Is this RP still open? This one seems like its booming and I'm looking for an RP that's up and running. I might as well select this one then. But if this RP is closed then my luck is pretty much screwed 'cause I was hoping to be here.
Just curious, can I be a genuine human character here that has a history of dealing with the supernatural? I think it will give out more variety to the story, and I also think that not every character has to be a monster too. It's an odd request since I am asking you to deviate from the norm of this RP, but I feel compelled to ask this anyway because of my desire to insert a human character here.


The human character in question will be one of those survivalist types that are always on edge because every student in this school are those monsters that he was taught to fear. He won't go out in a killing spree I'll assure you, that's because he's likely to have his guts, balls, and brains torn out of his flesh the second he makes a move. Now, he won't be the loner, he's a fairly sociable character, but interactions with him will be awkward because he's nervous being around a monster.


Why was the human in question sent to the school? His family decided to send one person to the place to learn more about the monsters. It is his mission to try to understand what makes these monsters tick, and he'll often have a diary to record his observations of these monsters.


So why would the school officials let in a human? They wouldn't if they knew he was! This human of ours has to disguise himself as a monster first, a human type of monster though. To resolve this situation, he pretends to be a wizard that can do magic. The problem is that he can't do any magic of his own, so he relies on magical objects to do the work for him. These magical objects can only do a specific type of thing such as make him invisible or burn someone with a firebolt.


The magical objects are artifacts from monster hunts that were taken from their owners, and they are powerful enough to grant human beings a fighting chance against monsters. Our human will have lots of these, because without them, he'll be defeated easily. Just be sure to inform me if I go overboard with these and make my character too overpowered so I'll rectify it immediately. I'll try my best to make a fair and well-rounded character.


If you decline, that's fine because I can come up with a ghost character instead. He'll haunt the school grounds, cross through walls, stay up late at night, and delight in plotting and initiating mischievous acts. The only true downside of being a ghost is that he can't touch physical objects.


By the way, I'm new to roleplaying, so please point out any mistakes that I make. I am willing to admit the faults I commit and correct it once I see it. I have to compensate my lack of experience with a desire to improve.

I think you have a really good idea. I'd like to see how the story goes with that. I'm not the GM though so its not my decision to make. I'm new to this too by the way. This is like my first rp ever ><

He keeps his wolf on a tight leash as it tends to get out of control once he gets angry.... so its never wise to try and engage him in a fight.

Bio: Born the youngest in a long line of pure bred werewolves, Kaleb grew up being spoiled by his parents and three older siblings. Built like a submissive he shocked everyone when he hit puberty and gained nearly 150 lbs of muscle and shot up 6 inches within a few days. ON the day of his 16 birthday his pack had been attacked by a group of rogue wolves and since his family were peaceful they were slaughtered, with Kaleb barely making it out alive. The attack brought out a darker side to him and his wolf, which he still struggles to this day to keep leashed.


Any other important details: he speaks two other languages, French and Spanish

He has to be on the lookout for other witches and wizards because they may spot him as an imposter. The good news is that he's acquainted with magic, so he stands a fair chance of bluffing his way through his entire school life. It's not uncommon for wizards and witches to use magical artifacts to enhance their power, and they'll probably treat my character as one of their own.


If that doesn't work, then my character will get shipped out of school in no time. Just try not to make other characters suddenly realize that he's not a wizard or witch without any evidence to support their claims. That's just not fair. What if your character was secretly a vampire in a human school and I blow your cover by accusing you of being a vampire? It doesn't work that way man, we don't level accusations at each other like that. However, if you have evidence to support your claim then that's a different matter, if so, bring it on. Expect my character to defend himself anyway.

Her teachers, of course, blamed her, getting it right this time, and expelled her. Has to be very careful, as she cant properly control her fire yet. She kind of misses being human, as she wasn't a danger to everyone else.

Any other important details:

She can "control" fire. She has more power when in her Phoenix form, but she wont figure out how to do that for a while. She can be extinguished with water, but fire extinguishers have no effect on her.

I'll try to be as convincing as possible, and if I fail in that then I'll be kicked out of school in no time if I'm not tortured for information on how I got here or slaughtered by school officials. Whatever you do, I beg you NOT to suddenly point out that my character is human without any reasonable explanation.


If that happens in the RP, then you'll look like a batshit insane conspiracy theorist. However, my character will be liable to make a few mistakes during the course of the RP which will jeopardize his operation. Mistakes such as subtly revealing his hatred and fear for monsters, not being able to do things that magical people can do, not being affected by things that affect magical people, and doing anything stupid in general that's likely to raise a few eyebrows. THAT'S when you can be reasonably suspicious of my character, and my job here is to make sure that my character survives this ordeal.


Anyways, right now I've got time to make my character so I'll make it sooner or later today.

  Mars is one of those people that are going through a tough phase in their lives. He wouldn't say that he's full of angst because he hates being dramatic about it, but he would say that his problems are real and that a little help would be appreciated. The sad thing is that he can't trust anyone with his dark secrets. For starters, he's a full-blown monster hunter sent to a school of these so-called "monsters" only to find out that they're just people like him, except that they happen to be monsters.
  
  
  He wants to be a good, obedient member of the family, but he doesn't want to go on a homicidal rampage on a group of hapless teenagers. He wants to be a nice guy, but he's just so insensitive at times that he comes off as extremely rude. He wishes he was born in a normal family with no problems to speak of, but instead he's been raised as a predator so fearsome that they could give Dracula a run for his money.
  
  
  Nobody gives him a break. Not his family. Not his monster-hunting friends. And certainly not the monsters he was assigned to monitor. Mars feels like he's being watched by everyone, and that if he makes one wrong move he's dead. It doesn't matter who it is since he's dead anyway.
  
  
  He feels the pressure that he has to go through, but he takes it all in full stride because he has to do it for the people he loves. On the outside, he thinks that no problem no matter how insurmountable will deter him from doing what he has to do. Yet on the inside, he's troubled by the apparent contradictions of what he thought the monsters he hated were like and what the monsters really were like.
  
  
  When Mars was younger, he fully believed in the cause, that monsters were dangerous and that they would kill people if they got the chance. Now, he slowly becomes disillusioned as his prejudice steadily falters with each casual interaction with the monsters. He hasn't realized it yet, but he's starting to accept the monsters that he has hated his entire life.
  
  
  He hasn't decided what he'll do in his life yet. He doesn't even know what to do. This is a critical moment in his life. Will he remain loyal to his family and commit his life to eradicating these monsters? Or will he betray his family and accept these monsters as people?
  
  
  As of now, he's a man whose personality hasn't been fully developed yet. Only time will reveal his true character, he will decide on his own what he will be.

  Biography: (Damn, this is too short. I'm adding more later.)
  
  
  Imagine being born into a family full of racists, but this time the racism is directed against monsters. Now, their fears are justified because monsters are inclined to disrupt the peace, rip the spine off your back, and generally ruin your day. As a boy, Mars was told that these monsters were dangerous, and they were reasonably so. After centuries of hostile relations, humans and monsters never got around to reconciling their differences with one another.
  
  
  It's pretty hard to get along when you are tempted to suck blood out of his neck as a vampire, or tear him to shreds as a werewolf, or trick him into doing something stupid as a demon, or do an endless possibility of other things to a human who was unlucky enough to stand in your way. Needless to say, these humans who were subjected to such treatment held grudges that lasted generations.
  
  
  The Denmans are one of those unfortunates who have a score to settle with those old troublemakers. In their heyday, they were a well-known clan in the wizarding world of the 20th century, famous for their exploits against the creatures of the night. So even in the past, they were notorious monster hunters. It's kind of in the blood. What touched off their everlasting war with monsters was when an alliance of vampires and necromancers banded together to exterminate every member of the Denman family for throwing their operations into disarray.
  
  
  Many died, but a hell lot more of the Denmans lived through the battle that ensued to get pissed enough to swear an oath dedicating their entire lives to monster hunting. They disappeared from the public eye a month later to wage a secret war that involved the wholesale slaughter of entire races that they deemed evil.
  
  
  Fast forward to the future and we have Mars Denman, one of the younger members of the Denman clan. Like all the Denmans before him, he was taught how to fear monsters, he was taught how to hate them, but most importantly he was taught how to fight them with his magic.

  Mars Denman grew up hating monsters all his life. Ever since he was born, he was taught that they were terrifying beasts that ate babies for breakfast and set villages on fire for fun. Every day he was told that if the humans didn't strike first then a lot of people were going to die because he didn't act. Mars never had a chance to think for himself, and he was sheltered in that little world of his all his life until he was sent on a mission to study these same monsters he feared undercover.
  
  
  He was expecting to find mountains upon mountains of gore built by countless human sacrifices to satiate the violence of these monstrosities. He was also expecting to see hideous-looking people that look way worse than guys who got hit by a train in the face. To top it all off, he expected to meet Satan, Dracula, and Ghost Rider.
  
  
  Instead, all he found was a nice-looking castle, a bunch of eccentric teenagers, and the only evil celebrity that he bumped into was a really mean scarecrow. This left him confused for a while. Were these monsters pretending to be nice? Or are these "monsters" not so horrific after all and that his parents lied to him?
  
  
  Mars just doesn't know how to react to all of this. He loves his family and would do everything he can for them, but he can't just spy on these weird teenagers and not wonder if it was worth doing after all.

I wasn't talking to you actually, I was quoting the GM in the first place. Also what's with the passive agresiveness? Don't take it personally and get off your high horse, all Im doing is trying to follow the rules of the GM's universe. Also one of the characters basically knew I was half human just by smelling me, so there's that. Jesus.

Well, that's a problem, if they can know if I'm human just by smelling me then I'd really have to come up with good excuses. It won't be impossible to pull off since there are other human monster characters here, but he'll have to pass off as a warlock or wizard.


Edit: Hmm, I have a solution for this now. It's one that will clear everything up. I don't know why I didn't bother to ask myself the question, "Why can't my character be a genuine wizard that's undercover?" I think it's much better!

  Mars is one of those people that are going through a tough phase in their lives. He wouldn't say that he's full of angst because he hates being dramatic about it, but he would say that his problems are real and that a little help would be appreciated. The sad thing is that he can't trust anyone with his dark secrets. For starters, he's a full-blown monster hunter sent to a school of these so-called "monsters" only to find out that they're just people like him, except that they happen to be monsters.
  
  
  He wants to be a good, obedient member of the family, but he doesn't want to go on a homicidal rampage on a group of hapless teenagers. He wants to be a nice guy, but he's just so insensitive at times that he comes off as extremely rude. He wishes he was born in a normal family with no problems to speak of, but instead he's been raised as a predator so fearsome that they could give Dracula a run for his money.
  
  
  Nobody gives him a break. Not his family. Not his monster-hunting friends. And certainly not the monsters he was assigned to monitor. Mars feels like he's being watched by everyone, and that if he makes one wrong move he's dead. It doesn't matter who it is since he's dead anyway.
  
  
  He feels the pressure that he has to go through, but he takes it all in full stride because he has to do it for the people he loves. On the outside, he thinks that no problem no matter how insurmountable will deter him from doing what he has to do. Yet on the inside, he's troubled by the apparent contradictions of what he thought the monsters he hated were like and what the monsters really were like.
  
  
  When Mars was younger, he fully believed in the cause, that monsters were dangerous and that they would kill people if they got the chance. Now, he slowly becomes disillusioned as his prejudice steadily falters with each casual interaction with the monsters. He hasn't realized it yet, but he's starting to accept the monsters that he has hated his entire life.
  
  
  He hasn't decided what he'll do in his life yet. He doesn't even know what to do. This is a critical moment in his life. Will he remain loyal to his family and commit his life to eradicating these monsters? Or will he betray his family and accept these monsters as people?
  
  
  As of now, he's a man whose personality hasn't been fully developed yet. Only time will reveal his true character, he will decide on his own what he will be.

  Biography: (Damn, this is too short. I'm adding more later.)
  
  
  Imagine being born into a family full of racists, but this time the racism is directed against monsters. Now, their fears are justified because monsters are inclined to disrupt the peace, rip the spine off your back, and generally ruin your day. As a boy, Mars was told that these monsters were dangerous, and they were reasonably so. After centuries of hostile relations, humans and monsters never got around to reconciling their differences with one another.
  
  
  It's pretty hard to get along when you are tempted to suck blood out of his neck as a vampire, or tear him to shreds as a werewolf, or trick him into doing something stupid as a demon, or do an endless possibility of other things to a human who was unlucky enough to stand in your way. Needless to say, these humans who were subjected to such treatment held grudges that lasted generations.
  
  
  The Denmans are one of those unfortunates who have a score to settle with those old troublemakers. In their heyday, they were a well-known clan in the wizarding world of the 20th century, famous for their exploits against the creatures of the night. So even in the past, they were notorious monster hunters. It's kind of in the blood. What touched off their everlasting war with monsters was when an alliance of vampires and necromancers banded together to exterminate every member of the Denman family for throwing their operations into disarray.
  
  
  Many died, but a hell lot more of the Denmans lived through the battle that ensued to get pissed enough to swear an oath dedicating their entire lives to monster hunting. They disappeared from the public eye a month later to wage a secret war that involved the wholesale slaughter of entire races that they deemed evil.
  
  
  Fast forward to the future and we have Mars Denman, one of the younger members of the Denman clan. Like all the Denmans before him, he was taught how to fear monsters, he was taught how to hate them, but most importantly he was taught how to fight them with his magic.

  Mars Denman grew up hating monsters all his life. Ever since he was born, he was taught that they were terrifying beasts that ate babies for breakfast and set villages on fire for fun. Every day he was told that if the humans didn't strike first then a lot of people were going to die because he didn't act. Mars never had a chance to think for himself, and he was sheltered in that little world of his all his life until he was sent on a mission to study these same monsters he feared undercover.
  
  
  He was expecting to find mountains upon mountains of gore built by countless human sacrifices to satiate the violence of these monstrosities. He was also expecting to see hideous-looking people that look way worse than guys who got hit by a train in the face. To top it all off, he expected to meet Satan, Dracula, and Ghost Rider.
  
  
  Instead, all he found was a nice-looking castle, a bunch of eccentric teenagers, and the only evil celebrity that he bumped into was a really mean scarecrow. This left him confused for a while. Were these monsters pretending to be nice? Or are these "monsters" not so horrific after all and that his parents lied to him?
  
  
  Mars just doesn't know how to react to all of this. He loves his family and would do everything he can for them, but he can't just spy on these weird teenagers and not wonder if it was worth doing after all.
