Dystopianist
In peace an able subject, in chaos a crafty hero
After the death of the Neti Jedi Master T’ra Saa, her saplings were scattered into the hyperspace streams. Neti pollen was picked up by ships traveling from planet to planet and by only a few decades later, midi-chlorians from the substance were abundant in nearly an entire fifth of all living creatures.
Suddenly, force sensitive people were common across the galaxy. A theocratic revolution against Imperial oppressors was launched on Mandalore. Dathomirian adepts became numerous enough to form the Quelii Consortium. The New Sith, arrogant and untempered, was dispatched with a simple planetside bombing of the Korribani temples.
Peace didn’t survive more than a decade. The Jedi Order had been rebuilt using the repurposed Imperial missionary corps, but this proved to be their downfall. In a fit of paranoia, the Empress later known as the Face of Death detonated bioweapons into every Imperially constructed Jedi temple. The Jedi had survived blaster fire and betrayal in ages past; but even they proved vulnerable to repurposed Sith alchemy.
With a third of the Triumvirate eradicated and one primed to destroy the other, the galaxy descended into barbarism as warlords and religions rose and fell.
It is now the year 200 ABY. Power throughout the galaxy has stabilized into five warring forms, each of them boasting their own unique force adepts. The Jedi are dead. The Sith are dead. The stars no longer sing of them, and their saga is over. Could the next be about you?
- No Jedi or Sith. If you want to play a force user there’s Alliance Rangers, Imperial Knights, Witches of the White Current, Sei, and theocommandos, not to mention the dozens of other traditions I didn’t formalize into factions. Choose one and run with it.
- If anything doesn’t make sense or is a reference you don’t get, don’t be discouraged. I’ll almost always clarify exactly what things are. But otherwise, you can feel free to look up some of these concepts on https://starwars.fandom.com, which is the site I used for creating this RP.
- I don’t subscribe to any map of the Star Wars universe. This is a EU roleplay anyway, so you can be mad that I’m contradicting every map made previously like every map made previously somewhere else.
- The lines of Skywalker and Fett unbroken are primarily held by the Galactic Emperor and the Mand’alore respectively. Most of the former family were killed in the Face of Death purge, and most of the latter were killed by past Mand’alores themselves. If you want to graft your character onto either bloodline, you should have a good reason for it.
- If you want your character to use a certain type of technology or be a certain type of droid, please either utilize the Technology tab or talk to me about possible new tech. Unless you want your character to look archaic, modern technology should have been substantially improved on since the protocol droids and Blastech of the 1st centuries B and ABY.
- I’d really enjoy some shipping or otherwise special dynamics within the main cast, so please talk to your fellow players about past and future relationships.
- Don’t try to “win” the game! The hand of the Force, so to speak, rewards good roleplaying.
Faction Name: The Holy Mandalorian Empire
Ruler: Mand’alore Vhe Gev-Kadim, Head of the Church.
Capital: Coruscant
Force Adepts: Theocommandos, beskar-wearing robed warriors wielding beskade sabers. They wear the latest model of in-armor jetpacks, small turbines folding out of their back in their boots. Their communication and targeting systems are powered by the blood lightning force technique, which can also manifest as lightning blasts out of their gauntlets.
History: Under the heel of Imperial oppression, and with newfound common force abilities, the Mandalorian people launched a massive theocratic revolution against the Empire.
While the Mandalorians easily earned their independence, they could not determine who to rule quite so easily. The descendants of the great Mandalorian heroes of history, including the Gev and Vizla clans, waged a costly Second Mandalorian Civil War. But from this war, eventually emerging victorious was the Mand’alore Farkra Gev, and under her leadership, there came a great Second Mandalorian Crusade.
In the modern day, Mandalorian forces occupy the second largest territory behind the Galactic Empire. While their military is substantially stronger than any other in the galaxy, they’ve mostly been focused on simultaneously warring quite successfully against both the Empire and the Alliance.
Faction Name: The Consortia
Ruler: The Three Queen Mothers. The Hapan Queen Mother conducts most domestic regulation and public relations, the Dathomirian Queen Mother focuses on war and command, while the Zann Queen Mother carries out espionage and trade. The current monarchs are Arhana Shado, Rei Kamyoto, and Kanta the Hutt respectively.
Force Adepts: The Witches of the White Current, the resulting order from Fallanassi refugees on Dathomir. Mostly illusion-based practitioners.
History: When the Galactic Empire first began eradicating rival factions, the Fallanassi culture fled to Dathomir to refuge with the Daughter of Allya.
By the time of the Neti pollen becoming widespread galaxy-wide, the combined force tradition of the Witches of the White Current held thousands of practitioners. They slowly began taking back nearby planets before the Galactic Empire arrived once again.
In desperation, the Quelii Consortium they had formed united with their old allies the Hapes and Zann Consortiums to form the Consortia, an unified and now particularly large sector of the galaxy. They quickly fended off Imperial forces and began a policy of isolationism.
By the time of 200 ABY, the Consortia are now on diplomatic enough terms with the Empire and Alliance. While officially neutral, they are known for often hiring out their navies and Witches as mercenary forces to both Alliance and Empire forces.
Faction Name: The Galactic Empire
Ruler: Emperor Ashan Draco, Embodiment of the Force, Defender of the Galaxy, First Triumvir, and eight-year old boy. Largely manipulated by the Moff Council.
Capital: Bastion
Force Adepts: The Imperial Knights, a militant offshoot of the Jedi who wield white lightsabers and wear red cortosis armor. Highly disciplined if not serene like their predecessors.
History: After the fall of the Triumvirate, the Face of Death regarded the Alliance as a rebel against the true heir to the galaxy, themselves. In response, Admiral Huron Wellk declared his own faction to be the true heir to the imperial throne. But not long before the Empire could destroy its rival once and for all, the Mandalorian Church began the Second Crusade.
Now, while the Galactic Empire holds the most legitimacy of all five factions, it slowly loses ground to the Mandalorians and Ro’ik’o Vong while increasingly employing Consortia mercenaries to achieve its goals.
Faction Name: The Alliance of Free Worlds
Ruler: Lady Admiral Khara Siina, a Nautolan ranger.
Capital: Corellia
Force Adepts: Alliance Ranger Corps, warriors wielding the bayoneted rifles known as siang lances and the protective shield gauntlets. Their trainees are known as Squires, while full members are simply called Rangers and high-ranking members Lords.
History: Backed into a corner once again by competing and often superior forces after the collapse of the Triumvirate, the Alliance was forced to rely on mass-integration of the minor and relatively unknown Kilian Rangers Force doctrine.
Surprisingly, the result was a major success. The hierarchy of the Kilian Rangers was adopted into almost all Alliance ranking systems, and soon Alliance forces were, for once in decades, able to hold their own even against the likes of Imperial Knights and theocommandos.
Faction Name: The Ro’ik’o Vong
Ruler: Supreme Overlord Zhanulb Duman, a former slave miner who’s renowned for his ferocity in battle. He’s said to have lost his right eye when he was stabbed in the eye with a vibroblade, after which he ripped it out and ate his own eye. Many Ro’ik’o Vong banners feature the image of a blade with an eye at the end.
Capital: Zonama Sekot
Force Adepts: The Sei, or “magicians” in Bothanese. Wielding Yuuzhan Vong biotechnology, their techniques are primarily focused on redirecting and nullifying what the enemy does first.
History: After the disastrous Battle of Caamas, Admiral Gar Stazi consolidated almost all leftover Alliance forces in a desperate bid to keep the faction relevant in galactic geopolitics. Without many resources to spare on defending the very race that had provoked their fall from grace, Stazi left the low ranking officer Ghin Loxar to protect Yuuzhan Vong territories.
But without oversight, Loxar’s forces seized control of Zonama Sekot and subjugated the Yuuzhan Vong people as slave laborers. In a cruel twist of irony, the race renowned for biotechnology were forced to build a droid fleet to bolster Loxar’s military power.
Loxar’s regime displayed levels of bigotry not seen since the Galactic Empire under Palpatine. Yuuzhan Vong, and to a similar extent Bothan prisoners from ar’kai raids, were forced into bondage while humans were the only species allowed in government.
After nearly fifty years under Loxarian rule, the slave miner Zhanulb Duman gathered a group of followers as the Ro’ik’o Vong movement, meaning “children of enemies [ideas]” to recognize how their culture had been born from the union of Bothan and Yuuzhan Vong peoples. Within five years Duman’s forces had taken back control of Zonama Sekot, and within another five, the local quadrant.
Czerka-13 Blaster Carbine: The most common laser arm in the galaxy. Developed in collaboration after Czerka Arms bought out the failing Blastech Industries in 193 ABY. Can sear through most Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War era armors, but modern alloys deflect it well enough.
Siang Arms: Based on the original technology of the Kilian Rangers. The Alliance Ranger Corps has adapted the original weapon into myriad different forms, some say even more than the lightsaber during the apex of the Jedi. While the original Siang lance, the “short Siang” remains popular among the Corps, many members are known to use long Siangs, a mix of larger sniper rifles and longer blades. Beyond these two types, Siang lances occur in dozens of different varieties depending on the preference of the wielder.
Kilian Shield: These are personal defense shields carried by Alliance Rangers. As with Siangs, their variety exceeds that of the lightsaber by far. Some prefer the traditional bracers wielded by the original Kilian Rangers, but other varieties, even full armors generated by the devices, are not unheard of. Popular models include the shield greaves which can be used to create platforms to travel on, and the shield nexus modifications which can draw power from multiple shields to form larger ones.
Mandalorian Jetpack: The newest, latest generation of propulsionary devices. These usually take the form of small turbines that can fold out of armor across the body. They work by releasing massive amounts of energy to create flight, though the heat of the turbines is too dangerous to be born without the accompanying armor.
Yammka Kas(‘o): “killer sentry” or “guard” in the Roiko Vong pidgin language. Assassin droids heavily augmented with biotech.

Please use this format when creating characters:
Name:
Race:
Gender:
Force Tradition (Ignore if not applicable):
Personality:
Appearance:
History (optional):
Possessions:
Here’s an example character I whipped up:
Name: Koyia Nu (Koyi’anu)
Race: Rutian Twi’lek
Gender: Female
Force Tradition (Ignore if not applicable): Alliance Ranger Corps
Personality: Born the daughter of wealthy first-generation immigrants on the Alliance capital of Corellia, Koyia took quickly to the Corps and soon earned her status as a full Ranger. However, even as a born and raised Coreillian, Koyia always took special interest in the culture of her home planet. Even as most Twi’leks are completely disconnected from their native culture, she eagerly seeks information about Rylothian history and traditions, resenting the stereotypes placed upon her race by the rest of the galaxy.
Appearance: Koyia is an aquamarine-skinned Twi’lek with two long, thin Lekku usually coined tightly around her neck. She wears the red-accented overcoat of the Alliance Rangers down to her hips and keeps her long Siang strapped diagonally to her chest with a leather strap. She tends to favor the tight, but not revealing clothing style of more conservative Rylothian circles.
Possessions: Long Siang, dual shield gauntlets, and shield greaves. Gauntlets contain shield nexus modifications.
None yet!
