Formerly Vulpes lagopus.
With a derisive snort at the innuendo, Ardan snatched the pouch of explosives and gave each of them a once-over. Oh, wonderful, another sort who's chronically incapable of seriousness. Unless this was his way of coping with fear. Still impractical, in her opinion. Like someone else she once- No. Better to nip that train of thought in the bud.
Despite her relief that the mercenary was allowing her to take the lead, she was concerned that out of all people a probable bounty hunter, and one familiar with Arkanians, at that, now had her description. He'd most certainly guessed that she wasn't a mere civilian, and if he'd seen her face, he'd seen her scar. It might keep the Republic and the Jedi from recognizing her, but the Sith had access to her current medical records... and of the two, she'd rather not take her chances with the Sith. But there was nothing stopping him from tipping off the first party to offer him credits...
Even so, she couldn't afford to worry about that now. First, I need to survive. She could plan her next move once the present situation was dealt with.
One glance at the armored behemoth drawing them into its trap made plain that these improvised devices weren't going to cut it as more than a brief distraction. And given that the isolated landing pad left them with no escape route... their only hope was to deal some damage. "No... these won't be enough." She scanned the remains of the shuttle. Once they touched down, the metal itself could just as easily be used against her as against that thing. But there had to be something here that she could use to augment the explosion...
Bracing herself against the seats, she inched carefully over to where she estimated the gas tank to be, then lay flat on her stomach and peered over the ragged edge of the floor. Yes, there it was- dented and dripping, but intact. If somehow, she could use the fuel inside... She chanced a look at the landing pad. Whatever she decided to do, it needed to be done quickly. Time was running out.
