Star wars

@FabulousTrash Not sure why, but I thought I responded to this hours ago... read it, knew what I was going to do, just... didn't do it evidently.)

Sasha expected a few things from the Jedi, maybe a few more words, a humble response, even a simple and mysterious walk away like they sometimes used to do... the last thing she expected was for Talena to take the Admirals hand into her own. She looked down, and confusion passed over her for a moment... then she begun to understand when she felt the familiar feel of metallic credits clinking in her hand, and she opened the palm to see nearly a thousand credits. Disbelief transferred to the wild thought of everything she could catch up with using this money, to the fact that she could not accept it.

She reached the give the Jedi back the credits, only to see her hands behind her back. She'd try another way. "I... I can't accept this, as a matter of principle Talena... I do not accept charity, especially from you. I'll manage, but I don't want handouts." She sighed as Talena kept her hands behind her back, and raised a brow. "Ill just transfer these back into your account, or to the Jedi council, ill not take it." But a part of her did, and that part didn't even want it for herself to pay the bills... she wanted it for her daughter, but still... she could not accept this.

Talena just shook her head, her soft smile plastered onto her face

If you want honesty, they pay you too low. Besides, I'm sure you'll use it better than I. Most of the time I dont even buy things. Credits just sit there, gathering dust.

Talena softly giggled, a bit amused at the Admiral's shock

Do not worry about me. Unlike you, I am not raising children.

Talena glanced at her chronometer (clock), then back at the Admrial

I must depart. Do take care Admiral, yes?

Talena then turned, walking out of the building where she got on her private transport. She spoke to the pilot

401st barracks please

Roger that

The doors shut and the LAAT soon took off and Talena was on her way to see how Arc was adjusting as well as the other clones

@FabulousTrash

Sasha sighed out, watching as the Jedi walked out of the Senate building, looking down at the credits in her hand... she would not accept charity... yet she would use the credits until she could find some way to pay her back, and she would, one way or another. For now however, she simply closed her hand over the credits, and called out after the departing Jedi. "You as well..." Then she herself turned, heading for the public transport station. She had bills to pay... and gifts to buy.

As Talena descended onto the barracks of her 401st... they were deserted. However, there were sounds, alot of them, coming from due east, by the rally grounds. It got louder, much louder the closer she got until she could finally see what was causing all the ruckus. The rally field was alive with activity, the entire battalion out again, yet every member active. Every inch of the field was in use. The track was pounded under hundreds of feet running in synchronization, and from the looks of it, they had been working for some time. Inside the ring, hundreds more were involved in various tasks from hand to hand combat, shooting practice, lifting and more. Eventually Talena might spot the particular clone, dressed in different armor, with more ornate colors, Arc. She was currently on the track, running ahead of the other clones, and at a fair faster pace than any of the others.She occasionally called out muffled orders, and the running soldiers would form formations while running, and it seemed crisp and precise... they had been running for some time.

Talena bit her lip slightly. Arc wasnt doing anything wrong, but Talena was afraid that Arc was oblivious to the exhaustion of the other clones. With a crisp and loud shout, Talena spoke up

Halt! Troopers, take your break and get re hydrated!

Talena then gestured for Arc to approach her. When Arc was standing infront of Talena, the Jedi looked up at her curiously.

Arc, how long have they been training? Some of them seem extremely exhausted

Talena glanced back at the resting clones, then to Arc

I'm not saying you're in the wrong. But, you should give them breaks here and there. If you practice with tired men, then they'll never be up to their physical peak. Lets let them catch their breath. Later, I'll take you all down to the Droid Simulator. You'll command the 401st while I manage the simulation

@Warhawk (I just wanna mention that currently, I"m making a Sith OC and I was thinking we could use him in the section of this RP when Order 66 goes down. If thats alright with you, of course. I know the only Sith that existed at the time was Palpatine, but I was thinking that my OC would replace Maul and that Xen (my OCs name) survived and lived and etc etc)

(I don't mind it one bit, (I am a major legacy fan, so im up for alot of things) but he always had apprentices that never got mentioned in the movies or any big novels, so definitely. Any suggestions if I were to make an OC, if its even a good idea :P  always new ideas and such) @FabulousTrash

It would appear that Arc had never seen the Jedi land, or perhaps simply did not acknowledge it. For she continued her training, more accurately her running at the moment, with the rest of the soldiers, calling out times crisply despite the constant state of running. However, the moment Talena called out... Arc immediately shifted on her heels, coming to a full salute in the middle of the track, a full second before most of the other worn out soldiers. She stood silent until the Jedi beckoned to her, to which she approached, removing her helmet as she came. Her forehead was covered in a sheen on light perspiration, cheeks rosy from the work out, yet hardly breathing heavy in the slightest.

"Yes General?" She would ask, staring straight forwards as she came to a stop. "They have been at training for approximately three hours and sixteen minutes General." Arc spoke dispassionately in response, staring directly ahead, almost as if she was staring at something behind, instead of at Talena herself. A moment of hesitation crossed 8302's mind, and after a moment, she responded. "Noted General... the majority do seem to be out of shape according to regulation. However... I will refrain on putting so much on them at once.When the simulation is read, I will rally the men. Is there anything else General?" She stood at complete attention, the absolute essence of soldiery, and loyalty... she would do anything for her commanding officer.

No, that is all Arc. Take your break and catch your breath. Inform the others I will be preparing the simulation. Have them organized and geared up in 0300 hours.

Talena turned and departed, walking to a different section of the barracks. Soon, she came up to a rather large arena, almost 12 acres in size. Similar to the training arena back at Kamino, the 401st arena was only slightly different. Instead of plain white slabs as cover, debris from Coruscant was laid out and strewn all over the place. The place had the capabilities of being reconfigured on the fly to fit any homeworld based situation. Anything from a hostage crisis or containing a riot, it was there.

Talena entered the control room, pressing a few buttons and configured the arena for a hostage rescue mission within the halls of the Senate building. The walls shifted and parts of the ground came up and soon, the scene was ready. The Jedi glanced at her chronometer, then sat down, calming herself as she waited for the 401st to assemble

@FabulousTrash

The 401st was exhausted, whatever she had put them through, had been tough, and drained them both physically and mentally. Yet not one of them complained, at least verbally to her, about the situations. They were soldiers, and damned good ones at that... they could take it. On the dot, the marching of the 401st could be heard nearly still five minutes from the staging area... when they arrived, they had come to a complete halt, the Clone commander holding up her hand, observing through her advanced helmet scanners, the complexities of the setup. A Senate rescue... instantly, protocol sprang up into her mind, and she knew how to handle it. However, she did wait silently, stoically for the command to begin the simulation. She would handle it simply, divide the troopers into smaller squads, with the remainder of them as the main force. They would fake a storming of the main entrance, looking as if the entire legion was storming the center, hesitating only to protect the senators. Further incursions would ensue with four small, five man teams, arc troopers and the best of the normal troops. They would insert into the senate building, and quietly take out whoever was guarding the senators. She had been training in aggressive tactics, none of the usual hesitation that accompanied most clones designed to save lives and put officials first. Her programming was to complete the mission.

Over the intercom, the entire 401st could hear Talena's voice as she explained the situation

Before you is the Senate Building, replicated in its entirety. Inside, 4 Senators are behind held hostages and they're being physically interrogated for access codes. You will encounter the full variety of droids from Super Battle droids to Droidekas. There is no limitation to your strategies and everything is fair game.

On the giant screen at the top of the simulation arena, 4 health bars appeared. The same 4 bars also appeared in the corners of each clone's helmet visor

That is the condition of the 4 senators. Once the health bar is gone, that means they are dead. Good luck.

The buzzer went off, signalling the start of the exercise.

Hidden away in the command module, Talena watched, seeing what Arc would plan

@Warhawk

@FabulousTrash

Arc worked quickly, and methodically, coldly selecting the best twenty of the battalion, including the limited number of arc troopers, commando's, and officers. She divided them into four groups of five. The remainder of the force would feign assault, trading loose fire with the 'CIS' forces, but not engaging for 'fear of the senator's harm'. However while the main battalion 'attacked' on three separate fronts, seeming to be failing to break the droids, the four groups would be converging. Sneaking up through the 'senate' building via secret passage ways few even knew existed, the clone strike teams would quietly set up long range rifles. They would meet at separate points along the senate room, and prepare to strike, cleanly executing every single droid and interrogator simultaneously if in an open space. If not, the clones would then move onto two other methods, if they were in an enclosed room, they would pump an invisible gas into the room that would disable the droids, or if not, hack into the senate terminals and engage the auto defense cannons, using the high tech targeting systems to take out the threat before they could harm the senator. Arc listed these ideas off in moments, and immediately put them into work, not wasting any time. In a minute, the troopers were assaulting the front, and hopefully they'd never know about the 20 soldiers sneaking in through the back entrances.

Talena watched closely, intrigued of her strategy. While she knew normal droids were too dense to realize anything, Talena couldnt let Arc assume anything. In the real battlefield, things can change in the blink of an eye. In the 401st, you had to be ready for anything AND everything.

Talena sat down infront of a computer, quickly imputing the strategy Arc had decided on into the droids in the simulation. The field changed and as the small teams that were sent to the more hidden entrances, a full squad of droids were there to meet each one of them, bringing Arc's seamlessly flawless plan to a halt. Talena went back to the viewscreen, looking to see how Arc would adapt

@Warhawk

@FabulousTrash

If Arc was surprised, or really felt anything at the fact that her plan had been 'foiled' she revealed nothing. In fact, it seemed as though see had planned for this to happen all along. Almost immediatly she ordered the general retreat, broad formations and very obviously displayed to the enemy. They lines backed off as if giving ground, the teams backed away slowly as they took down droid after droid. Things seemed to be going poorly for the rescue, and Talena might wonder what she had in mind, if Arc was giving up to cut losses, or simply trying something new. The question would be answered mere moments later to the Jedi as nearly a dozen zip lines flew quietly across the sky to sink into the thick metal of the senate building. Just as quickly, that many Arc troopers slid seamlessly down the lines against the building, cutting the cords to hide their approach. Using the retreat as a distraction to draw out the majority of the droids, the Arc troopers, 8302 herself among them, used the rest of the cord to attach above them, and slide down the building. Two stories below, the senators were being held at gunpoint in a windowed room. Pretargetted, the guards would be taken down simultaneously first by EMP blast, then a quick hit and run. The Arc troopers would then grapple the rest of the way down the building with their precious cargo, and bring them to safety. At the moment, the troopers would be moments away from entry.

Talena watched the action unfold, then smiled to herself and pressed a button on the control console. Her voice could be heard on the intercomn

Well done, all of you. Head back to your quarters and get some rest. You're all dismissed for the day

The simulation room began to power down as the doors opened. Many of the troopers headed back to the barracks, talking among themselves. Talena exited the command area, taking the turbo lift down and found herself to be back at the ground floor. She immediately went to find Arc and when she did, Talena gave the commander a nod

I'm very impressed Arc. Now get some rest. No more training for the day. Unless you need anything, I"ll be heading back to the Temple

Talena had to admit, Arc was better that Fox in some ways. Her tactics and thinking process was certainly different and Talena had sensed that some of the other clones were a bit uncomfortable and unsure about Arc. Talena kept telling herself Its just a small change. It'll work out eventually

She held her hands loosely behind her back, waiting for Arc to say anything

@FabulousTrash

As was becoming quite usual, Arc showed nothing. If she was pleased at success, disappointed in the soldiers performance, or had anything on her mind, Talena would likely never know, likely a strange change for a jedi who could sense almost anyone's mind. Arc only approached the jedi, saluting her courteously before shaking her head. "No commander, there is nothing." She paused as if to turn and walk away, however, she stayed for a moment longer than strictly necessary, and finally said something else. "Droids would not have known those passage ways... however, the added challenge should be good for the legion. I will make sure to incorporate such thought into their training." If Talena had nothing more, Arc would give a final salute, and return to the barracks.

The military holo net was alive with chatter. Separatist holdouts and known fleet locations were turning up empty to fresh scout reports, and Republic fleet divisions had managed to land on several hotly contested planets with relative ease, all the garrison pulled out. It was viewed as a victory, a sign that a full republic victory was close. What the scouts didn't report, was the massive fleet movement over an unknown system, rapidly growing in size and strength... they were due to leave soon in fact, orders were already in circulation t9 make their move.

@Warhawk

Talena left the 401st barracks, taking her transport back to the Jedi Temple. It had been a long day and the only thing in Talena's mind was to sleep. She made headway for her quarters, greeting those she passed by and wished them a good night.

She came up to the door, opening it and stepped into the room, the door closing behind her. She stripped off her armor, left in only loose garments. Placing her saber on the bed-side table, she flopped down onto her bed. Her eyes closed as she fell asleep

An hour passed

Talena's eyes shot open as she sat up quickly, panting heavily. She had sweat running down her face and her hair was a mess. She had a vision. A vision of some form of an invasion. On top of that, she could feel the Dark Side of the Force, stronger than it was long ago. She got out of her bed, grabbing her lightsaber. She donned her armor, quickly leaving her quarters as she went to go find someone from the Council. At the same time, she took out her comnlink, radioing Arc

Arc, I dont have much time to explain, but I need you to wake up the 401st. I need 24/7 monitoring of the holo net for any indication of a mass invasion force.

By the time Arc returned to the barracks, her soldiers were gone, already sleeping most likely for the long day tomorrow... more training. She already had their scheduals planned mentally, and would announce the day over breakfast. Other than military tactics, there was little that entered her mind... except for one thing. Talena. She had learned about the jedi commanders on Kamino, but learned about them as hard, efficient commanders, and deadly warriors. She did not know about the second one... but Talena was not what she knew a jedi was supposed to be. Not only this, but Talena was something that Arc had never experienced before. Companionable. She didn't know the word, or much of its meaning, she knew it only as a strange personality that wasn't either robotic or stern. It was... odd. She would have to look into it further. She returned to her small, spartan personal quarters, methodically laying in her bed, and falling asleep almost instantaneously.

Hours later, she woke up just as quickly, almost immediatly responding, no time needed to wake up, nor get her bearings. It was almost as though she had never slept at all. "Affirmitive commander, I will have the legion patrol the streets, and search for signs of invasion." The com went silent, and she began her search, alerting the soldiers and rousing them from their sleep, ignoring their groans of disappointment. She knew every aspect of invasion and defense, yet did not react as many others would, with panic and fervor. She went about searching as she would eating her morning eggs. She saw what everyone else saw... a lack of confederate fleet assets, and a lack of military presence. Yet she saw a pattern... it was focused in a few linked sectors, some of the less important ones, and many parsecs away, there had been an unusual number of probes 'lost to space'. She alerted the commander immediatly. "General, I estimate a 67% threat warning from the lack of confederate fleet units, and combined with an unusual loss of probes in the 92-theta quadrant, I believe that there may be an invasion force gathering."

67%....

Talena acknowledged

Get everyone geared up. I'll be there shortly

She killed her comns, making her way to the Council room. Luckily, she had managed to assemble a good amount of the Council. She entered the room quickly, bowing hastily to her superiors and gave them everything she knew. The vision, the sudden Dark Side presence, what Arc told her. Even in her rushed manner, it took a good 10 minutes

Talena took a deep breath, calming herself as the Council Members thought for a moment. Obi-Wan then spoke up

You are not the only one who has felt such a ripple. I too have felt a stronger presence of the Dark Side. Continue with mobilizing the 401st. I will personally alert the rest of our forces spread out across the immediate area

Yes Master

With another bow, Talena walked outside the Council room, then broke out into a run. She made for the Temple Hanger, getting on the first transport avaliable and made headway for the barracks
