*Please note that some areas of Jeju island do NOT have snow. The only snow in Jeju island would be at the mountain near Lotte Hotel Jeju! A special event in 4 days will occur where guests will be moved up there at the snow!

Events
Christmas in two days!
tumblr_p0apkuOp2U1sxhdxso1_540.gif

There is a Christmas ball masquerade event in the upcoming two days at the Lotte Hotel Jeju in the ballroom. This is open for all guests. The requirement of attire is formal wear + masquerade mask. It is up to your character whether or not they would like to attend to this. More events may occur here in Jeju island

Time of Day (Morning/Evening/Night): DAY 1

Starting Point
Welcome to Jeju Island! The girls have arrived in Jeju island to their getaway that their boss forced them to go and the guys have either have been already been there or arrived there also. They are all in the same hotel called, Lotte Hotel Jeju on the same floor, all seperate rooms. Some may not know each other and some may have bumped into each other in the past. Currently, with nothing else to do for the girls, they will find ways to kill their 1-week vacation (7 days) off doing whatever they would like to do or stress about the worries about the boss's deal about the money until they return back to Seoul to get away from all of the scandal and rumors of the girls. Please be aware of the time of the day which would be constantly changed throughout the day. Your characters are already placed in their hotel rooms and have been "settled in" at the hotel already. This is the start of your trip of day one after arriving the night before. You may post now

Tae Hwan couldn't help but sigh as he stood behind the bar counter, fidgeting with the puzzle piece in his pocket. How he had survived staying on this island for almost a whole month he had no idea. When he had imagined coming to Jeju Island, he thought he would be here on holiday with a pretty lady on his arm for a romantic trip. They'd tour the island together, do some water sports, relax on the beach and party the night away. Instead here he was, all alone and single. He'd done the water sports and talked to other visitors but he felt bored nonetheless. None of them had been the least bit interesting and he was becoming increasingly eager to escape what was now the equivalent of exile. Next time he'd think twice before going after a mercurial woman. Especially those with a flair for dramatics. He had never expected the breakup with Mina to be easy but he certainly hadn't expected her to ambush him when he was at work when the place had been booked out by an important client for an even more important celebration. And of course, once she started something she had to go all the way calling him every name under the sun and then some. And she picked the worst possible moment to do it too. Right when he was next to the client to pass him his prized bottle of wine and said bottle of wine had been opened and poured. The man barely had a whiff before she burst through the cheering crowd to make her scene and slap him a good one right across the cheek. Her ridiculous nails had caught his skin and left him with marks that didn't fade until a few days later. And when he kept his smile and tried to calm her down the woman had snatched the wine glass out of the client's hand and sloshed it all over him. Of course one measly glass wasn't enough for her, (she'd always favoured excess) so she had to dump the rest of the bottle on him too. His boss, needless to say, had been absolutely livid that his personal affairs had interfered with work and ruined the party. He hadn't been surprised anymore when it turned out she had taken a video of the whole thing and posted it online. Even before it had been uploaded, he had already been in deep water, after...well there was no placating his boss then. He'd been kicked off to Jeju Island, with his job still intact, if only because he had been so darn good at it and never slipped up before until that ugly incident. Jeju would have been enjoyable if not for the circumstances of his arrival and the fact that he was missing out on so many parties and prior engagements. That and he had been single for almost a month now. Heck he hadn't been to a single party since he arrived and it was killing him. What he'd give to go on a date or attend one right! Anything to relieve his stress or boredom. At least Christmas was coming soon and the Lotte Hotel would be having a Christmas ball event. A masquerade ball event. That required formal wear. Lord have mercy. Was he not going to be able to enjoy himself on this island without something taking some of the fun out of it? What he'd give for something fun to happen right now. Or at least something interesting. Anything to make the remainder of his stay here more exciting. He pushed off the counter he had been leaning against, wearing an easy smile that did not reflect his mood, to make a cocktail for an old lady who had already told him her whole life story three times over. As much as he loved conversation he wasn't a fan of repetition. If only someone new would walk in through the door right now, maybe save him from hearing it a fourth time. Only with what his luck had been like recently even that was probably a long shot.

Outfit of the day:
Location: His hotel room ▻ Outside of Lotte Hotel Jeju
Mentions: N\AxxxxxxxxxMood: Irritated ▻ Refreshed

There were days when Jaewon felt like he shouldn't have gone back home to live with his parents. Yeah, he was going to inherit the company and of course, he didn't have to agonize about money in his life, but he never considered his home back in Seoul to be really....home. Jaewon was bitter about what transpired several days ago. Things occurred so swiftly--- Somin, confessing, and then the publication of her fiance. The male rolled on the bed, tossing his whole body back and forth until he ultimately gave up, kicking the blanket with a huge tantrum. "Damn it." He mumbled, sitting up on the bed. Footsteps can be heard from the hallway and Jaewon couldn't help but feel the urge to get out of the damn room for some fresh air. He jumped out of the bed, slid out the drawer nearest to him, and took out a black shirt, black pants, and slid on some white ankle-socks. The night after he checked in, Jaewon had already begun folding in his clothes to set it in the drawers in his hotel room. While he did his business in the restroom, he began brushing his teeth after he finished washing his hands. There wasn't much to respond or reflect back home and he didn't arrive in Jeju island to reminisce about the problems back at home. He wanted to get things off of his mind and first thing first, problems should not get to him. He was Jo Jaewon, a rich child who does not have to worry about hardship and labor in his life. Being so down and depressed like this was not Jaewon at all. Something like this would be something his mother would label, "A loser."

tumblr_pgb4qzEPdS1xzctfeo3_540.gif
He took a long gaze in the mirror, taking a deep breath as he closed his eyes, staring back at himself. "Alright." He exhaled, closing the bathroom door. Jaewon grabbed his phone and his wallet with his hotel card in it on the counter near his bed and walked out of his room. He strolled around the hallway for a bit to get comfortable and used to his surroundings before heading down and out of the hotel for some fresh air. Right, when Jaewon took a step outside of the hotel, god of lord.... it was cold as well. He hesitated to take another step, but then he recognized that there were people around, requiring him to man up and deal with the cold since the idiot didn't have a jacket on. He cruised through a large area packed with bright, healthy green grass and lifted both his arms, inhaling the gorgeous Jeju island air as he closed his eyes. The cold pierced through his skin, but it felt great. He didn't mind the coldness for the moment because it made him feel refreshed like it was a brand new day in a new place, even if this feeling was temporary.

the cramped plane ride to jeju really did a number on hye-rin's current state, both mentally and physically. after checking into the hotel, she ran a hand through her hair and sighed, her legs ached from the abysmally small seating area and she longed for a drink. it had been a whole week since she last downed some hard liqour, work and her parent's bakery were mostly to blame for that. as she ran through her plan for the next few hours in her mind, hye-rin scrolled through her instagram. it was kind of shocking how much you could miss in just an hour on a flight. then again, hye-rin followed over a thousand people so that's partially her fault too. she raised her brows as her thumb hovered over a video of a guy getting... 'demolished' by a girl maybe a head shorter than him. she winced as her acrylic nails whizzed across his face. "yikes." she muttered, scrolling past the video without a second thought. as she stepped into the lift, hye-rin wondered how she'd missed such an eventful video, and swore to check her social media more often.

hye-rin chucked her bags on the floor of her hotel room and scanned the area. it was nicely furnished and modern, but she didn't feel like dawdling around without a drink. she quickly tied her hair up into a ponytail and left for the bar. she'd read rave reviews about the atmosphere of the amenities in this hotel, and couldn't wait to finally see what the critics were talking about.

she was practically skipping by the time she entered the bar, elated by the thought of finally getting something to drink. the corners of her mouth turned upwards as she took in the interior of the bar. it was about what she expected. neat, clean, not that many people (probably due to the time of day), and the toilets probably didn't have the threat of scary goblin monsters that lived in the pipes or wads of wet toilet paper on the walls. in short, it was perfect. hye-rin slid herself into a bar stool next to an old woman and smiled at her warmly. "good morning ma'am." the lady smiled back hesitantly as hye-rin's attention turned to the... familiar looking bartender. "two shots of saan." she said, gesturing the number two with her fingers as her eyes lingered on the man. strange, she'd really felt like she'd seen him before.

wait.

"bad breakup guy?" she raised her brows, tilting her head in a childish manner while she stared, wide-eyed, at the bartender. she chuckled slightly, before collecting herself from the surprise of meeting such a "celebrity". she took a deep breath and continued, "sorry... i mean, you're the guy from the video right? the one with the... not-great ex-girlfriend with the acrylic claws?"

[/div][div class=largecontent][div class=lcscroll]perhaps she'd gotten up a little early. yeo-reum glanced at her phone, pursing her lips. whatever, it was more time for her to get ready. after all, she had to make an impression on their first day there. sliding her legs out from under the covers, yeo-reum stretched her arms out before getting up and heading for the bathroom.

it was a little over an hour later when the girl exited her hotel room, her hair and makeup impeccable, dressed in a warm but stylish outfit. honestly, it wasn't her warmest getup she'd brought, but it was worth it to die of hypothermia if she could look good while doing it. she knocked gently on her neighbour's door, calling out. [div class=dialogue]"yumi-ah! get up!"[/div] silence. yeo-reum pressed her ear against the door, and she could hear the faintest sound of movement. classic yumi.

lucky for her, yumi had bestowed upon her her second keycard when they'd checked in. just for this. wasn't she lucky she had such a good friend to be her alarm clock?

[div class=dialogue]"lee yumi!"[/div] she yelled as she entered, diving onto the bed. [div class=dialogue]"there's a fire! if you don't get up now you'll burn to death!"[/div] violently shaking the other girl, she watched with glee as yumi finally groggily sat up. "a fire? what fire?" punching her lightly, yeo-reum replied, [div class=dialogue]"fire as in you'll get fired by our boss if you don't get up now! how are you supposed to pick up guys in this state? i'll give you time to get ready."[/div] with a laugh, she got off of her friend and left, closing the door behind her gently.

yumi emerged eventually from her room, albeit looking slightly miffed. yeo-reum simply tugged on her arm and pulled her towards the lift. [div class=dialogue]"don't be so grumpy. if i hadn't woken you up, you'd have slept in till noon. imagine missing breakfast your first day here."[/div] she practically dragged the other girl out of the lift when they arrived, asking her joyfully what she felt like eating today. perhaps it was a little odd to find yeo-reum this happy, considering she'd been whining a little about having to go onto the trip, but it seemed she'd adjusted very well. she had little care of what their boss had asked them to think about, and had wholly decided she'd enjoy herself to the fullest for the next 7 days.

what else could she do, really?

[div class=dialogue]"c'mon, i'll treat you to anything you like. don't be mad."[/div] yeo-reum gave her best friend her most charming smile as they moved towards the exit. greeted with a blast of cold air as they passed through the doors, yeo-reum blew out a breath, watching it . boy, was it cold out. it'd probably get warmer in the afternoon, but she hoped yumi wasn't going to have too many issues. she knew she hated the cold. glancing around, her eyes landed on a guy standing in a grassy area nearby. he was just close enough for her to make out his face, and yeo-reum could tell he was attractive, but couldn't quite figure out where exactly she'd seen his face before. [div class=dialogue]"hey, how about him? you can go ask him to be your boyfriend."[/div]

Eunjoo

location: Outside the hotel | mood: hungry | mentions: Sign Sign Uxie Uxie Makomin Makomin

It was almost scary how quickly Eunjoo managed to find a tteokkbokki stand.

Having ditched the group the moment they arrived, Eunjoo had one goal in mind. She wanted to get some food. Some good, cheap food. The young woman had dropped her bags off in her room, before beelining from the hotel. Sure, there was a bar inside along with a kitchen, but it was just more to the bill. Maybe everything was covered, but she had mostly dozed off during the meeting. All the other girls had seemed worried, but Eunjoo took the trip with rather open arms. Finding a boyfriend before the end of the year would be easy, she could find a dude and he'd agree to date her for a few weeks. Then, when the assignment was over, she'd just ditch the dude. It was the easiest solution, considering it was basically impossible to find someone to 'love' in such a short amount of time. What was this, a drama? Pfft! Until they had to fly back, Eunjoo was going to make the most of the vacation.

Now standing in line to order several things of tteokbokki, she couldn't help but let her thoughts wander. What would the other girls be thinking about? Surely one of them had realized the easy loophole of their task at hand. Most dudes would instantly say yes to an attractive woman asking them out, and all the ladies on the trip were beautiful. She still didn't understand why they had to get a boyfriend, but who cares? Bosses are weird, it's better to just please them rather than get fired.

Stepping up to the stand, she grinned at the vendor. Her hat was probably the most ridiculous thing on her, more fit for a child rather than an adult. With a puffball on the top and light pink in color, it surely didn't match the rest of her grey-scale outfit. Still, some may argue the pop of color helped bring a rosy hue to her cheeks. She didn't care much for that, instead just liking the hat far too much to get rid of it. Holding up four fingers, the vendor would simply ask if she was sure about that. It was a large order, and she appeared alone. In response, Eunjoo simply gave a determined nod and placed the cash down on the table. Shrugging, the vendor moved off to cook up four large plates of tteokbokki.

By the time he was done, the line had begun to build up once again. Annoyed patrons were bouncing back and forth on their feet to avoid freezing up, but Eunjoo didn't take notice of the irked crowd. Instead, she was beaming ear to ear as the plates and boxes were set down. Two open plates, and two orders boxed for later. A specific request so she could have a midnight snack, and a possible pre-midnight snake. (Yes, she absolutely considered that a thing.) Now came the real challenge of the night. First. each hand took a box and gripped them tightly. Easy enough, they weren't even heavy. The difficult part came next, which was sliding the warm plates on either arm. Doing so took her a few seconds, but once she had them positioned, she was already walking away with a loud, "Thank you very much!" Eunjoo was lucky she had been a waiter in her previous jobs, the skills she learned there allowing her to totter across the lot towards the hotel once again.

She hadn't even noticed her two co-workers slipping free, nor the man they were oogling at. In fact, she was walking right towards said man. The woman was actually walking with her eyes shut, like some stupid character on a show. Was she truly in that much bliss from an order of spicy rice cakes?

Hello!

lee yumi
mood: groggy > curious
location: jeju hotel

she enjoyed dreaming. or to be honest, sleeping in general. as such, lee yumi had looked forward to this ""boyfriend"" getaway of theirs not just because she could enjoy eye candy and possibly find someone nice for her but also because she would be able to have a break of sorts from work. she wasn't a workaholic but she saw herself as someone as hardworking which brought her back to reality the moment a voice pierced through the veil of her dream self.

"mffffff." was all the female groaned out from under the sheet before shifting around, hoping yeoreum's voice was just a part of her dream. however, that hopeful thought was soon squashed literally as she too, was squashed from the weight of her best friend. at the sound of yeoreum's reply to the fire, yumi groaned once again before rolling onto her side, shimmying her way out from below yeoreum. "okay, okay. i'll get ready." was all she had to say before leaving her room. however, not before a loud 'thud' sounded throughout the room, evident from yumi rolling too out of bed and landing face first, a power move she adapted from a young age.

after a very warm shower and her short daily skincare routine, yumi was out of her room and managed to sober up to her usual, cheery self. "i don't know, yeoreum. i wanna fall in love with someone naturally as stupid as it sounds." the short-haired female shyly smiled to herself before the suggestion of approaching a male. she had to admit, he looked rather nice from far. maybe he was nicer up close? yumi couldn't help but nudge her best friend with her elbow before replying, "you're looking for a boyfriend too, yeoyeo. don't forget that." as the two females shared a light chuckle, they couldn't help but notice a familiar female colleague of theirs who was walking towards the direction of the male. or more like bulldozing her way as she was engrossed with her tteokbokki.

"isn't that eunjoo?" yumi said to herself aloud as she noticed how close the male from earlier and her colleague were getting.

"eunjoo-yah!" yumi called out, hoping to get her attention.

Mrs Lee had just finished maybe her fourth reiteration of how she had met her late husband, a hot local who had been smitten with her from the moment they met and came running after her everyday with flowers, chocolate and expensive gifts. "Set a high bar he did." She proudly told him. Her friends had apparently been envious of her head over heels husband who was willing to do anything for her. He for one wasn't envious of the poor man's wallet. Surely if he had enough charm he wouldn't have needed the assistance of so many gifts to win over a lady. Now if only he could find some way to get her to stop talking before he started hearing all about how fantastic he was with hands amongst other things. Seeing as no one had walked in or to the bar yet, he wasn't going to be getting any help from there. Did no one other than Mrs Lee know the joys of drinking in the morning?

He fidgeted with the collar of his black button up shirt and the sleeves that were rolled up to his elbows as he tried to think of a way to stop her. Mrs Lee had barely begun the tale of her husband's wondrous hands when a voice interrupted her with a polite greeting. Relief washed over him. Finally! He was saved! Mrs Lee had stopped in her tracks and didn't seem so eager to share anymore. Thank heavens. He turned to the newcomer, flashing a brilliant smile as she placed her order. Even better, he noted as he took in her appearance, the newcomer was a completely new face. One he hadn't seen in the hotel before. "Coming right up." He said as he turned to grab what he needed for her drinks, appreciating her appearance as much as he appreciated her rescue. She was very pretty and he couldn't help but want to know what she looked like in a more fitting outfit, maybe he'd get his chance to find out if stuck around to attend the masquerade ball. Most important of all, she drank in the morning. Perfect. He was about to pop a question when she beat him to the chase.

"Bad breakup guy?"

Tae Hwan threw back a laugh, both surprised and amused. He supposed the normal reaction would have been getting pissed or annoyed, maybe even embarrassed but he was thoroughly tickled by what she had said. He'd been grilled and teased by his friends and fellow bartenders about that particular incident but not once had a stranger really said anything about it to his face, certainly not as a greeting. Perhaps that was partly a result of being on Jeju Island the past month where people were less likely to know about that episode. Still, he was nonetheless entertained and surprised and though a surprise was probably the last thing he needed after his previous one landed him here, he welcomed it.

"Acrylic claws?" He repeated, still chuckling, "That's certainly one way of putting it. She always applied way too many layers of nail polish. Then again with her there was no such thing as too much. It's nice to meet you stranger. I'm Tae Hwan. Bartender and "bad breakup guy" as you so aptly put it. Welcome to the Lotte Hotel bar." He grinned, shaking his head as he worked behind the counter. That was probably the best laugh he had since coming here. As always people, interesting people, were the best and he couldn't wait to see what else she would say.

"So," he started, glancing up at her as he prepared her shots, "you seem to know all about me, or at least my terrible ex and her memorable way of breaking up. But I," he paused as he finished up the drink, "know nothing about you." Tae Hwan placed the drinks in front of her with a flourish and flashed his signature disarming smile as he met her eyes. "Let's see....you're drinking early in the morning so you must be a fun person." He stroked his chin thoughtfully as he studied her, throwing out his thoughts as they came. "Too pretty to work a job that keeps you hidden away, that would practically be a crime. A model on vacation? Or maybe a singer? No I don't see any bodyguards. Maybe...do you work behind the bar as well? But then anyone could learn about my memorable breakup online. So, who are you gorgeous?" He finished, an easy smile on his face as he stared at her expectantly, curious to hear her reply.

You could hear the sound of the waves crashing from the cliffs, making a loud roar that echoes from the depths. The sky was getting clear and the morning sun was shining on Jaewon's face and head. More and more people popped out from the hotel to take a walk, jog, and to tour around the place. It was still cold outside even with the sun present and the icy breeze shot through Jaewon one more time before he ducked his head in his shirt, shivering for a second as he rubbed his elbows. As he concentrated on keeping himself warm and contemplated whether or not he should bring his jacket, a lady carrying a couple of boxes in her hand walked straight to Jaewon.
He could hear a faint voice yelling out someone's name, "Eunjoo-yah!"

By the time what he realized the situation, CRASH. The boxes toppled over him and the girl crashed into Jaewon. Gravity took over Jaewon's body as he fell backward, bottoms first. The girl's legs tripped upon Jaewon's legs also, causing her to trip her food to fall towards Jaewon's shirt and her body flowing down on Jaewon's arm as he laid it out on the ground. Unconsciously, he tried clutching her waist in case she wouldn't hurt hopefully. With the breeze following through, Jaewon felt something burning through his clothes and with a sniff, it smelt spicy. "Red pepper paste?" The male uttered, groaning in pain as he fell. He felt the immediate heat on his shirt crawling through his skin now as he apprehended what was finally going on. "Y-Your food!" He cried, looking at the messy grass that was now painted in red with a couple of the rick cakes laid around the area between Jaewon and the food girl. He slightly pushed her body up with his arm, then sat up. "What the hell did you do?!" He exclaimed, pulling his shirt forward so that it wouldn't touch his skin any further. His parts of his abdominal were now red because of the food, and he began smelling like ddeokbokki. "These were branded clothes and it's all a mess now!" He complained, looking at his shirt and back at the girl. He grumbled, giving her a frown as he took a glance at the ground. White boxes laid around. Some were bent and broken and a couple was ever so slightly grazed but still damaged from the fall.

Walking back to the hotel with a happy grin on her face, Eunjoo was blissfully unaware of the tragedy that was about to unfold. All she could think about was how good her dinner was about to be, and how long it would take to go up the elevator and get into her room. She hadn't seen Yumi, and she only opened her eyes to peer at her once her name was called out. Did she want some of her food? Because no way, this was all--

CRASH.

Slamming into another body, a loud cry escaped Eunjoo. The plates and boxes of food went flying, with one in particular shoved straight into the chest of the man she was now falling with. Her hands instantly reached forward as she tried to catch herself, which just resulted in one pressing against the face of Jaewon until they both hit the ground. A moment later, she could feel the hot tteokbokki starting to sink through her clothes. A pained noise sounded as she tried to raise her head, the puffball on her hat catching against his chin as she did. It caused the hat to slump forward over her eyes, and she reached upward with both hands to try and fix it with a grumble. This meant Eunjoo was practically just sitting on the man now, before she began to hear his loud complaints. Moving backwards, Eunjoo finally shifted the hat off her eyes and stared at him with a shocked expression.

"What did I do? What did you do?!" She cried out, motioning to the tteokbokki all around them. Her own hand reached down to tug her sweater forward to avoid the burning hot sauce, a rice cake stuck in the thick fabric. A bit of sauce was smeared on her cheek, but the biggest casualty was most definitely his outfit. "Who cares about your outfit, you can just wash it! I just spent like a ton of money on all this, and it's ruined!" She whined out, reaching past him to grab one of her boxes. It was the only survivor, and she leaned forward and nearly into Jaewon as she adjusted it properly to avoid spilling more food.

"You better be buying me all of this back!" She demanded to the man as she leaned back, a pout crossing over her lips. Her perfect dinner, absolutely ruined.

The weight holding on Jaewon was pushing him down, hurting his legs as he turned to the girl that was next to him. "What did I do? What did you do?!" With an agitated cry as if she was a suspect of a murderer, Jaewon gazed at the girl, freaking out as she responded to him. "Who cares about your outfit, you can just wash it! I just spent like a ton of money on all this, and it's ruined!" The girl shrugged his problems, not being aware of her closeness with Jaewon as she leaned forward to grab one of the boxes sitting next to Jaewon. Her hat brushed across his skin as she leaned forward, staring down at the box before cursing at him. "You better be buying me all of this back!" She cried as if Jaewon was the one who bullied her. With a blank expression on his face because of how focused she was with her food, he frowned, taking out his wallet.
"One," He stated, "you do not cross paths with someone who would be standing right next to you." He shuffled around his wallet, looking for any cash that he had and took out a couple of 50,000 won as he turned to her. "Second, you do not spill anything on expensive branded clothes like this." He complained again, but this time, he didn't raise his voice because apparently, she wouldn't care about what happened to him and would rather focus on her own self first. Just like him, of course, he cared about himself too, but it seems like she probably carried all those food for someone else or a group to eat together with her. Enraged, yes he was, but he bit his tongue because he didn't want to already cause trouble here. Trouble always came after Jaewon, but on the first day of his trip away from home and barely in the morning? Good lord.

He stuck out two 50,000 won in front of her with his right hand while the two sat down. Jaewon leaned forward, giving her an icy gaze as he waited for her to accept the money in compensation for the mess. The sauce was now stained on his black shirt and the smell of ddeokbokki stenched on him and the area around the two. He was already irritated at the fact that she spilled food on him, and it seems like she had no sense of direction. "Third," He said, holding out the money in front of her, "learn to look in the right direction otherwise you're asking for trouble and humiliation."

the short-haired female and her best friend had moved closer to approaching their colleague (and the male standing) when suddenly, eunjoo had actually walked right into him, successfully dropping all the boxes that were in one hand and her cup of spicy rice cakes. yumi winced in horror as the said sauce from the dish had begin to soak right into the male's top and the female's sweater. however, it was evident that the male suffered a bigger casualty, appearance-wise.

having witnessed the scene as bystanders, yeoreum and yumi made their way closer to their friend and soon enough, an argument (on eunjoo's side, to be exact had ensued. not before long, the male from earlier whipped out some money. a lot of money. she bent down before reaching forward and picked the stray tteokbokki off eunjoo's sweater off, placing it back into the already overturned cup of what used to be spicy rice cakes. "are you alright, eunjoo? does it hurt anywhere?" she asked before helping her to straighten a few strands of hair that had gone wild from the incident.

as she did so, the male had begin to speak up on eunjoo's carelessness. of course, eunjoo was her friend and she would definitely side with her friends whenever it came to anything but the male did have a point; eunjoo should've been more careful and it was her fault for spilling her food but he didn't need to embarrass her like that. then again, eunjoo was blaming him for her mistake.

"i'm sorry for my friend...." what should she call him? she didn't know him and he was probably around their age but he is really angry, she thought to herself as she gave an evident pause before continuing, "....sir." she could already anticipate the confusion of her friends and him as to why someone their age was addressing him as such.

"but you could've been a bit nicer in your explanation." she added.

"these were branded clothes!"
"who cares about your outfit? you can just wash it!"
yeo-reum barked out a laugh that was quickly disguised as a cough, snickering quietly behind her fist before regaining her composure. eunjoo was crying out for compensation, to which the stranger quite easily whipped out a few large notes. eyeing his clothes, though they were visibly drenched in red sauce, yeo-reum could tell he was wearing expensive clothing. she was pretty sure that was one of her dad's favourite brands. who was this guy?

yumi seemed desperate to defuse the situation, fussing over eunjoo, who was still on the ground holding the only surviving box of tteokbokki. she was calling him sir. there was no way this guy deserved a sir. yeo-reum scowled at the man. she knew eunjoo was largely at fault, and the two were scarcely close enough for her to want to stick up for her no matter what, but yeo-reum hated this guy's attitude. hye-rin grinned as the bartender chuckled at her odd greeting. she liked making people laugh, even if it wasn't intentional. in fact, she was kind of worried that he'd be offended or something. she watched on as the bartender prepared her drink. she had to make sure he got it right, considering she wasn't in the mood to get a drink she didn't want. her eyes drifted from his hands to his face as she realized he was actually relatively good looking. hye-rin bit back a small smile before the man placed her shot on the bar counter. her eyes shot up as she focused on his voice and what he was saying.

before she answered, hye-rin put one finger up in a sort of "hold on" gesture, proceeding to down the two shots quickly. "ah... that hit the spot." she chuckled. she took a deep breath before continuing with her response.

"one, im not too much fun. i just like to forget than remember." she smiled, setting the shot glass down on the table. "two, i am in fact hidden in an office most of the time. i do public relations for my company." hye-rin clapped her hands together as she said that, before resting her head on her right knuckle. "three, im kim hye-rin, nice to meet you." she flashed him a friendly grin and tapped her index finger on the bar counter. "four, i don't think that was quite enough... i'd like another shot if it's not a bother." hye-rin wasn't lying about that, the two shots weren't settling in the way they usually did, kind of just had the same effect as drinking tap water.

"though, by what you said about me being "fun", i can tell you don't hang around many morning drinkers. from that i can deduce that all your friends are kind of boring." her lips split into a mischievous smirk, "you could probably use a night out. i'll treat you some time. judging from the video location, im guessing you're usually situated in seoul." she paused for a moment before she said "as friends." almost as an afterthought.

as she finished her sentence, hye-rin noticed that a man had slid into the seat next to her. he looked familiar, but she couldn't quite put a finger on it. he was handsome though, so she didn't stop herself from admiring for just a moment. she frowned slightly when she heard his request. water? at such a nice bar? it was almost a sin to waste such a nice ambience and quality liquor for some basic tap water. "you aren't a drinker?" she turned to face the newcomer. "i could recommend you some drinks if you're a lightweight you know. it would really be a shame to waste this perfect selection of alcohol, and this beautiful bar, don't you think?" she giggled, tapping her nails on the bar counter as she awaited his response, still trying to piece together in her mind where she'd seen him before.

Oh if his pals at the bars he worked could hear her speak. "His friends were boring" and he could use a night out. Pfft. Ask them and they would probably tell her the last thing he needed was a night out. Not that it had any bearing on his response. Kim Hye-rin, whose name he loved the sound of on his lips, was a pretty woman and it was his policy to never refuse a night out with a pretty woman. Unless said woman was his ex, a new condition he had added to the rule since the breakup. He smiled as he passed her a third shot and gave his response, making sure to hint with both his tone and eyes his interest in her. "I'd be more than happy for you to take me out to town back in Seoul. After spending almost the past month on this island I'm definitely going to need some help getting reacquainted with the place." That settled, his thoughts returned to her earlier statement about how fun his friends were. The lack of morning drinkers was an unfortunate part of his exile to Jeju. Back in Seoul when he was at work he was rarely behind the counter sitting on his elbows. In fact he was often swarmed with drink orders from friends and customers alike. Which was why he wasn't the least bit surprised she had asked for a third shot. Well maybe a little but then he always did make good drinks. She probably couldn't resist the idea of having a third after having a taste of the last two.

As he cleared the two empty shot glasses, Tae Hwan noted another person sliding into a seat from the corner of his eye. He was about to welcome the young man and ask him what he wanted when the guy placed his order before he could say a word. Tae Hwan raised an eyebrow, unable to hide his surprise as he rolled the words around his head like he would with his food when there was a taste he couldn't quite figure out.

Water? At a bar? Did he really just- ohhhhh.

Comprehension washed over Tae Hwan and he flashed the young man a grin. "Don't worry kid. I got you covered." He said, shooting him a finger gun pose as he turned back around to get the guy his drink. Chap must have meant a glass of vodka. The stuff did look like water and maybe he was one of those types that didn't want other people to know he was drinking early in the morning. Yes. He was right. When he looked at it that way everything added up. No wonder the kid had looked a little sheepish and uncertain. He didn't want others to know he was going to drink, maybe because he was working or something, and he was worried that Tae Hwan wouldn't understand what he really meant by a glass of water. Not that he had to worry anymore since he had understood his coded language. He was lucky Tae Hwan was on duty today otherwise he might really have ended up with a glass of plain water.

"Here you go kid. One glass of water."
He winked at him as he slid over the glass of vodka and looked between the two, having noticed the way Hye-rin had been staring at him and her friendliness. Was she flirting as well? Damn. Judging by her comments there was a possibility that they weren't together and something in her gaze spelled curiosity and intrigue but then there were many travelling companions who didn't know very much about each other, including drinking habits, not that he'd ever let that happen to him. He'd make sure he knew by heart every drink his partner loved and hated and what mood the choice of drink signalled. "You two travelling together?" He asked out of curiosity and a need to know so he knew what steps to take next. After all, he had learned over the years that pretty woman rarely travelled alone. Hye-rin had clarified that their night out would be as friends but that wasn't the first time he'd been told that and people's minds could change easily. Something he believed himself good at, especially with the opposite sex.

[div class=Container][div class=base][div class=profile]mi-sun[/div][/div][div class=textContainer][div class=scrollbox][div class=textbox]A rumour. How could this have happened? A malicious rumour that turned booming reviews of Goddess of Love Co into one of spite and accusations. The PR department turned into a warzone within minutes of the "news" leaking. Mi-sun had been barking out orders for her colleagues to deny everything they hear. Reporters and journalists demanded a comment from the CEO and when they couldn't, they turned their recorders and cameras to her. Luckily for her, Mi-sun's work face was flawless, she did exactly what she told her team and kept a cool demeanor. But behind closed doors of the public and the office, the lady was about to rip her hair out, her mind was running wild about how to fix the situation and most importantly-- keep her job. Soon, she was called to meet the head honcho. She was prepared to get sacked, but not without a fight of course. She'd been a tremendous contribution to the company and achieved who she is today. To her surprise, she wasn't the only one called in and the boss himself decided to send them away. "To lay low," he said. Mi-sun felt like a fool, there she was thinking of multiple ways to revive their reputation but the single ladies were given a holiday instead. She was confused but relieved. She still had a job. The mandatory holiday seemed like a cover to soften the blow, as their boss dropped the bomb that they could keep their jobs... as long as they could find a partner in a year.

Mi-sun ran her fingers through her hair for the millionth time that morning. Her straight face staring back as she sat in her hotel room. Her mind still running about how she ended up here with four of her colleagues. She actually held a brush in a hand, but her raven locks were miraculously smooth thanks to her finger-combing habit. She wasn't sure if she was having a breakdown or shock from the piled stress from the last few days. It was rare to see the workaholic sit so still and silent for more than 10 minutes. Once she realised her odd behaviour, she gently placed the hair brush back unto the dresser and got changed. She checked herself in front of the mirror, smoothing her coat, straightening the collars, and checking the buttons.

"This is just another assignment, Mi-sun. A direct task given by your boss. You have to succeed for Mi-ah and Jae's sake." Mi-sun stressed, puffing her chest out, forcefully giving herself motivation. But could the workaholic use someone for her own gain? She promotes real love for god's sakes! With a final exaspareted sigh, she grabbed her purse and left her room.

Greeted by the crisp winter air as she stepped out of the warm hotel reception, small clouds of vapour formed as she breathed out. Jeju Island was a lot more peaceful than Seoul, and it truly was a breath of fresh air. Sad to say, Mi-sun struggled to relax and she missed the constant noise of traffic and the hustle and bustle of businessmen and women on the concrete pavements. The peace was short-lived, as an argument broke out not far from the entrance. There truly never was a dull moment in Korea. Curious, Mi-sun brought herself close enough to observe the situation. The voices identified with all too familiar faces, and for a moment, her face drained of colour and filled with dread. It was only their first day here, please let there not be another incident. She hoped the man, that was unfortunately covered in what looked like tomato sauce, did not recognise them. From what she understood, Eunjoo and the man bumped into each other, which lead to their outburst followed by defense from Yumi and Yeo-reum. As far as she knows, they haven't given their names yet. Good.

"Ah my friends! There you are!" Mi-sun waved, walking briskly towards them with a relieved smile. The corners of her lips fell as she got closer, as if just noticing the splashes of sauce. Her eyes jumped from the fallen tteokbokki, her colleagues, and then the man. "Oh no, I should have been here earlier to help you with the snack I asked. I'm so sorry, I just had to take a call." The impromptu lines was making Mi-sun's heart beat faster and faster and hopefully the three ladies would catch on. When she reached the group, her eyes widened at the sight of big bills being thrown out by the man and she feared a lawsuit from this chaebol.

"I'll get the food girls," Mi-sun offered, taking a packet of tissue out for them. She made sure they were facing her as she mouthed the words, 'no names' before dramatically turning towards the man. "I'm so sorry, this is all my fault. Please allow me to take care of your clothes for you, Mr..." She trailed off, prying for his name. And hopefully, this would diffuse this whole mess.

OK SEON-U
Location: outside hotel
Mood: Muddled
--------------------------
Fresh air, he needed fresh air. O.K would discover that he was right to assume that too much rest was bad for you, especially that of the involuntary variety. He had been overworked as of late, even for him. Teaching classes, writing research papers, and sharpening his mind with a variety of needless tests finally took its toll after he was practically forced to go on vacation by his superiors. He would routinely work through his winter and summer breaks, but apparently his superiors put their foot down and strangely enough, their show of force was a two week stay at a nice hotel. As it would turn out, Seon's body knew what he didn’t, thus his system “crashed" as soon as he was able to rest. Seon rolled over slowly, agonizing over the stiffness of his joints.

“…This feeling of uselessness…its worse than a hangover.”

Seon sat up, still rubbing his eyes as he stared off into space for a while. This was different from a break from work. No, it was much worse. This was vacation. “What exactly am I supposed to do?”

Most people would jump at the chance to be ordered to do nothing. However, a life without purpose might as well been death. With a groan, Seon changed into a sweater and jeans and walked outside deep in thought…about nothing. Yes, his concentration was on doing absolutely nothing. “This isn’t vacation…its torture, but relaxing is making me not relax; however, if I don’t relax then I will be violating the conditions of my vacation which means this is an infinite loop of negativity, ugh…” Seon continued to ramble while running his fingers through his hair. He waltzed outside into the cool air that entered his body like a fresh drink. Staying inside his room so long was starting to make him feel queasy. Looking out to the horizon managed to quell his collection of complex thoughts. He inhaled deeply, and slowly released his breath as a formless cloud condensed and dissipated as quickly as it came.

“The ocean always looks better in the winter…no hurricanes.”

This was turning into a party way too fast, and this sauce was too hot on her skin.

Sitting back, Eunjoo seemed to ignore just about every single person talking to her. She ignored the money waved in her face, or the girls approaching to try and solve the situation. Instead, her fingers moved to the bottom of the sweater she wore. Too damn hot, way too hot. It was starting to burn her skin. With one swift motion, she had yanked her sweater off completely. It was then bunched up into a ball, and she began to blot away any sauce that had gotten on her skin after that. Never mind the fact it was freezing outside and she just took her shirt off in front of at least four other people. Including a guy she was only inches away from. After blotting her skin clean a few times, she seemed to finally take notice of the three girls around her. Each one of them was spouting out a different explanation for her, even inciting that she'd not give names! They were clothes, what's the big deal about it?

"I will accept your money, blind man," she announced to him, before reaching forward to pluck up the cash from his hands. She wasn't phased one bit about being mostly topless at the moment, instead pushing herself up onto her feet. "But seriously, they're just clothes. You can get more, food is way different. You actually need it to survive," she said, implying she might as well just die right then and there if she didn't get her snack. "You weren't paying attention either, so don't get all self-righteous about it!" Turning away from the man, Eunjoo just looked to the girls and offered a smile.

"Brrr, it's cold out. Wanna go get food? I mean, you can buy your own, I'm just going back to the stand." Ah yes, because they'll totally sell to the woman without a shirt on at the moment. Least she had a bra on!

Everything occurred so fast. All Jaewon wanted to do was compensate for the money for the girl who collided into him, but it sure brought him a whole lot of trouble along the way. It seems like stress follows the poor fellow everywhere. One after another, girls began to emerge out of nowhere to comfort the suspect who had scattered her food all over him. One apologized for her friend but her tone of voice sure didn't sound too pleased about how straight-forward Jaewon was. He scowled, ready to defend himself before another girl jumped in. This time, this girl had long hair and wore a white beanie, covered in clothes with probably some brand names that Jaewon probably could have acknowledged because his sister bought some similar ones too. It felt as if Jaewon had seen her before somewhere, but he couldn't put her face with a name or any memories that he had in the past. He brushed off aside the idea as she snickered upon Jaewon's ruined brand name clothes. Of course, supporting the other girls.

Jaewon's frown became more and more unpleasant, biting his lips before he really does something unreasonable such as slapping a girl (clearly he wouldn't even do it. He probably already did it in his head). She began attacking him with no hesitation unlike the other two, dissing him as he turned his head to her in response. "According to me, I was doing my own business when this happened. If your 'friend' had any eyes, maybe she would see what she should be doing." He glanced at the white boxes of ddeokbokki, "and if she was really your friend, maybe you could have done something to help her carry this food rather than have this person carry it herself!" He addressed the problem behind this all. If they were really her friends, why didn't they help her carry those rather than allow that girl to carry it all? Weren't these food all for them?

Suddenly, another person popped in fretted about the boxes of ddeokbokki and her friends. She appeared poised and collected than the other girls. "Jo. Jo Jaewon." Jaewon responded to her (Misun) with his last and first name. His clothes were already getting immediately cold, but it seemed to not bother him anymore because he was more disturbed about all of these girls rather than his shirt and the icy wind that flowed through his shirt and into his skin. He glared at the girl earlier who insulted him (Yeoreum) and her friend (Yumi) before he turned his attentiveness back to the other female who just came in the picture. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. It is just a shirt after all." He emphasized the shirt, mocking Yeoreum's tone when she introduced it. Before he could even catch his breath, Eunjoo smacked the bills out of his hands and seized the money, having the guts to call him "blind man." He didn't realize what was going on at first, turning to her now, huffing out a big breath to yell at her that he wasn't a blind man. He then hesitated, blinking a couple of times before he recognized what was going on when he saw her upper body. She was half naked! God lord in the name of the mother and father of this person's child. Was she not ashamed at all? First of all, it was cold as hell and all she was wearing was just her bra. His eyes darted off to look somewhere else, as he began to turn red like a watermelon. "This stupid girl!!" Jaewon yelled in his head. Spectators began poking their head over to their direction because of all of the attention that the girl was grabbing. She didn't even mind and had the audacity to stand up to the rest of her friends to go grab more food. Dear lord, the savior that this girl [Eunjoo] needs in her life.

It was Jaewon's fault for not noticing her, but it wasn't his fault that she toppled herself and the food all over. It wasn't a fair fight between him and the girls because they all ganged up on Jaewon and was on her side. What kind of people were they?! He couldn't bear to dodge her any longer, still red from being shy of seeing a girl's upper body for the first time. Ok, fine. He'll take responsibility for this incident just because this girl has no shame at all, more than Jaewon himself.

He stood up, scanned the spectators until he found someone he wanted. "You." He commanded. The person's eyes began growing big, pointing at himself, "Me?" Jaewon nodded, bending his index finger to gesture him to come forward. The spectator followed his demands, advancing towards him with a perplexed expression. Jaewon immediately stripped off the black puffer jacket he had and took out his wallet, handing him money to compensate it. "This should be more than enough for something like this." The man dumbfoundedly nodded, not arguing back because Jaewon was really giving more than enough as the spectator ran back to his group of friends. Jaewon turned to Eunjoo and threw the black jacket over her head, his eyes still trying to avoid the girl's body.

"There. Take that to cover yourself. This makes it even." He stuck his hands in his pockets, trying to sound like he was trying to find an excuse for her to wear something so she wouldn't have any attention centered towards her upper body. It wasn't right for a woman to be half naked because of something like this. Jaewon wouldn't dare to take any advantage over that of any woman that he would encounter, even he if despised them or not.

tumblr_pc2ea8cVIq1utfw96o2_540.gif
He turned to the other girls with a worried expression then turned around as he tried to hide that expression, avoiding any ideas that he was trying to help them. "I-I'll be going now." He said with an unpleasant tone, walking away from the scene and marched back to the hotel. He smelt like ddeokbokki and it wasn't too pleasant since the cold was biting onto his skin, so he scurried off back to his hotel room to take a shower and change into another set of clothes. This time, he would wear warmer clothes than he did in the morning.

When the kid started coughing and spluttering like a dying engine, Tae Hwan was horrified. The contents of that expensive glass of premium vodka he had taken the pains to pour for him after figuring out his code was flying out the boy's mouth like he'd been served dishwater. Not even his ex's slap had stung as much as this insult. And then a small part of him felt relief and took consolation in the fact that he had been facing Hye-rin and not his precious bar counter when it happened. Some of the vodka spit had gotten on the counter top anyway but at least it wasn't as much of a disaster as if he had been facing it. And he had to find some degree of comfort in that so that he would not go off the rails about him coughing out his drink. Anger is not a good luck for you Tae Hwan. Do not mar the beauty of your face with a frown. He ran the words through his head several more times as he cleaned the counter top thoroughly of the mess the kid had just made, successfully calming himself with them. Tae Hwan would have laughed hearing the kid call Hye-rin, Rinrin and himself Hajoojoo if not for the vodka. They were cute nicknames and Hye-rin's was simply adorable. You would think two people who called each other by such nicknames would be really close and they probably were, but then again he had coughed and spluttered while facing her. Last he checked that was not a move that would get the ladies swooning over you nor would it earn you any brownie points. That was the kind to get you slapped or a big fat no to a second date. Normally he would give any guy at his bar a free drink for screwing up his chances with a pretty lady cause it meant his own chances were boosted but not this time. Not when he spat out the vodka, called Hye-rin his 'best friend' (whatever that was code for) and had wrapped his arms all around her like he was claiming his territory. If he was doing this on purpose and that innocent looking happy face was nothing more than an act then he was doing a very good job of it because he was pushing almost all of Tae Hwan's buttons. "It's great that you ran into each other then. I'm glad my bar is playing a part in bringing friends together." He kept a smile plastered on his face as he spoke reminding himself not to give himself away by letting his annoyance show on his face, his hands hidden out of his sight behind the bar counter where they were fidgeting with a glass. "If you don't mind me asking when did you guys meet? High school, middle school, college?" Tae Hwan needed to know more so he could figure out his chances and the course of action he ought to take. In the meantime, he would just have to satisfy his annoyance by giving the kid his bill for the drink. He slid the bill over the counter to Hajoon ever so casually as he spoke. Maybe seeing the number of zeroes on the paper would wipe that smile off his face.

[/div][div class=largecontent][div class=lcscroll]mi-sun was here too now; it was starting to be a whole party! yeo-reum caught the words their senior mouthed, though she supposed it was a little late for that. they were off-work anyways, and she doubted this prissy boy even read the news. it'd be fine. mi-sun was using her "mum voice" to address the man, and though yeo-reum could understand why, she still didn't think he deserved any sort of apology— maybe from eunjoo, but the rest of them had no need to spitting out sorry's for both of their carelessness. he was such a douchebag.

the other perpetrator had gone quiet for some time, and yeo-reum looked donw at her, just in time to catch her colleague very proudly stripping off her top. her mouth dropped to an 'o' shape. was she crazy? nevermind being in public, it was five out. she was gonna catch hypothermia and freeze! as yeo-reum looked around at the crowd slowly forming around their little entourage, she could almost feel the second-hand embarrassment creeping up her neck.

side-eyeing mi-sun, yeo-reum wondered how their senior would be able to talk eunjoo's way out of this one. eunjoo didn't seem phased at all, nor at all unpleasant in her now topless and very, very shameless situation. it was admirable, just in a really bad way. but it seemed mi-sun would not have to struggle to think on her knees, since it looked like the man now had trouble breathing. he had eyes, like the rest of them, and was viewing this... odd scene like everyone else was. and he wasn't taking it well. yeo-reum could see the blush surfacing on his face, all the way up to his ears. it elicited a quiet giggle from yeo-reum that was hidden behind a hand and masked with a gaze elsewhere. with a personality like his, it was probably his first time seeing anything close to this.

he seemed to recover his composure just barely enough to demand someone give up their winter wear, covering up eunjoo. he was still visibly shaken, his expression practically an open book as he turned back to the other 3 girls, stuttering out an unnecessary farewell and leaving promptly. he was a good distance away when yeo-reum finally released the laughter she'd been struggling to hold. [div class=dialogue]"sorry, i- mmff. wow. just wow, you really are something else, eunjoo. that was so good, did you see his face? you might've just ruined his entire vacation. sorry, mi-sun, but he was so flustered!"[/div] she smiled brightly at the rest of them. [div class=dialogue]"i think that might end up being the highlight of my trip. gosh. let's go get breakfast now, yumi, the morning show's over. would you like to join us?"[/div] the question was moreso directed to mi-sun, with her turning slightly to make eye contact with the older girl. yeo-reum had supposed eunjoo would either head back to her room to get an actual top or make a beeline back to the stall to get more tteokbokki, but it was left as an open invitation regardless. why not?

"oh, mi-sun sunbae." she greeted with a confused look and was about to brief her on what happened when eunjoo decided the situation called for her taking her top off.

if yumi was an alarm, she would be the police siren because the only thing she was thinking about was how she wanted the police to take her away from all of this.

she swear the insides of her brain was like that episode of spongebob where him and his clones burned everything in their mind.

"e-eunjoo-yah! what are you-" she sounded but at the complaint of the said female, she stopped before taking a deep breath. just then, the male named jaewon forcible gave (?) eunjoo a jacket to cover herself before retreating. so many things were happening and yumi was going to have a mental breakdown from everything.

though, now that jaewon was gone, eunjoo seemed to have chippered up from having money to buy more food (even from before). sighing a breath of relief, yumi linked one arm with her best friend's and another eunjoo before asking, "can we get like a gallon of apple juice? i need it for my sanity." she might be able to persuade eunjoo (maybe not) or at the very least, yeoreum to get for her some jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). she'll just need to act pitiful.
