene got.
And Dakota could not let that happen.

((Just a heads up, I changed Dakota's specialty to planet, seeing as we already had two (three?) rangers.))
