A God, but not here.
Application Format: (and example)
Name: Darran Dreiss
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: A quiet and wise man, with intelligence and perception beyond his apparent years, Darran is a very emotionally aware person, and takes some small pride in being quietly charismatic.
Personal History: He was only just knighted by the Jedi council when heads started rolling, and the great Jedi purge began - on his 20th birthday, no less. Before that really doesn't matter. He had the typical Jedi upbringing of Code, Saber, and Adventure, even if that was only typical during the Clone Wars. In fact, during the Clone Wars, he was much loved by the Clones he found himself in command of, for his compassion, and the fact that he was also one of the few people they'd ever met to regard them as people- as individuals rather than a single force.
It was what saved him.
You see, the Clones were microchipped in such a fashion that, upon the activation of Order 66, they would be unable to refuse the command to kill Jedi, but his Clones were strong enough to stall it, even if only for a few seconds. It was strange, actually. They just stood there after the order was given, unmoving. If Darran had reacted a split second later, then the Emperor's re-issuing the command would have broken the spell soon enough for them to cut him down.
He was separated from his master - though he was technically a Knight, now - and presumed her to have been killed.
And then he gave in to fear.
I do not mean that he fell to the Dark Side - oh no, he stayed firmly in the service of the Light. It's just... he didn't really do anything in his service. He hid. Like a coward.
He took his lightsaber apart and broke his vows and pretended as if he'd never been a Jedi, and started using a vibroblade instead, and took to hunting bounties and criminal work to survive, finding shelter in brothels and bars, and living with the scum of whatever star system he found himself in.
So actually no. He abandoned the Light Side entirely. I lied. Just like he did. He lied to himself every day, telling himself that he was doing nothing wrong, and denying nothing.
And downwards the spiral went. Downwards because he was being torn between the past and the present - he had never actually destroyed his lightsaber, you see. He kept the parts on his person, unable to cast them fully aside. Even in his darkest years, a Jedi walked within him.
Or limped within him, at least, broken and lost.
And all this went on, downwards in an uncontrollable spin towards the bottom of a juma soaked cup, when, one fortuitous night, he overheard someone talking about a Rebellion, and a suicide mission.
Naturally, he signed up straight away.
He was determined to earn his knighthood back before he died.
Tools and/or weapons: A lightsaber, of broad, long, blue blade, kept in several different parts around his person.
He also carries a long vibroblade somewhat more openly, and a fairly generic blaster pistol alongside that.
Skills and abilities: As a Jedi Sentinel, he is adept in both martial arts - in particular lightsaber combat - and the use of The Force, both in healing and in a fight. However, these abilities extend mostly to an intermediate-advanced level rather than mastery, on account of the 'Jack of all trades' style skillset of the Sentinel. As such, he is also moderately versed in several other skill fields, and his time as a bounty hunter has sharpened his instincts and melee skills. He is also, as aforementioned, very charismatic - if quietly so.
Are they willing to die for The Rebel Alliance?: Sometimes, I think he is actually planning to.
