Cade is athletic, almost petite, in stature, her naturally small frame covered in muscle and tattoos on pale skin. Much of her skin is scarred, largely in thanks to her affinity for reckless behaviour and her distaste for the medical system. Where she is not banged up and bruised, Cade is freckled or tattooed. Perhaps most notably about Cade is her fiery red hair, a signature feature that she takes a lot of pride in.

    Cadence Claire Adams is the eldest of the two Adams children, born eight years before her half-sister Carly. She grew up in a small Glasgow flat with her mother, a convenience store cashier, eventually her little brother, and a variety of her mother's boyfriends over the years.
    
    To say that Cade's childhood was turbulent would be a vast understatement. Her mother was never shy in making it known that she never really wanted kids and that Cade was more of a barrier to her goals rather than an addition to her life. Her mother had dreams of going to college, having been freshly graduated from high school and seeing an older man when she found out that she was pregnant with Cade. The young pregnancy meant that she and Cade were kicked from Cade's extended family to fend for themselves without support from friends, family, or Cade's father. Cade spent a lot of time by herself and found herself maturing very quickly. Always a tough kid with a knack for finding herself in trouble, Cade was a good student with a student record a mile long for everything from punching someone to graffiti. She may have been able to take care of herself and keep herself warm while her mother was out doing who knows what with who knows who but she always made it abundantly clear that she was unhappy with her arrangements.
    
    When Cade was seven, her mother entered a serious relationship with a man whom Cade hated. The feeling was very much mutual between the two. Cade's home became tense and eventually physically and emotionally abusive. Around a year later, Cade's little sister was born. Cade was the only one excited by this development, placing herself into the position of a protective and caring big sister faster than her mother could lash out and destroy their lives even further out of disdain for her new daughter. While her home life got worse with Cade's now-step-father becoming more angry by the day and her mother finding comfort in bottles of cheap alcohol, Cade had a found a new glimmer of hope.

    Life seemed to sort itself out a bit once Cade hit her teen years. Her grades remained good enough to not cause conflict in the home, she had less time to get into trouble with her new responsibilities with her sister. Her step-father's anger seemed to mellow out, her mother started drinking less. Things were finally looking up for Cade.
    
    As Cade aged, the troubles only returned. Her mother and her husband took their anger out on each other and Cade, who refused to let her sister experience the same things she did as a younger child, often stood in the way and took a lot of the brunt of the force. Her grades began to slip, she began to skip school in favour of working so that she could save up enough money to move out with her sister. Cade graduated, but just barely.
    
    She had a clear cut plan: work all summer, save up enough to pay a few months worth of rent, and leave with her sister. She was almost eighteen, she could do it. All she had to do was keep the tension low and the hopes high.
    
    When her mother caught wind of Cade's plan, Cade's entire world blew up. Her parents claimed that Cade was making all the pain and suffering up, that she was going to kidnap their daughter. After a series of arguments ensued, Cade woke up one morning with all of her stuff gone along with her entire family, leaving her in a near empty apartment with an eviction notice on the door.

    Cade was on her own in the world, now with limited funds, a poor education, no steady job, and now, no place to live. She left the apartment that day with nothing but the clothes on her back and the small wad of cash in her pockets. It was difficult to find a job when she had no fixed address and no formal work experience anywhere that could get her a job with a salary high enough to pave the way to comfort.
    
    For a long time, Cade lived rough on the streets of Glasgow, moving to live for a few months with another girl she had met on the streets in Dundee before moving back. The work Cade did was unsavoury and often criminal, mostly theft related. She was sneaky and clever, finding her knack in working her way up to stealing more expensive items before reselling them at half the cost on the street. But she knew she could make more, do more. She had to if she was going to find her sister.
    
    Once she was old enough, Cade began to frequent bars. She was young, pretty, had a good alcohol tolerance and a bite to her words. Men ate that shit up and Cade knew it. Why steal when they'd do the work for her?
    
    She developed a routine, a ritual almost. Cade would hit up the worst dive bars in town, flirt with older men and get their hopes up that they'd be getting with her before the night was out. She'd buy a few rounds on a tab that didn't belong to her, play a few rounds of pool with the wager on having another drink. When the men were good and drunk, she'd take them back to whatever hotel room they decided to rent. They'd sit, talk, drink some more, flirt.
    
    He'd pass out before anything happened and Cade, satisfied with her work, would steal anything of value they had on them: wallets, car keys, phones, watches. Off she'd go, pawning off the stuff as she went. No one ever suspected the beautiful young woman as the criminal.
    
    Cade wasn't proud of this lifestyle. She had to kick it, develop a real life, really make something of herself. This is when she encountered Lilith Jesper, a music manager from Los Angeles. The two originally hit it off as good friends, Cade had zero interest in pursuing music. After a few drinks and some partying, the two began spit-balling ideas for a new song for one of Lilith's clients. Impressed with Cade's seemingly natural aptitude for music, Lilith encouraged Cade to look into music lessons. Reluctantly, Cade agreed.
    
    It seemed to be overnight that Cade's entire life changed. Upon discovering a new talent in music, Lilith quickly flew Cade out to LA to work with her label. Cade's start was slow and rough as Cade lacked the experience and training that many of her competitors had. Still, she persevered. Cade moved to LA full time at twenty one, produced her first single a few months later, her first concert a few weeks after that. It was hard work, many nights filled with late music lessons and worried pacing, but Cade finally made it. Just over a year after her arrival in Los Angeles, Cade produced her first album.
    
    As her popularity began to grow, Cade's music skills grew faster. When the opportunity came to apply for Starlight, Cade jumped at the chance to continue to grow in personality, skill, and popularity. All she can hope is that her dark and gritty past doesn't get in the way again.

    Sometimes, Charlie's personality and desires can go sporadic. They change rapidly with little to no thought behind them. Charlie likes to have fun, it can be difficult for her to find the line before she's crossed it.     Charlotte 'Charlie' May Howell was born on January 24th, 2001 in Toronto, ON, Canada. Charlie is the youngest of the Howell children and is the result of a rather torrid relationship between her mother, Amelia Howell, and a business man from Arizona. Her parents had gotten together while her father was in town on business and left long before Charlie was born, never even bothering to check in with the family even though he was well aware that he now had a daughter. The lack of father never stopped Charlie from bonding with her older brothers, Jason (28), Matthew (31), and Alex (34), from her mother's first marriage. It wasn't until Charlie had started school that she was told she had a different father than her brothers. Charlie never cared much about the logistics of her family unit though and never had much of an interest in finding her father.
    
    Financially, the Howells struggled but as a family, they were incredibly close. Where Charlie lacked a father, her big brothers made up for him in spades. Where money was tight, her brothers and mother worked overtime. Charlie was encouraged, nourished, loved. Without this support, Charlie really doubts that she would be where she is today.
    
    From a very young age, Charlie loved anything to do with music. She would dance to any song at any time in any place (even though Jason was forever embarrassed by this), would make instruments out of household materials. Her family worked hard to save up money for a second-hand guitar and lessons for Charlie's eighth birthday, an event that inevitably led to Charlie falling absolutely in love with music. She practiced hard, would play for anyone that would listen, and eventually started busking in the streets during her freshman year of high school. It was there that she was noticed by a recruiter for a music company called Starlight Industries.

    Charlie showed a lot of promise in her musical career. The YouTube channel she posted covers and original songs to was rapidly gaining traction, she began booking small local gigs that eventually turned larger. This was all thanks to a manager at Starlight whom managed to get Charlie into a prestigious art academy in Toronto run by the company.
    
    Taking every possible opportunity, every lesson, every bit of advice, Charlie was highly successful with her career in her youth. Upon graduating at the top of her class with honours from high school, Charlie was signed by Starlight. She produced her first album shortly after which brought her moderate success. However, wanting a backup plan, Charlie decided to focus on getting through university before she continued her career.

    After being accepted into an arts university in Los Angeles, Charlie packed up and moved to the USA to attend school. The entire time she was studying music theory, she was writing songs, recording them in her dorm room closet. During her three year degree, Charlie recorded several EPs that all had high levels of success. Playing small concerts at private venues filled her weekends, trips back home taking up much of her extended spare time. It was difficult to be away from her family, hard to be entirely on her own, yet Charlie remained dedicated to her work.

Amelia's never been afraid to stand out from the crowd. She often lose herself in her own thoughts, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. From the moment she wakes up, her mind is buzzing with ideas, questions and insights. At times, she finds herself conducting full-fledged debates in her own head.

In addition, she is often happy to play devil's advocate in order to keep an interesting discussion humming along. Amelia was born and raised in the London Borough of Bromley to Arthur and Olivia Rose, two rather poor working class people. Together with her three siblings she grew up in a cramped apartment with a quite bohemian inspired lifestyle. Always surrounded by music and art, Amelia knew at an early age that she wanted to go the artistic route. After all, her mother was a music teacher at the local elementary school and her father a struggling painter. Instead of sports the Rose family made sure to have their kids in more creative extra curricular activities such as musical, theater, band and so on.
As a child Amelia was very easy-going and fun-loving, most of the time she sat in her room drawing or playing house with her younger sisters. At an early age she used to sit next to her mother by the piano and sing, which she absolutely loved. Out of all the children Amelia was the one with the most interest for music, often dreaming away about her rockstar vision.
Her parents were far from rich, there was always food on the table but that was about it. Most of her clothes were hand me downs from her brother and other relatives. (This might be an explanation to her tomboy-streetwear clothing style.)

During Amelia's school years she quickly became a victim of bullying for being poor. While all her classmates told her about all of the travelling their families had done Amelia had nothing, a Rose vacation was going to the local mall once a year. She was often laughed at for not having the newest clothes, a phone, money and so on. This really messed with her self-esteem leaving her without friends for many years to come.
In order to make it appear like she at least owned more clothes than she used to swap clothes with her siblings.
During her High School years, she came home one day to find their apartment swamped with police officers. Her father had been arrested for abusing Olivia, her mother. Her father was found guilty of domestic violence and lost custody of all the children. As soon as all the legal proceedings were done they quickly made a move out of Great Britain to the other side of the pond. Her new home was now placed in Boston, Massachusetts. Luckily her aunt Maria followed along in order to help the family, it wouldn't have been easy for an uneducated single mother to take care of this mess on her own.

At the age of 21 she got her first and so far only girlfriend. This girl would later turn Amelia in to an absolute mess of a person. Amelia had always been the complete opposite of her older brother, didn't drink nor smoke, never stayed out late and was always up early in the morning. The girl she fell for was a party-animal and an overall bad person. From 20 to 21 Amelia went from being Mrs. Goody Two-Shoes to someone who partied each and every night. She began drinking, taking drugs and losing focus of where her life was going. She got a snap back to reality when she saw her girlfriend making out with another guy and later found out she'd been unfaithful to her since day one.
That's when she began cleaning up her life and decided to focus on her music career.

    Rebellion whispers throughout all of Auguste's core. Though, perhaps not in the way that people would expect at first. When talking of rebellion, often violent acts of teenage revelry spring to mind. And indeed, this used to be Auguste's way through life with violent tendencies and anger and spite getting him through the day. But to Auguste, this is not true rebellion. Instead, this is what the world was trying to beat into him: a dog eat dog mentality where the strong survive and the weak are cast aside. Society has presented two options for Auguste: roll over and allow abuse to continue, or scream and fight for survival. And instead of taking either of those paths, he has instead decided to carve out his own way of doing things. Mild manners and a politeness mask a steel spine. A chain of being beaten and beating others broken into a gentle way of going about his life in pacifism.
    
    Though, some things cannot be helped, and with a life marked with as much tragedy and bad decision making, he's grown to be quite secretive about his own past.     An up and coming ballet dancer and a late night nurse. She gave up everything for him, and he gave her the world in return, becoming world renowned. But, alas, an accident led to injury which led to early retirement for the dancer and they moved back to his home country for warmer weather and family. This was the situation where Auguste (born Julien Auguste Cortes Martin) was born, breathing new life back into the troubled couple's lives. And for a while, his light outshone the darkness that had befallen the beleagured dancer as an intense and ravenous hunger for the arts seemed to be instilled in the baby from birth. Favors were called in from professionals in the industry, discounted or free lessons, and the child was put into dance lessons and music lessons from a young age. A strict regimen of rehearsal and conditioning that he couldn't get enough of. In fact, he wanted more.
    
    Joy spread throughout the household where there had once been stress and worry. And the boy was poised to take the performing arts industry by storm: labelled one of the most gifted child prodigies of his generation. His debut was at an equally tender age, where he easily swept competition after competition. But a child cannot block out demons for very long, and soon the fledgling family found its first taste of tragedy: the father's despair leading him to take his own life. The boy finding the body.     Resentfulness burned in his mother's heart. Resent at everything that had led her to this point, but there was no release from this anger. There was only a dead man, and the child that they'd raised together. So, she began to take out her anger on the only thing that she had left. She loved Auguste. But she also hated him. She wanted nothing to do with him, but she couldn't let him go.
    
    So, Auguste became increasingly abused, and they moved countries once more to Paris, France in order to isolate him from his father's extended family which were worried about the sudden changes in personality the two had undergone. There, Auguste was bullied - and a tormentor eventually softened into Auguste's only friend: Charlie. Charlie was the son of farmers, but exceedingly old money, and Auguste found himself half-adopted by him.
    
    The only bad thing? Auguste was gay, and Charlie's family (and by extension Charlie) were very Catholic. So when Auguste confessed feelings to Charlie, he was cast out from that safe haven where he was almost immediately joined a gang in order to feel like he was wanted where he became one of the most loyal and violent members. See, when your life is nothing but pain and misery and suffering, you gain an excellent pain tolerance... And when that gets weaponized in fights, you become almost indestructible.
    
    But Auguste is fundementally a gentle creature, so being absolutely violent crushed his soul until he tried to kill himself in which Charlie finally got over himself and attempted to patch things up with Auguste. Charlie then proceeded to continually guilt trip Auguste into doing things with him like starting a band or doing ballet lessons or teaching him how to play guitar in order to eat up more and more of Auguste's time; therefore, successfully untangling the boy from the gang life. Auguste managed to get a scholarship to a prestigious arts school in the States... and so went Auguste's escape, his major?     It's all well and good to say that he'd been liberated from his abusive household, but adjusting to life outside of that pressure cooker of pain and trauma was immensely difficult, and more often than not, he found himself wondering if he was better off dead than continuing to stagger his way through life. He was lost and he was confused with where to go now. For so long, his goal was to escape, and once he'd done that, he wasn't sure if ballet was the way he wanted to continue. It had been his father's dream, but it wasn't really something to call his own despite the professional success he was finding. And the new personality he'd tried to build for himself felt wrong and disgusting. Eventually, epiphany struck and he found that he was far happier as a musician rather than as a dancer. It was a time for growth, and to shed his own hateful skin until he became something... more authentic. And it was this authenticity that found himself in a strange elevation. His grandparents came back into his life, he slowly began turning heads with his music and... he got a boyfriend? More than that, it was his polar opposite. Instead of wrapping himself in meek politeness, his opposite was confident - arrogant even. Everything that Auguste couldn't even imagine for his own life. Loved. Rich. But horribly similar to himself, in his own... odd way.

    Spontaneous at best, reckless at worst. It's nothing short of a minor miracle that Graham has lived to see his mid twenties. Hedonistic, he'll chase pleasure when it comes. A fuck boy posessing a certain dirty sense of humor. He finds immense joy in making people that seem morally upstanding and stiff uncomfortable with his mere presence. Though, perhaps it shouldn't be as shocking as it first appears - as none of his actual hookups have much bad to say about him despite his nature. When it all gets down to it, Graham is reliable in a crisis - a good listener. And at his best, he gets almost kind.     A shockingly traditional household, strict roles were implemented from a very young age. Graham was the eldest of twins - born an exact minute before his sister Aoife. His role was the caring older brother. The one that carried all of the responsibilities, and the one that got in trouble when Aoife got in trouble. So, Graham got very good at getting Aoife out of trouble when she got a bit heated and beat some kids up. But this came at a cost to his reputation as he quickly gained a reputation for being a carefree asshole. This didn't really matter, though, because Aoife was safe.
    
    They went camping one week. It was supposed to only last two nights, but then they were gone for an entire week and a half. Eventually, a search party went out and found Graham slowly wandering home, covered in blood.

    The strict traditions of the home hadn't seen deviation like the death of a child, and it couldn't uphold any of the minuscule amounts of joy that Graham had previously been able to find. He was saddled with the burden of having to go to a school where everybody knew him as the asshole that got away with everything.
    
    He found that people were uncomfortable with his kindness or his grief. They didn't actually care about his loss, they just wanted to return to a normal where Graham was comfortably an asshole. So, he started leaning into his reputation more and more. And losing more of his kindness until he was someone new.

    Being a performer, intrinsically, is about 40% charisma. And Graham had that in spades. The other amount was easily made up in a complete devotion to his craft. It was the only journey that he felt he could take. But his parents did not approve of his dreams and cast him out as soon as he was legally old enough. It did not deter him, and he's slowly built himself up as a songwriter, a producer, and lastly, a performer.

    A passionate fellow at the very least, Aurelian is chiefly described as having a deep seated need for perfection. Those who work hard are given their just reward, and that has never been more true than with him. Despite his propensity for arrogance, it's not out of unearned desperation for approval. No, he couldn't stand for that. Instead, any ego that he's built for himself has been painstakingly earned through hardwork and fighting until he knows for an absolute fact that he is the best in the room.
    
    That is, of course, until someone shows him up and beats him. And then the cycle of laboring and toiling until he's improved and fixed his mistakes that he's been shown and he's ready to fight again. He absolutely despises losing and as such fights with everything he has to remain on top. When he decides to tackle a project, he's going to give it everything he's got, or else it just isn't worth doing. And if he fails, then clearly he wasn't up to scratch and he has to fix whatever little bug inside of him there is. Anybody that can't rise to his level or commit to this same "all or nothing" mentality is not worth his time or energy.
    
    He's quick to anger, as is the type of person who is singularly devoted to making themself the best. And nothing frustrates him more than mistakes: both on his side, and on anyone else's side. But he takes the approach of "don't be sorry, be better." Mistakes faced with excuses or "external factors" or the passing of blame onto anything else is met with a fast and intense fury that is unleashed upon the poor soul. A lifetime of discipline doing nothing to quell absolute fury at complacent incompetency. But it should be noted that he never directs his wrath towards anything outside of what he's currently raging at, besides perhaps his immediate environment. It is never directed at those that did nothing wrong. Nor does he ever actually hold a grudge (provided that the person fix their mistake).
    
    This does not make him the most cuddly of people, but at the very least he's consistent. Affection and praise are not to be given freely, but to be earned through work and skill. Talent can only bring you so far if you don't work to cultivate it.
    
    Despite this anger, he doesn't get emotionally hurt very easily, which might surprise people. And he has a very callous way of viewing things. As long as you're alive, then the worst thing has not happened to you. Anything less than that is not worth getting sad over.     Aurelian, depsite his haughty nature, was actually born and discarded quickly and taken to an orphanage in Southern Italy. He did what he had to to survive that. And he was quickly declared "not suitable for adoption." And not suitable for adoption meant he got sent to a foster family for a while to get rehabilitated.
    
    That did not happen, and he was sent back within the month even more furious and desperate than before. It was such a genuinely awful experience that he fixed himself up, fought the other little children for any kind of privilege that he could possibly grab.
    
    A family came by, rich, and they wanted a hard worker, and an older child. So they pointed at Aurelian, and beckoned him into their lives.     He was given a chance at a better future, and moved to Northern Italy. There, he quickly melted seamlessly into a role: the role of the rebellious younger brother. The temperamental younger brother that fought people and swore and got tattoos and pierced his ears. But he never forgot the generosity that he'd been extended. He excelled in the extracurriculars that he was given to do (boxing and martial arts to "help channel aggression") and he managed to get some of the highest marks in his class. He worked. And he worked hard.

    Axel genuinely enjoys his hobbies. If someone asks, he can talk about them for hours. Not on purpose, it’s just word vomit. He can’t help it, it’s just nice to have little joys and to love things in this world.

  Artemis was born into a very, very
  religious and conservative household. He had only one
  older brother, Louis, who was about a year older than
  him. Despite his parents' strict rules, it was a pretty
  loving household. Artemis grew up, for the most part,
  believing every word of his parents' and the church,
  and it was only in his teen years that he started to
  question both his belief and sexuality. As he grew
  older, he became very close with his brother; they were
  practically best friends from when Artemis was 10
  onwards.
  
  Artemis, aware of his parents' opinions on homosexuality,
  didn't come out to them for a while when he was a teenager. He did experiment just a little with how he
  dressed, and they expressed dislike for this, but allowed it
  to an extent. As he got older, it became harder and harder
  for Artemis to hide who he was to his parents. They were
  still very loving, so he assumed that even if they weren't
  okay with his sexuality, they would still accept him in some
  way. As he grew older, unsurprisingly, so did his brother,
  who announced at 19 that he would be moving out and
  travelling to another state.
  
  Artemis was heartbroken - this was his best friend, and he
  was going to be gone for the foreseeable future.
  Artemis felt betrayed and abandoned, and so he and Louis
  argued, and Artemis said many things that he would later
  regret. A few weeks later, shortly after moving out, Louis
  was killed in a car accident. Artemis, distraught and
  destructive, came out to his parents during this time,
  thinking that their shared grief would make them more
  accepting and empathetic, and desperate to feel loved by
  someone.
  
  This was not the case. 18 years old, he came out, and his
  parents couldn't accept it. They said that they still
  loved him and would pray for him - which only upset
  him more - but they wouldn't accept his homosexuality.
  Although they told him he could still live under their roof,
  Artemis didn't want to do that if he couldn't be himself,
  so as soon as he was acceptedinto college, he 'moved out',
  although he didn't have much money so he couch-surged
  at friends' houses. Having not grieved properly over his
  brother's death, Artemis would have done anything to
  numb the pain - and he developed an addiction to alcohol.
  
  Perhaps the ultimate kicker was the news that his
  mother was pregnant, after not having had a child for
  18 years. Artemis knew that this was his parents' attempt
  to replace what they'd lost with Louis' death, and it
  threw him into a rage. At this point, he started
  experimenting recklessly with drugs, and soon became
  addicted to anything that made him drunk or high.
  Two years after Louis' death, Artemis was still homeless,
  but now in a much worse mental and physical state
  than ever before. The turning point was when one of
  Louis' friends contacted Artemis, saying he had Louis'
  old keyboard.
  
  Louis had played piano and keyboard as a hobby, and
  was hardly a musician, but Artemis felt like something
  needed to be done to honour Louis. Artemis had been a
  big fan of poetry in school, and figured songwriting
  couldn't be much different. Using YouTube, he learned to
  sing and to write and play music, and soon he was busking
  to earn money for food. Louis' friend - who was also a
  casual partner of Artemis', mostly because it gave him a bed to sleep on - encouraged Artemis to audition for
  Starlight Industries, and offered to pay for any costs.
  Artemis, figuring he had nothing to lose, went ahead and
  auditioned, and was shocked when he was part of the
  group to make it to the next stage.

    To most, Julian is an enigma, emotionless and unknowable. Few may call him an enemy, and even fewer describe him as the worst thing he could possibly think of: likable. No, Julian isn't your friend, he isn't even polite to strangers. How anyone (Jackson) could want to spend time with him is beyond him. Not that he cares. As long as he's entertained, Julian isn't adverse to having some company. Especially when that company is constantly willing to get into as much trouble as he is.
    
    For anyone else, Julian is used to brushing them off. Best to intimidate them early so he doesn't have to deal with them later. If that doesn't work, he will reluctantly put more effort into pushing people away, antagonizing them to the point of not trying anymore. The fewer people prying into his life, the better.
    
    While he'd like to make you believe he's unnuanced and surface level, that's far from the truth. Surprisingly, Julian is an actual human being. And like almost every other human being, he likes Minecraft, bites his nails, and is scared of bugs. Don't mention it though. Seriously, don't. Thomas always have an impact on his immediate surroundings – the best way to spot him at a party is to look for the whirling eddy of people flitting about him as he moves from group to group. Laughing and entertaining with a blunt and earthy humor, he loves to be the center of attention. If an audience member is asked to come on stage, he volunteers – or volunteers a shy friend.
Theory, abstract concepts and plodding discussions about global issues and their implications don’t keep him interested for long. He keeps the conversation energetic, with a good dose of intelligence, but he likes to talk about what is – or better yet, to just go out and do it. Niamh benefitted from a privileged upbringing during her childhood, unaware of any of the forthcoming disagreements with her parents. Her parents sent her to board at a private Christian girl’s school from the age of 5, before transferring her into a public school at age 13. The decision to transfer her was a matter of her parents no longer finding it worthwhile to cough up the tuition fees - Niamh showed little motivation towards schooling, was disobedient, and downright resentful of her parents, despite whatever money they would throw at a situation to fix it.

The truth was, Niamh suffered from a lack of relationship with her parents, and by the time she got to know them when she was a teenager, irreconcilable differences had developed between them. Niamh disagreed with her parents’ strict Christian beliefs and resented them for sending her away for the entirety of her childhood. She couldn't stand the people they were, resulting in a spiral of punishment and rebellion.

The one thing Niamh could lose herself in was music; she adored to play and write songs. She found herself enjoying the past time of submerging herself in lyrics, disconnecting from the real world for as long as she pleased. She relished in fashioning melodies, verses, choruses, from lyrics to drums to guitar. Music was a comfort blanket through all the feelings of rejection and anger she developed as she aged.

Back in Healdsburg, California - her hometown - Niamh did whatever it took to stay out of her parents’ way. If being in their presence couldn't be avoided, she rejected them and there ideals blatantly. She began truanting from school, stealing from her parents' wallets, and publicly humiliating them with her rebellious behaviour. Niamh grew close with her younger sister who was slowly becoming more aware and less immune to their parents' conservative bullshit.

Niamh had one friend she could rely on; her best friend, Kian. He was more than aware of the type of people Niamh's parents were, and also elected to stay well clear of them.

It was around this time when Niamh felt more confident in herself, and with her sexuality. She realised that her attraction to other girls was often greater than her feelings towards boys. At age 16, Niamh took it upon herself to seduce the town church choir. It was what her parents perceived as "sexual deviancy" that led to the complete breakdown in the relationship between Niamh and her parents. They finally refused to house her or her “behaviours” any longer.

Niamh was once again kicked out by her parents. Their final act before complete estrangement was to once again return her to a Christian girl’s school out in the middle of Washington; the difference being that this time they relinquished all parental rights. To say she fucking hated it was an understatement. Barely graduating out of high school, she was finally free. She had lost all connections to her youth – Kian included. Her Grandma in Seattle took her in, allowing her the space to do the one thing she was passionate about: her music. In fact, she made herself a good little following up in Washington. That’s when her Grandma showed her an article she found: Starlight Industries. The rest is history.

In addition to her father, Edmond Hepburn, having a whole other family with his ex-wife, including another daughter (Rosie's half-sister, Ophelia), her father began cheating on her mother, Laialee, when Rosie was 7. The fights were bad and every time Laialee tried to leave, Edmond would go mad; breaking glass, throwing objects, and threatening to take Rosie and run away. It took a toll on Rosie's mother and she stayed, because every single time, Edmond swore it would never happen again. By the time Rosie was 10, Laialee was on antidepressants and had turned a blind eye to Edmond's various affairs. Rosie tried very hard to develop a relationship with her half-sister but was often times ignored, and this led to her feeling very lonely throughout her childhood. At age 13, Rosie was put in therapy after an attempted suicide. Her therapist encouraged her to write and this helped her discover her love for songwriting and singing. When she turned 14, her parents discovered their daughter had musical talent and enrolled her in singing lessons with a very famous singing coach. During her fourth lesson, the coach sexually assaulted her.
  
  For two years, Rosie refused to sing or write again. She never opened up about her assault to anyone and eventually, the pain and fear turned to anger as she slowly came to terms with what happened to her. That was when her songwriting and life took a turn for the best and her career began to slowly take off. By the time she was 19, Rosie had a journal full of carefully crafted, lyrical masterpieces. Although she kept and still keeps this journal hidden, she began performing at local concerts and even landed herself a gig as the opening act for a more popular artist. By the time she was 20, Rosie began getting booked for her own small shows. She released her first single on her 21th birthday. Her fifth and latest single, Idontwannabeyouanymore, was released right before her 23rd birthday and gained her an IHeartsRadio award.
  
  It seemed as her career grew, her problems at home grew smaller. Her father was still a scumbag, but Laialee was able to get off of her antidepressants. Her daughter's career gave her a newfound hope and happiness. Her parents agreed to stay married for publicity rather than love but decided to live in separate homes. Rosie does everything for her mother, hoping that one day she can convince her mother to leave Edmond for good. He struggled with a cocaine addiction, an addiction that had him in and out of jail and rehab from age 17 to 22. The mother of his daughter is an old flame, someone that Felix now hates due to her greediness and pettiness. They met when Felix was 18, dated on and off for two years, and she ended up getting pregnant.
